Welcome to Meriko's (boring) Halo quest thread. ^^

This quest was begun for various reasons, but the main two are that having something to quest for makes being on Gaia more fun for me, and the Halo is the last item I need to complete my angelic items set. The thread itself was begun so that I would have a place to keep track of my Halo fund.

Important note: This quest has a less than one percent chance of being completed, the price of a Halo being what it is. If you want to donate but only if the donation goes toward the purchase of a Halo, please make note of that when donating so that I know that your donation should be returned if I ever quit this quest. ^^ Thank you~

Quest Diary:

06/01/05: What better month to begin a Halo quest in than June? :3 The journey has begun. I'm starting off at 1% of goal with approximately two million gold worth of donation letters in my knapsack. *hee*

09/22/05: Traded OMG, AFK, December '03, Angelic Scarf, June '04, Horns of the Demon, Steel Plated Ninja Band, Staff of the Angels, and Demonic Pitchfork to Y Link in exchange for an Angelic Sash for Konami Shojou. Halo fund went down but warm fuzzies went up. ^0^ The quest is temporarily an AFK-OMG-Halo combination quest.

10/27/05: OMG Hat regained! Athena War Goddess and I were offering on an OMG Hat that [ j e s s] was selling for a friend. I decided to back out so that Athena could have best shot at it and [ j e s s] thought that was so "cute" of me that she later asked her friend to give me first shot at the OMG Hat that he was selling for her. <3 The quest is now just an AFK & Halo combination quest. ^^

11/30/05: AFK Hat regained! The quest is now back to being just a Halo quest~

01/01/06: Happy New Year! I've been a Moderator for almost a month now and I can say with reasonable certainty that I will never finish this quest now. *laugh* Free Time Fairy! Why have you deserted me?

07/01/06: Upgraded the Angelic Sash to a Devil Tail, but now I'm down an AFK again. *hee* The quest is once again an AFK & Halo joint quest. I've got three extra June 2004s in the kitty so I'm hopeful that I'll be able to buy one fairly soon.

08/04/06: Back to "just" a Halo quest again. ^^ *pets her AFK Hat*

10/08/06: This quest is being halted as of today. My gold gain has dropped like a rock due to being too busy for edits and artwork any longer so I feel ridiculous keeping this quest open. ^^; If I become freed up enough to draw commissions again I will re-open the quest, but for now, the donut dream is over~

08/26/07: The quest has been taken out of stasis. My gold gain hasn't improved much, but just having a quest is rather fun. *hee* I've managed to rebuild my letter collection after having given some sizable donations and run an art contest as an engagement gift for two friends, and I feel I'd like to start questing again. ^^

07/19/08: After a lot (years) of deliberation I've finally beaten down my inner collection whore and consolidated some of my letter sets into 2003 MCs. *pets new Devil Tail and Angelic Sash*

09/20/09: Bought back the Horns of the Demon I sent away to BridgeChan. One more to go!

09/27/09: Bought back another pair of Horns of the Demon, which takes the place of the Thank You letter I sent away to BridgeChan. My art auction is going well, so I should be able to buy more letters to replace some of those that I sold to get the Horns soon, too. ^^ [edit] Second Horns of the Demon purchased! Yay art auctions!

Current Fund: The piles below are currently being consolidated into gold/older letters on various mules, so the list may not accurately reflect my inventory. Last updated 10/19/09.

I have at least one each of every Monthly Collectible starting with September of 2003 beyond the items listed above (those are all "extras"), but the above-listed are the only ones I will let go of while questing in order to upgrade the fund. Come time to actually get an Angelic Halo, however, I will probably be more amenable to letting some of that collection go since I haven't equipped some of those items since I first bought them. *laugh*
