Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a place for beginnings...here at the proving grounds, we test the mettle of all applicants for the Otherside in the deity war....

known to most, there is a "holy" war that has been going for eons....unknown to most (angels, demons, and humans alike), this war is wholly unnecessary, and is mainly a game being played by two of the most powerful beings in history....here, we are preparing a force to finally put to rest this rediculous feud...to free the world of these petty titans, and usher in a new day......in the war to date, there are two sides.....God's Side, and Satan's side....here, we are establishing the Otherside.....we WILL end this game, and regain control of our own destinies...

....if you don't feel you have what it takes to join the ranks, you can still support the war effort....work in the bar or inn, or even as a ref at the sparhouse.....or simply hang out to help keep up the morale of our troops...all is greatly appreciated.....enjoy yourselves here, and prepare yourselves for the War...the Otherside will emerge triumphant!

RULES

SPARHOUSE

* Most important rule: "Whatever a ref says, is law. If you feel it was an unfair judgement, pm me and I'll handle it...the ref's donate their time and energy to help train and test our warriors....they do the best they can to make fair calls...do NOT give them grief...any arguing with a ref under match-circumstances will result in an instant ban *

* All you need for a training spar is an opponent and a ref...find 'em both, and have at it....to take part in a ranked duel (to increase your standings in the heirarchy), you need to contact me, and I'll find someone in your rank area....you can't make leaps and bounds up the Chain of Command...take your time, earn your keep, and progress steadily with your ranking *

* If you're new, you have to be tested....the trials are an ever-changing list of requirements all new joins must be able to complete...there is no criteria to study...if you pm me telling me you'd like to join the Resistance, i'll schedule a time for you to begin the trials, and you simply see if you can keep up with what's thrown at you.....this isn't to be exclusive for exclusivness's sake.....we need to be tough, because if we're gonna come out on top in this war, we're going to need the best....our trials have to be hard to weed out the weak....*

BAR

* You do not need to be a warrior in the Resistance to be come here....anyone wishing to come relax or hook up with one of the warriors is more than welcome...we encourage this behavior actually.....there are only three rules to remember in the Bar.....

1.) No Fighting - We built a damn sparhouse for cryin out loud! Don't wreck the bar...take your fights to the sparhouse......if you want to fight just to fight, and not for rank or entry, then hell, you don't even need a ref.....just get at it....do NOT fight in the bar.

2.) Keep it reasonable - I don't care what you do....im glad for all of you to come, relax, and let your hair down.......just keep things from getting so raunchy that they shut down the thread, mmm?

3.) Keep a secret - The location of our establishment is a secret from members of the armies on both sides...let's keep it that way...until you're sure someone's on the up-and-up...don't invite them to the Otherside.

*as he walks throgh the front door of the bar, he touches the archway to make sure the runes are still holding strong, and feeling reassured, he steps the rest of the way in.........he looks around, feeling content with the bar/inn, and sparhouse atached through the archway in the rear, and heads for the bar....he leans on the bar, releases a heavy sigh, and slouches for the first time in weeks....he takes a few deep breaths and begins to compose himself, all the while staring at his ankle....*

*after breathing for a moment, he stands erect, and turns around, back to the bar......he looks at the artifacts displayed around the walls of the building, noting the sequence formed only by the trained eye, and taking special note of the significant vacancies on the walls, comes finally to rest on the gap directly over his head behind the bar......*

*he reaches into the bag he holds in his right hand, and pulls out a spear....nothing extraordinary to it, simply a spear......with a slight tinge of brownish-red to the tip of it...he stares long and hard at the spear's tip, before placing it into the holster on the wall.....he then grabs the bag in his left hand, and it instantly disintigrates....satisfied with his work, he mutters a final spell, all the runes in the building glow dazzlingly bright for a moment, before disappearing into the wood and stone of the structure...he then sits behind the bar, and waits.....*

**walks in the bar with a huge sack on his back, looks around, and sighs heavily* just when things were starting to go so well....THIS happens....*he nails a note to the door, and turns to walk out....he pauses for a moment to look around, before hanging his head and walking out* we've not been stopped........we've been delayed.......*he raises his head, and marches out proudly, shutting the door behind him* we'll see how well these new lords fair.....see if they cant get things going while i'm away*

the message on the door:

"Something has come up that requires my immediate attention....I'm not precisely sure what this means for the Otherside as of yet, but we DO still remain open.....keep brining in new members, and Lords, make sure you begin training post haste.............responsibility for all new joins rests squarely with the Lords of each particular species....training, schooling, and indoctrination.........Humans, Elves, Dwarves and similar, belong to Drake.........All things evil fall under Ice's domain......And all holy creatures are Dante's..........upon my return, there will be much to attend to....make sure you are prepared....."

To all those members of the Otherside, welcome, and greetings....Sorry for this interruption, especially as things were about to start heating up, but Uncle Sam has decided he needs some help over in the desert, so I'm, off to Iraq for the next 8 months or so......i'll be doing my best to get friends to post for me and such, to keep things going...semper fidelis!
