Hello! My name is Chini and yes, I finally finished my quest and am doing what I have always wanted to do since I first walked into another's Charity. So, I went computer graphics crazy and made myself a little charity. Don't just skip to the rules please. My charity is a bit different from others. But before I tell you the differences, let me tell you why I made these differences.
My quest was the Nitemare Scarf. Yes, that 450K thing was a b***h to quest for. But I managed in about a month and a half. It helped that I found someone who sold it to me for about 80% and that I got 75K in donations. What made my thread successful? Mainly, it had a statement of cause. If curious, you may find my old quest thread here:

But, let me back track. I made that thread within the last week I was questing - when the donations really started coming in. Before that, I was, like many of you, a questor with a very lonely thread in the charity/quests forum. I usually would abandon my thread and go charity hopping. I would be quite pleased with the standard 100 G or 200 G donation, but so many charities were like "Stick around and stuff" - yes, all that "sticking around" for 100 G?.appreciated but somewhat frustrating. On the other hand, I really didn't like the other extreme - just popping in, slipping in an application, and then getting a donation about a day or so later. Didn't like it because I knew so many gold-hoarders were doing such. I also didn't like it because there were Gaians getting gold for something worth 2K or so? ~sigh~ So, this said, please understand my charity's purpose.
I don't expect you to "stick around," but if you want to, go for it. What I really want to see is a nice quest thread. One that shows me that you are dedicated in your quest and won't just sell the item, once gotten, for more gold. What makes a nice thread? Well, for starters, it has to have been around awhile-I'm not going to set some "Your quest thread must be at least a week old," sort of rule because it varies from Gaian to Gaian. Some bump lots for a few days and then take a break, others bump bits over a long range of time-etc etc. I also want to see a statement of cause-nothing as lengthy as mine, heavens no. But something that indicates to me what it is you are doing. I also want to see your progress: this is important for me to gage your gold needs. And lastly, if you don't have a donators list, you might as well leave now...how insulting (I have seen such before...).

My purpose and such is stated above. But perhaps a bit about me? ~gasp~ Well, to be frank, I'm a busy college student...not now, it's the summer, but when the charity really gets going, I'm going to be more worried about my grade on my quantum mechanics exam than...Gaia. So, why am I doing this? I really want to - that simple. I will check the thread and my friends will be around and perhaps I'll even have a staff...this is what I hope anyhow. Oh yes, and because I'm proud of my college, I'm going to be a sophomore at Cornell. ^^
hmm, yes, so once again, I'm Chini and this my dears, is a Cheerful Charity.
Important Announcement
I'm no longer looking for a summer job, I have one and it seems like it will be amazing. Also, I know that this introduction was written over the summer of 2005 so some phrasing should be changed to past tense or explained better and such, but whatever the case, I'll fix it later...or just keep it as is because I'm not sure how to change it...
