If you recieve a Toivoa that isn't exactly how you wanted them to look or their personality is different than what you planned, suck it up. 4. Don't BEG: If you don't get a Toivoa through a flatsale, auction, or event, you're not getting one. Period. I'm sorry. 5. Be RESPECTFUL: Don't flame or belittle anyone on this thread, they have just as much a right to be here as you do. If you have an actual critical opinion, be polite about it and try to stay coherant. Netspeak is the devil. (Not intended to offend) 6. DO: feel free to ask questions, post fanart, or post comments/suggestions in the thread. Everything is OOC unless you see an RP going on. In that case, please use ((parentheses)) 7. NO CO-OWNING: Someone can help you pay if they want to. But only one person per Toivoa. And on that note... 8. ONE Toivoa per person: You may not have more than one Toivoa under any circumstances. 9. BLACKLISTINGS: In the event that you find yourself blacklisted from this shop. you are not to post in this or any related Toivoa threads. Nor can you recieve a Toivoa by any means. 10. NO DREAM-TOIVOA: We LOVE that you enjoy our shop so much that it has inspired you to create your own character but PLEASE do not talk about them in the thread. 11. What we say GOES: We retain the right to revoke your Toivoa under any circumstance [b]without refund.[/b] But keep in mind that we'll only go to such an extreme after it's carefully considered and not for something trivial. 12.The only time you may recieve a refund is if we don't fulfill the orignal agreement of at least three stages. RP-INTENSIVE: Yes, these are RP-intensive pets. [b]If you don't post a RECENT EVENT entry in your Prayer Log once every month (VERY minimum), and RP with someone else once every so often, you will be warned, and if you continue to be inactive, your Toivoa will be transferred to someone else.[/b] If you need a hiatus, just post something in the thread and/or PM one of the shop accounts. Please make sure you've CONFIRMED it with someone. If you don't recieve a reply back, send it again. 2. NO GODMODING: Everyone's got weaknesses and so does your Toivoa. Remember, they've all gone through a recent trauma...things will be shaky with them for awhile. 4. PERSONALITIES: Once you recieve your Toivoa, we will set up your Prayer Log (to be given to your Toivoa in character by Aelia or Tosia). In the first post of your Prayer Log there will be a brief personality. You can expand upon it however you wish. Just try and retain some of the traits written. 5. STAY IN CHARACTER: You must keep your Toivoa in character. You're given a lot of room to develope them however you wish. If you can't seem to get the personality down, we will give you a warning and possibly a few suggestions. If there still is no change, we'll have to revoke your Toivoa. 6. NO GAIA: There is no such thing as Gaia in the Toivoan universe. Your avatar/character will have NOTHING to do with your Toivoa. And on that note. There's no Earth, either. History is completely different. There's no Earth countries or anything like that. IT'S A COMPLETELY NEW WORLD! [b]Flatsale Rules[/b] 1. You will have anywhere from an hour to two days to write your entry depending on the specific flatsale. 2. You may not edit your post once your entry is submited so make sure it's exactly the way you want it. 3. Try to format your entry neatly, it won't really count against you but it makes it easier and quicker for us to read. 4. You may enter for someone else but that person [b]must[/b] post in the thread before the flatsale begins that you will be submitting for them. (We'd rather that person enter themselves so we can see their RP skills but we understand that things happen.) 5. Try and have all 20k available in case you do win. We can wait a few days but you will not recieve your cert and Prayer Log until we are paid at least half. (Special arrangements can be made. Just ask via AIM or PM.) 6. Don't be depressing! The Nozomi are a God-worshipping society. They have a basic social class: the rich, the comfortable, and the poor. All of which, for the most part, live harmonious with one another. The rich weren't tyrants but they weren't saints either. The poor weren't dying of starvation, but they didn't live luxuriously either. Their occupations consisted of industrial factory workers (majority of population), architectures, and merchants. Very few dealt with agriculture but the farmers that did were very wealthy. The Goddesses' priests and priestesses were the only Nozomi educated in the medical field. [b]The Toivoa.[/b] Pronounced: Twah-voh-uh. (Singular: Toivoan) Information Pending.[/size]

