Friendship bracelets!
I've weaved friendship bracelets for longer than I like to think about. I've wanted to make a shop on gaia for a while, but I couldn't think of what to sell. Selling friendship bracelets in real life and selling them online are two different things. Gaia gold probably doesn't register in paypal, either.
So I made them on the computer! Virtual bracelets for you to display proudly for all the world to see!
They come in three styles. Basic, Chinese Staircase, and V.
Basic:
Ordering either of these will cost 50g. However, if you want custom colors on a 4 knot bracelet (The thinner of the two) it is an extra 10g. Adding a row of custom color to the bracelet costs an extra 5g per row. Right now, you can only have up to 6 rows (6 knots). A 4 knot bracelet gives you a choice of five colors and it goes up by 1 per row, so a 6 knot bracelet has seven colors.
Chinese staircase:
This bracelet will cost you 50g, and adding custom colors is an extra 10g. You can have as many colors as you like and you can decide if you want one spiral, two spirals, or three spirals of each color. The image above is two spirals per color.
V:
The bracelet above will cost 50g. Adding custom colors costs an extra 10g. At this point in time, you can't add rows to this bracelet. In this bracelet, you have a choice of 3 colors. Also, this bracelet comes with the option of a loop at the top, rather than loose strings. The loop costs an extra 5g.
General information:
The bracelets are based on real bracelets, which is why the color limits are set up. In a real bracelet, it takes 5 strings to make a 4 knot bracelet, and it takes 6 strings, 3 pairs of the same color, to make the V. The Chinese Staircase is extremely simple and the amount of colors in that one depends on your skill, so it's unlimited as long as the string is long enough. Also, sometimes color combination or order matters. You can choose the order of your colors, just like a real bracelet. Just to add more options to your purchase, there is a difference between the sample bracelets: one is straight and even, one is bumpy and uneven. In a real bracelet, only the tightest knots will come out even and more often than not the bracelet will be looser and come out bumpy. You can pick which one you like better. There is no extra cost for this.
