Due to all sorts of computer troubles and other stuff, I lost a lot of the stuff for my other shops, and so decided to begin again with something new. And so, here we have it! Soulsteeds!

That's not all that will be sold here, however - as those that know me can tell you, I have a bad habit of coming up with new critters all the time! So, if Soulsteeds aren't quite your thing, scroll down to the Other Critters section! There you will find such creatures as Faemice, Aquasprites and Squicafo!

1. No stealing. It's rude. This goes for everything here. Failure to comply will result in a blacklisting and being reported to a mod.
2. No nastiness. This means no flaming, insulting, belittling etc of me, my shop, my customers etc. Again, blacklisting will happen.
3. No whining. So your custom or breeding is taking a little longer than expected. I am a single parent, which means that my time on the computer is sporadic, and often not for long. I will get to it, so please be patient. If you want to know the status of your order, check next to your name in the queue.
4. Follow the general Gaia ToS, and all will be well.
5. Flatsales are first come first served. Do not edit your posts once made, and do not try to exchange your Soulsteed with anyone else. I won't allow it.
6. I reserve the right to add more rules if needed.

Are Soulsteeds RP required?
Nope. In the future, I might make breeding dependant on RPing your Soulsteed/s, but for now, all I ask is that you come and bump regularly.

Do you do pet trades?
Pet trades? Yup! However, be warned that I will only trade customs for customs, and will NOT do lineart changes. Also, I will want a link to your shop or an adult sample pic of the critter you are proposing to trade so I can see them. I reserve the right to refuse the trade - not becuse I think your pet sucks or anything like that, but I am quite picky about the type of pets I like.

Can we pay for flatsales/customs with items?
Only if you don't have the gold, as I do prefer pure money. I will accept items at the mid-marketplace value - what this means is that if an item has prices between 3k and 4k, I consider it to be worth 3.5k. Also, I value Sealed Letters at 5k.

Do you do customs of your Other Critters pets?
At the moment, only the Faemice are customisable. The others might be in the future, depending on how many people would be interested.

Do you accept items as payment? And what about sealed letters?
I accept items at mid marketplace value, so average out the cost of the item there and you will have what I value it at. Sealed letters I take as 5k. I know they are currently selling for an average of 6k, but it is my shop and I can charge what I like. So there.

Are the Other Critters pets breedable?
Not just yet. What I will be doing in the future is setting up a limited number of Other Critters breeding slots, for those who have Faemice, Thingies or Aquasprites. Elven Oracle Globes will never be breedable, so don't bother asking.

Human belief. It's a powerful thing, and when we lose it, repercussions are felt throughout the planes linked with the one we call home.

Long ago, at birth, a child would be visited by a special creture known as a Soulsteed, who would imprint upon them their main personality for the rest of their lives. Everything from laughter to envy was brought by them, and so the human race was kept balanced between those who would do good and those who would do evil.

However, as technology developed, belief in the supernatural waned, and the Soulsteeds found that they could no longer reach newborn babies to gift them. Development was left up to the human parents, and it seemed that the balance was shifting towards a race of the darker emotions, learned from the state of society. Too, the Soulsteeds, un-needed, were unable to have children, and they feared for their existence.

However, there would prove to be light at the end of the long, dark tunnel. Belief began to re-emerge, and hope came back to the planes. Children, used to seeing the impossible in their world, began to accept that anything could happen, and the Soulsteeds were enabled to take up their ancient task once more. But this time, they made sure that they would never again begin to fade, by staying close to those children whom they visited and guiding them through life.

Too, they began visiting those who were already grown, but whose minds had been opened to possibility, and ever so slowly, the balance righted itself. Now? Well, Soulsteeds still bond themselves to humans, not only to guide them but to learn more about us, and what controls out faith in the unexpected.

Soulsteeds are just like humans in the sense that they are not all sweetness and light - in fact, some of them can be downright nasty. This is why they are separated into 'White', 'Grey', and 'Black' types - generally the same sort of thing as Good, Neutral and Evil.

They embody their type perfectly - for example, an Envy type is incurable jealous of everything and everyone, and can also foster that emotion in others. An Illusion type generates the feeling that they might or might not actually be there. A Bravery type is a warrior, and inspires courage. Get the idea? Here is a short list of the currently known types:

'White' Types
Wisdom, Love, Laughter, Compassion, Creativity, Healing, Bravery, Honour

'Grey' Types
Illusion, Justice, Responsibility, Power, Challenge, Belief, Mystery, Knowledge

'Black' Types
Betrayal, Rage, Despair, Fear, Illness, Hate, Envy, Confusion, Selfishness

Soulsteeds have four stages, as shown in the image below. The Egg stage lasts between 4-7 days, the Child between 7-10 days, the Teen from 7-10 days, and the Adult will be held on my server for a week to give you time to host it yourself. Once you have hosted it, please let me know, preferably via PM.

