You have been walking this beach for too long...hours, perhaps. It is a narrow and vacant stretch of sand, for the grass cuts quite close to it, and the tide is seldom low. The air smells of salt and coconuts, and the sky is a remarkable blue.
Afternoon falls, and you have finally reached this place...this house. It is a moderately-sized building, located at the foot of an outlandish rock waterfall, which is carved into the likeness of a sea serpent's head. The house itself is traditional in design, though you can hardly figure out what civilization built it. Angry wooden carvings of spirits and island gods, many sporting jewels for eyes, remind you of Polynesian culture, yet the building's sliding paper doors and red lanterns give it an asian feel as well. You have traveled the village for hours searching for this place, for it is at the edge of town and not very noticeable.

This building, as you know well, is the adoption headquarters of Amazon Island, better known as the Amazon HQ. It was built delicately upon the edge of one of the many rainforest groves of Taratoa, island of the Amazons. The village that surrounds you is now dwarfed in your view; this house was further away from the town than you had expected.
The door seems open, a friendly gesture, though surprising for a building of such seeming importance to the villa. Then again, this is an odd town, with an unusual history and unusual customs.
Once indoors, you are surprised to find that the HQ is comprised almost completely of singly one room, with a few little hallways and such off to the far side. The furnishings are somewhat contemporary, but the large amount of stone carvings and wood engravings remind you that you are still among the Amazons, and not back on the mainland.
You are not alone, either. There are large groups of people, almost all of them female, inhabiting the commonroom. Some turn to look, but many ignore you.
You walk a few steps, only to be surprisingly greeted by a strange girl with only one eye. The other one, if it even exists, is hidden behind a patch. "Yarr...far traveler," she speaks with a heavy accent, "My name be Kahu. Jes' Kahu." She clears her throat, "Err...sorry. Ye new?" She looks at you a bit oddly. She has moderately short, matted brown hair hidden under a fedora, and dresses a natural jungle hiker. When she says anything, she seems to have a good heart and good intentions, but an interesting way of showing it.
She leads you on a tour of the room, shows you where the restrooms are, and then leads you down to the very end of a hallway, where there Is a doorway, protected only by a beaded curtain. "The mistress of this business...she be in thar. She's not ver' big on being interrupted. Watch yerself."
You wonder if you should continue to approach...
