<center>Old Story<-->New Story

It has been almost half a year since the evil Nikkomaru was defeated, and the Legend-children could rest in peace. The heroes could take a breather, but calm and serenity only last so long...

It was that very day that Shiori Minamoto could no longer find any children that were without homes, so she closed up the Center, her work there done.

At least until one weekend morning...

She and her daughter Nikkoryu were rummaging through some of the center's furniture, trying to see what could be put to use in the manor.

It was then they discovered a small child hiding in the cupboards, and the story began anew...

<center>Stages and Legend-child Info

Legend-children are basically animals or elements that have been possessed by the spirit of a hero. There are six basic stages of a Legend-child, as well as two extra stages.

Baby: The Legend-child appears after a few days at your house, cave, etc., as a baby, wrapped in a white blanket. He/she is completely helpless in this stage, and is totally dependant on you. After a few days, babies are able to communicate amongst themselves and toddlers, but their words will still be unrecognizable by others.

Toddler: Your child has grown up just a bit, but he/she is still dependant on you. The Legend-child will be able to crawl around, and maybe walk a bit as well as say a few words and incomplete sentences.

Kid: The Legend-child will be between the ages of 7 and 12, able to walk, talk, play, and be an absolute handful. Your child's development in this stage is extremely important, as well as his/her ability to make friends.

Teenager: Your Legend-child is now on his/her way to becoming an adult, showing signs of maturity. He/she will probably be more distant and rebellious, but there are the rare few who develop a bond between their caretakers and are obediant.

Youth/Young Adult: This stage begins when your Legend appears to be between the ages of 17 and 21. The rebellious stage is over *phew*, and your 'little one' is no longer a child. He/she shall become more independant and ready to see the world. This is the stage where bonding with another Legend occurs, and the bond could even become to where the two wish to be mates. Breeding can occur at this stage! So be wary of how 'friendly' your Legends are getting, or unexpected babies could be the result.

Adult: The final stage of development(But not the final stage.), your Legend should be by this time no longer dependant on you. He/she can choose to be mated, and remember, the Legends mate for life. Roleplay is no longer required, but if you wish for your Legend to become a true Legend, then roleplay is extremely encouraged. Unless I just like you.

Legend: What is this? An extra stage? This stage can only be obtained by faithful roleplay, good behaviour, and just 'cause I can. Your character may gain wings, extra markings, powers, etc.

Shadow Child: As Scooby would say, "Ruh-roh..." Apparently you didn't roleplay enough or any at all! You completely neglected your child, and before we could get it to another (hopefully more caring) owner, it turned into this! Shadow Children are evil Legends who I will use to move the plot along. If your child becomes a Wraith, you can bet your dang dollar that it no longer belongs to you.

Note: The stage length will vary depending on the amount of roleplay, and when I feel that your child is ready for the next stage. DO NOT BUG ME ABOUT GROWTHS, IT WILL ONLY GET YOU BLACKLISTED. I do have a life, you know.

Acquiring a Legend

There are several methods you can use to get a Legend-Child.

Flatsale: At a flatsale, there will be two to four Children, depending on what's going on. Each one will go for 5k. There will also be a prompt that you must answer in order to win. So basically, multiple people can enter for one Child, but only one person may win. You may try out for more than one Child, but you will only be allowed win one of them. If you already own a Child, you may not buy one via flatsale. You will have to get another from an auction or some other method. Also, wait until I post GO in big letters to post your replies to the prompts. Thanks.

Auction: Auctions will be for custom characters, meaning you get to decide what they look like and what not, or they will be for cosplay characters. There may also be auctions for Wild Children, the Legend-Children that are found while roleplaying. These children may be half grown, so make sure you're okay with that. The bidding will start at 5k.

Breeding: Breeding can only occur with a male and female Adult or Young Adult. It will cost 3k per owner, and there will be anywhere from one to four Children produced. But sometimes, the two cannot afford to pay for breeding. What happens then?