Soulsteeds can communicate with each other via telepathy from the Child Stage, but they cannot successfully do this with humans until the Teen Stage. They can communicate feelings such as hunger, boredom, happiness etc however. And for those who wish to RP their Soulsteeds, they are, in horse terms, about 15 hands high. Think average horse size.

Want to see what a certed Soulsteed looks like? Here is my own to show you, about half size. There are two certificate options to choose from - on the left is Option A, on the right is Option B, created by the lovely Star Sorceress.

Okay, the cool stuff. How do you go about getting your own Soulsteed? Or Other Critter? Well, there are a few ways, but the main one is flatsales. Auctions and Raffles are classed as Special Events (see that post), and Customs also have their own section. So really, it is just the flatsales that I will be outlining here.

When a flatsale happens, if might be one of two kinds - either a New Owners flatsale, in which only those who don't yet have a Soulsteed can participate (this will be announced, otherwise it's a normal sale), or a General Flatsale, for everybody. The details are the same for both types. So, the how.

1. Wait until I have posted in large, bold, indigo letters that the flatsale has started. Any posts before this attempting to claim a Soulsteed or Other Critter will be ignored.
2. You can purchase a maximum of two per flatsale. Other Critters have different allowances, so check the Other Critters post if it is that sort of sale.
3. When you see me post confirming that you have gotten that Soulsteed or Other Critter, you will need to send me the trade, and either include the name you wish to give it in the title or post it in the thread.
4. When the trade is fully confirmed, and I have certed the Soulsteed or Other Critter, I will PM it to you.
5. Remember to direct link, or it won't grow, and once it reaches the Adult stage you will have a week to host it yourself.

Pretty easy, huh? The available Soulsteeds will be shown in the Current Sales section just below, while the Other Critters will be in that section further down.

Flatsale Soulsteeds cost 3k.

Note - remember that you can choose either certificate option A or B, and you must make this clear to me or I will pick for you.

Don't want to wait for a flatsale? Haven't seen anything you like so far? Then you can choose to get yourself a custom Soulsteed! These vary in price, as shown by the image and text below.

Colours only will cost you 5k, whether a solid colour or having two different body colours as shown. A 'pinto' type of Soulsteed is also classed as two colours.
One type of pattern will cost you 7k, as shown by the spotted example. This means that the pattern you choose, eg spots, stripes etc is the only pattern that can be used on the Soulsteed, though you can have more than one colour.
Two types of pattern will cost you 9k, as in the stripes and stars pattern shown in the sample. This is because a second pattern means another layer in Photoshop, the way I do these, and that takes a little extra time. Not much, but still...

Now, as to Other Critters Customs - so far, I will only be accepting custom orders for Faemice, Thingies, Aquasprites and Squicafo. Perhaps the Elven Oracles will be added in the future, perhaps not. We will see. Again, make sure there is a custom slot open before ordering, and use the appropriate form below.

If it is a cosplay Faemouse you are after, PM me first to make sure I am willing to do what you would like, including a reference pic, and if I want to do it, we can discuss the price. Most likely cosplays will cost between 6k and 10k, depending on how hard they are for me.

Yes, Soulsteeds are breedable! To breed yours, there are a few guidelines that need to be followed, and these are:

1. You need to have two Soulsteeds.
2. 'Black' types cannot breed with 'White' types.
3. 'Grey' types can breed with any type, but must be of a male/female pairing.
4. 'Black'/'Black' and 'White'/'White' breedings can be of the same gender - after all, Soulsteeds are spirit creatures, and so do not 'mate' as mortal creatures do.
5. Both Soulsteeds must be at the Adult stage.
6. If breeding your Soulsteed with one owned by another, you must purchase either one or two eggs each. If both potential parents are your own, you can purchase only two eggs. This means that each owner can have a maximum of two eggs each.

To go ahead with a breeding that matches all these guidelines, you must then check below to see if a breeding slot is actually open. If so, fill out the form, send the trade, and wait for your breeding to be completed!

What are special events? For starters, I class such things as auctions and raffles as a special event. Other types will be various competitions etc, and the relevant information on them will be posted when they actually happen.


Animated Soulsteed Auction!


Okay, my first attempt at animating a Soulsteed! I had to simplify the certificate to a great extent, as Imageready was arguing with the size of the proper one, but still....

Anyway, this took quite a lot of work, and that is why the starting bid is so high. Don't like it? Don't bid. Simple.

This auction will run until some time on the 30th September, my time. Which means that it might be the 29th for a lot of you in other countries.

For those that know me, you will be aware of the fact that I am forever coming up with new ideas for pets. And so, rather than try and run a million shops at once, as has happened in the past, this section is for me to sell these other pets in when I feel like it!
