I'm surprised I managed to smile much during it. Looking back I can't imagine what was going through my mind when I decided to have a child. Ugh, pregnancy is not fun. Though I'm told mine was fairly easy.

Slept through the night. I must've been blessed. I remember being afraid he'd be the sort that woke me at two in the morning demanding a diaper change.

He only wandered off once, and even then he came back on his own, much to my relief.

David and Sayuri's girl, Rhiannon, seemed to take quite an interest to him around the time this picture was taken. Cyrus was not amused.

Full name: Cyrus Joesph Taltian

Race: Fox/Human Shapeshifter

Special Qualities: Cyrus can manipulate water into various shapes, but only small amounts. Anything greater than a gallon or so and he'll lose control of it. He's also got low-level empathy. He can communicate with naturally empathic beings when they're making attempts to speak with him, but he wouldn't be able to listen in on other empathic conversations very easily. He's also capable of shapeshifting - exactly how well isn't known since he hasn't had much practice at all yet, though it is known that he can take on a fox form.

Personality: Cyrus, for the most part, is a docile sort of person. The most aggression he's shown in his entire life is a single growl when he was under a great deal of stress. He goes to great lengths to avoid fights usually. In fact, his reaction to strong tension between his mother and himself was to run away rather than face her in a confrontation.
He often claims to find girls nothing but trouble and will swear never to deal with them - even moreso given his current situation now. Even so, he somehow finds himself surrounded by them much of the time. Whether that's because he actually is fond of them, or if it's just because of a lack of other males around doesn't matter. He doesn't make any active attempts to escape them, and is actually good friends with a number of them.
He is quite friendly despite being a quiet sort of person. If there's someone around, he's more likely to be up and talking to them instead of sitting around by himself. Unless he's playing one of his videogames, of course. Thanks to Angie he's developed quite an addiction to them. It usually takes someone he's already friends with to tear his attention away from one of them.
Cyrus also has a strong sense of loyalty to his friends. He once took off after a werewolf hunter who'd targeted Rhiannon even though he knew he probably stood about as much chance against the hunter as a wet napkin. He'll do his best to be there if someone needs him - or even needs someone better than him. Either way, you can rely on him.

First and foremost, is Jacky. Her full name is Jaclyn Chrissa Flame, and she acts as an older sister to Cyrus currently. She's more than happy to help him out when he asks for it, and always seems to have her own ideas on how he should be brought up. Though, she seems to have backed off a bit now that he's a teenager. One of her favorite passtimes is irritating Jiora, not that it takes much effort to do that. She's recently moved into her own place and, at the moment, is allowing Cyrus to stay with her.

Aana

Aana is a fandangle - a sentient machine of sorts created by Moorgahaine. She's quite energetic and is very thoroughly devoted to Cyrus. It's rather rare to see one without the other for very long. She's got a bit of a problem with her attention span though - can't hold a thought in her head more than a few minutes at most usually. This can be either infuriating or convenient, depending on the current situation.

Amaya's a young Porcelain who was found by Jiora during one of her outtings. Though incapable of written and spoken speech, she can communicate through a sort of empathy - the transmission of raw thoughts and emotions. Like Aana, she's quite devoted to Cyrus - the two developed a sibling-like bond when Cyrus was younger, and she now views him as an older brother. She tends to tag along behind him when possible, and seems to hold an interest in anything he does.

Obi, another fandangle, is bonded to Amaya. Naturally, his loyalties lie with her rather than Cyrus. In fact, he much prefers to avoid other people and fandangles entirely. He enjoys solitude more than anything save for Amaya, though he may make an occasional exception for Cyrus seeing as his bonded is so attached to the boy. He too speaks viz empathy, though he can also speak English and often acts as a translator for Amaya.

Not much is known about the newest member of the bunch. Zita arrived through some rather mysterious means one evening and for some reason was labeled with Cyrus's name. Like most babies, she's dependent on those around her to care for her, and this task most often falls to Cyrus. She seems to give off a vaguely eerie vibe to most people though - only Amaya and Cyrus really feel at ease around her.

Bronnie

Cyrus considers Bronwen here to be one of his best friends, even if he doesn't see her as often as the others. When they were younger, she was the only one aside from Angie that he seemed to consider cootie-free. This seemed to spark a rivalry between her and Rhiannon - more on Rhi's end than anything, but it seems to have died down now, thankfully.

Angie

Angie was one of Cyrus's first friends. She's a bit of an odd girl - very odd views on life, really. Even so, she seems to be a good deal more mature than him and does give good advice on occasion. Unfortunately, she can also give completely random and off-the-wall advice too, and, being rather gullible and trusting of his friends, Cyrus will believe her quite readily.

Rhi

Another close friend of Cyrus's; Rhiannon has taken quite a shining to the boy. She even gave him his first real kiss. She also gave him his first kiss from anyone other than his mother, but he declared she had cooties at the time, so I'm not sure I count that one. It's a shame Cyrus doesn't seem to harbor any feelings for her beyond that of a close friend.

Tinny

Tinania falls somewhere between friend and little sister as far as Cy's concerned. The two of them met during a rather unpleasant event in Moorgahaine's shop when she was a child, and Cyrus ended up doing his best to shelter her. He's developed a protective nature towards her, much like the way he feels about Amaya.

Luna

Luna's not so much a friend as she is an adoreable little girl Cyrus babysat once. She's really very friendly - then again, it's rather difficult to find a toddler who isn't. Cyrus is plenty fond of the girl and enjoys seeing her around. Though, he does prefer to avoid her guardian, Jokeph, for a variety of reasons.