Then the Children will go up for Adoption, and the cost will vary from child to child.

What happens if the parents get more Children then they can handle? Or what if they are looking to make a profit off of the breeding?

Well, the parents can put the Children up for auction, with the starting bid of their choice. *Note: This option is only for the owners who have paid the full price for breeding.

Adoption: The fourth option is adoption. Sometimes, owners will just be unable to take care of their Children, and will either put them up for adoption, or in the case of neglective owners, will get the Children taken away.

The abandoned can be found here, and the price will vary from Child to Child.

Pet Trades: Theres a fifth way to get a Legend-Child, without having to pay or go through the trouble of raising it to Adolescence. And that, my friends, is called a pet trade.

Kouseiyouso (Would be nice... ^^)
Scoop (Nyar, I would faint. >< wink
Any pet cosplaying Baralai (FFX-2) or Kimahri (FFX) (It would have to be a pet that has at least four stages and is roleplayable. ^^)

Breeding Info

Hokay, so your children are all grown up and want to have babies of their own, right? Well, cool, but let's get a few things straight. First off, the Legend-children must be at either the Young Adult or Adult stage. Second, there has to be a male and a female. I don't care if you want to have male/male, female/female relationships, but no babies are comin' from 'em. XD Third, there has to be a slot open. No slots, no babies.

The fee for breeding is 10K (10,000G for those of you who didn't know). Steep, yeah, but there can be anywhere from 2-4 babies per breeding. I don't care how you divide up the fee amongst yourselves as long as it totals 10K.

Rules

1. No spamming, please. Bumps are okay, but only if they are needed.

2. No chatspeak. That means the use of numbers and abbreviations(except with names) aren't allowed. I hate deciphering that crap. Little faces like XD, and such that I use all the time are okay.

3. Be kind and courteous. Do not flame me, the art, or your neighbor.

4. NO STEALING THE ARTWORK! Please, I know it's just a drawing, but I work hard on every single one. Plus, you're going to get in some big trouble if you steal someone else's child...

5. Don't whine if you don't get a Child. I will not take pity on you. Just wait for the next flatsale/auction or take time to get a dang custom.

6. Do not PM others for their Legend-Child. They won't give them to you, and if your name is given to me, it's your name on the blacklist, bud. Don't PM me either. I like to keep my inbox clear.

7. THESE ARE ROLEPLAY-MANDATORY PETS. You must roleplay at least once a month or post in your Child's journal once a week. If you can't handle this, either co-own, or go look for another pet.

FAQ

How do I get a Child?

Read the 'How to Get a Legend-Child' Post.

I don't have enough money! Can you lower the price?

No, I can't. Here's why. If I lowered the price, everyone and their dog would keep pushing it until the Children would be free. Just save up, you'll eventually have enough.

How many can I have?

There's somewhat of a limit, but I'm kind of lax on this. Here's how things go. If you already have a pet, you cannot buy one from a flatsale. This is to try to introduce new people to the shop. ^^ Auctions are free game, as are customs and pet trades.

Can we co-own?

Sure, as long as someone's roleplaying.

I can't post everyday, what do I do?

You don't have to post EVERY day, silly. XD Just pop in the shop and see us at least once a week and you'll be fine. If you can't handle the roleplaying, then you might want to look into co-owning with someone.

Guest Artists: Yeah, that's right, I'm looking for a couple of guest artists to do a few Legends. ^^ Should you wish to apply for a Guest Artist, please PM me with a few samples of your drawings. If you are accepted, you will be allowed to draw a Legend-child and all his/her stages, and he/she will be auctioned off at a starting price of your choice.

Shop Art I would like ten drawings of some scenes from the old roleplay. I'll scatter these throughout the shop to make it look a little less dull. ^^ Again, if you're up to it, PM me, and I'll tell you which scenes you'll be drawing.
