What is our cause/purpose?

Have you ever seen gaians with their dream avi posted in their sig and wonder how cool it is or how they did it? This can be answered by a genious program made my gaia member Saikatsu, a programer who used Java Script and other programs to make edits to gaian avatars for people to use freely. This program is called GavSim.

As you may or may not know, recently Some Gaian users have been charging others so they can use her program in order to make a profit. This is totally wrong as should have never happened. Now for those of us who use the link know that she has never charged anyone to use it and never intended to which is a ludicris comment.

Now we are here to set things straight and show that we the members of Gaia support Saikatsu in her actions and petition that she either
arrow 1. Has her own space on gaia to conduct her program freely.
arrow Or 2. To show her and the rest of gaia that we love her work and that she should run her site, link and program freely without any accusations what so ever.
arrow To stop Idiotic Gaian members who charged others to use her program. (I.e u want a dream avatar? Gimme 1k and ill make it for u!)

If you would like to help this cause there is a number of ways you can help Saikatsu and this thread. Heres how to do it:
arrow The main way is to sign to this petition. Just post that u agree and sign to this and ur name will be added to the Signatures post.
arrow Donate banners or links to be put on the petition. If you have any art or banners that you would like to be used here just PM them to skaterforsale.

Only with your help can we have a chance to help Saikatsu out

I had thought that she disabled it because of people using the GAVsim and selling the created images as art or something of the like. confused

And despite how much I would like to see either of the avatar creators come back, if the admins did approach her about such, then chances are the decision will stand that way. sad

True, but the final decision remains with her. Odds are that we don't hold that much influence as to whether or not she brings it back or not.