Neither could see clearly through the gloom and their hopes of finding any survivors in Irisade soon diminished. Tosia was beginning to doubt anyone was left on Rstyh until an exclamation from Aelia turned her attention toward a faint figure stumbling toward them... This is basically just a "wait a few days for us to gather our bearings, edit the cert, make sure everything's drawn, etc." stage. It also gives the players time to get comfortable with the basic personality given, plan how they're going to expand on it, and set up their prayer journal. During this time the player will be required to set up a Roleplay date with either Aelia or Tosia so that the child can be found. Stage lasts: Anywhere from a couple of days to a week. (May vary when concerning customs.)[/size] [size=10][b]Second Stage: Toivoa Child[/b][/size] [b]Image Pending[/b] [size=9] This stage is crucial to your Toivoa's development. The children have been through quite a shock and most, depending on their personalities, will be affected greatly. In this stage, they must cope with their new environment, the loss of their families, the tasks they are given and their newly found freedom. Let's face it, kids like to believe they're ready to be adults. The Toivoa are now FORCED to be adults. They're responsible for the survival of their race AND rebuilding the planet. That's a big responsibility for a handful of children. But they ARE just kids and should still act child-like. Stage lasts: This will probably be the longest lasting stage and growth depends heavily on RP. If you neglet your Toivoa, it won't grow. Simple as that. (*Important Note*: The artwork for the children Toivoa won't have unique poses. They will have the same body-base but hair/face/clothing/markings/etc will be uniquely drawn for each child) [/size] [[size=10][b]Toivoa Teen[/b][/size] [b]Image Pending[/b] [size=9] Ahhh, the terrible teens. By now your Toivoan will have come to terms with the disaster in their own unique way. It can even still be a driving force behind them for better or for worse. The events that happened/relationships that have formed during their child stage will be heavily reflected in the way they act as teens. romances start to blossom, tempers rise, and the path to adulthood is just beyond their reach. They may want to be a little more independent then they were as children and are quite like the modern-teenagers of Earth. But since they are teens and can handle a bit more, they will recieve new and even more challenging tasks from the Goddesses. Stage lasts: Also a stage that heavily depends on the amount of RPing you do. If you only RP once a month (the minimum) it's unlikely that your Toivoa will ever reach adulthood. Hell, it's probably unlikely it'll make it to the teen stage. However, if we deem that you have been active and your Toivoa is ready to move on the Goddesses will present you with a quest. And once that quest is completed, your Toivoa will be ready to grow. Quests will vary from Toivoa to Toivoa. [/size] [size=10][b]Fourth Stage: Toivoa Adult[/b][/size] [b]Image Pending[/b]

[b]Are there different classes of people?[/b] - There is a basic system of social class: the rich, the comfortable, and the poor. [b]Is there a reigning (or once reigning) monarch?[/b] - A royal family was once prominent on Rstyh but the last of the line died in a transportation accident more than a hundred years before the destruction. She had no (known) children. The family name has long since been forgotten. [b]Is the society matriarchal or patriarchal?[/b] - Matriarchal, also the reason two Goddesses were assigned to the Rstyh. The Nozomi are very into the mother-right and believe that those that GIVE life are of great importance. This is not to say men do not have a prominent role in society. [b]Does the planet have moons?[/b] - Yes, two. The people named them Tosia and Aelia, in honor of the Goddess' and usually found in a position directly above the appropriate temple. The moons were a gift from the Gods after the Guardians (Tosia and Aelia). Some of the...cynical citizens believe it was more of an apology gift. Or a "thank you for taking them off our hands.) [b]Are the Nozomi literate?[/b] - Yes, very much so. Everyone, including the poor, are taught to read from a VERY young age (around 2.). Reading, writing, and artistic endeavors (musical theatre and painting, mostly) are the biggest forms of entertainment on Rstyh. However, schooling is very different on Rstyh. There is no public education system. Children are taught by their families, or they can hire private tutors to help educate them. Tutors are expensive so in most cases, only the upper classes are able to hire one. [b]How did the Perditium effect the people and their economy / developement? Other than wiping almost everyone out?[/b] - It destroyed everything. EVERYTHING. The whole planet basically needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Some things (trinkets and the like) may have survived along with the Goddess' temples (headquarters) but other than that it's all gone. So it has a MAJOR effect on the people, since they are the ones given the task to rebuild. [b]Did the Perditium change the Toivoa's attitudes about life any?[/b] - Each individual survivor will probably have different views/reactions to the destruction of their planet. Some will take comfort in their new task of rebuilding, some will be bitter, some will need companionship, but they all will realize they have to do something or their lives were somehow spared for nothing. [b]How do they treat women / men on Rstyh?[/b] - Men and women are treated pretty equally despite the mother-right. Everyone can hold a position of power but (in the case of royalty and business positions requiring a hierarchy) instead of it being handed down to the eldest male, power is granted to the eldest female.[/size]
