The twinkle of the stars provides little illumination to the vast blackness of space. Far off, close, and anywhere inbetween, the giant balls of gas flicker and flame, living out their solitary lives in constant persuit of the ultimate: the supernova. Among the stars, other bodies reside; an asteroid glides gently along, going noplace in particular, and many planets revolve serenly, all in different stages of formation. Some are bursting with lava-spewing volcanos, while others settle happily in their completeness, with earth, water, air, and life.
One planet just like any other, and yet at the same time so uniquely different from every other body that may ever be created, orbits one of the twinkling stars; it has passed the lava-like stage of developement, and possesses two fully-developed continents, one large ocean, and quite the example of unique life.
Both continents settled on the planet are quite large; if they were combined, they would make up about one-fourth of the entire planet. Although the rest of the heavenly body is made up of one large ocean, the two continents are only separated by a piece of ocean about as large as half of one of the continents. Occasionally, the life forms inhabiting the planet will travel back and forth via boat or plane, interacting with each other or simply trading.
There are many different examples of life, in this particular planet; mammals, reptiles, aves, insects, as well as many examples of vegetation. Among all these amazing creatures, two divisions of the mammalian kingdom have evolved past their bretheren; one resides on the dry, dusty continent of Graphiret, while the other chooses to make its home on the rainy lands of Jeu'tsu.
The residents of Graphiret are variants of the fox; a sly, wary canine, with coarse fur, and a quick tongue. Their compliments, making their way in Jeu'tsu are close cousins of the red panda, a delicate species with more gentle, honorable tendancies. Both live in a love/hate relationship, as any beings of higher intelligence would; contact between the two continents was made several hundred years ago, and has been sustained with only normal bumps of dipliomacy.
With all of its oddities, uniqueness, and interesting species, this planet with its two continents, Graphiret and Jeu'tsu, is doing quite well; its inhabitants are mostly content, there aren't any major planetary changes, and there has not yet been any mention of nuclear weapons. Hopefully everything will keep going as it is, and the many beings living on the planet may have the chance to adventure, to discover, to hate, to love: to live.!
