On a small, out of the way street in Durem lies a Paranormal bookstore. It?s not the sort of store most people would go into. Actually, it?s the creepy-looking sort of store that most people would avoid at all costs. The glass windows are thoroughly covered with a layer of dust and grime, making it difficult to see the window display. Above the door hangs a heavy wooden sign reading 'Merittium Prosperia', it looks like the sign could fall down at any moment. You?re not quite sure why but you find yourself attracted to the store. You attempt to stare through the window for a moment, but your vision is blocked by the thick layer of dust. You approach the door and carefully push it, expecting a loud creaking sound. To your surprise the door swings open soundlessly. As you enter you can faintly make out an old woman sitting by a table in the back. "Come in, come in!" The old woman says happily, "It's been ages since we had a customer!"

In her younger years, Madame Prosperia was quite the traveler. She toured all of Gaia in search of anything odd or strange. She was particularly fond of Tarot cards and had every deck imaginable. But this simply wasn't enough for her, she needed more! In her searches she obtained the name of a rather shady fortune teller, it was said the fortune tellers predictions were always accurate and often deadly. She used an odd deck of Tarot cards to predict these fortunes. Madame Prosperia sought out and eventually tracked down this fortune teller. On a cold November they met in a dark alley. Madame begged and pleaded the fortune teller to sell her the special Tarot cards but to no avail. "This Tarot deck is mine," The fortune teller states. She holds out her hand, "But this one is yours." Madame Prosperia takes the deck from the fortune tellers hands and picks up the first card. Her face falls, "But these cards are blank," She says hopelessly. The fortune teller says nothing, simply turning and walking away. "wait, where are you going?"
Once again the fortune teller doesn?t answer. Her figure gets fainter and fainter until she disappears completely. Right before she disappears the wind blows her shawl off, and Madame Prosperia gets a quick glimpse of fur and a tail.

She returns home rather confused. When she?s sitting in her den, she suddenly remembers the blank cards. She pulls the deck out and stares at it suspiciously. "Something's odd about these cards, I should probably get rid of them." Try as she might, she simply can't bring herself to throw them away. To make sure they couldn?t harm anything she locks them in an old oak box and forgets about them for several decades. A few years ago she found the box again, covered in dust. She opens it up, and the card on top is no longer blank. She could've sworn all of the cards were blank! Her memory must be going in her old age. She nearly has a heart attack as a voice sounds in her mind- The card was SPEAKING TO HER! She learned about this card, named it and raised it. It told her a story, which I will cover later. There had to be a way to help the other cards. In order to distribute them she opened up a paranormal bookstore. She's offered the cards to many but few had accepted.

Now then, the story the card told Madame P.: Well, it isn't actually a story, more like an explanation as to why the cards can speak; The cards are possesed. They house the souls of creatures from another realm whom are ruled over by another creature, an evil one. In our world they are represented by cards that predict the future, each card matches a trait of the creature who posseses it. The evil creature doesn't have a card found in a conventional Tarot deck. It was too dangerous, and removed. When drawn this card means utter chaos and destruction for all it comes in contact with. With the help of a being from this world the other creatures souls can leave thier cards and manifest here in the real world, safe from the evil creature. With enough help(lotsa Rping) They can become unbound from their card alltogether and manifest as thier true form(anthro).

So go ahead, get a card reading. You never know what you'll find.

Cards of the Minor Arcana will be sold in flatsales. I will post an RP prompt, the second I've posted it the flatsale will be open.

Cards of the Major Arcana will be auctioned or occasionally raffled off. I'll post links to the respective auctions and raffles on the first post.

<center>Customs</center>

Customs cost 10,000 gold I know, I know, it's a really high price, right? Well, customs are very difficult to do for this sort of pet. I base the appearance of each Card on the effects it represents in a reading. You can choose the card, species*, gender, general appearance, and of course name. I'm really sorry, but if a card of the type you want already exists then you simply can't have it. I don't care how much you want a cat 7 of wands, if someone already owns one you'll have to choose something else.

*You have to choose out of the already available species. If you want something not listed you can ask for it, but please give me a backup of one of the listed species if I can't draw it.

<center>Pet Trades</center>

This is sort of difficult. The shop is co-owned by Kako_Kawaii(who is the one typing all of this btw) and kyedin. Kako is the one who does all of the coloring, drawing, certing, banner making, and general updating and Kyedin does everything else. For now pet trades will have to be worked out with Kako_Kawaii. Please PM this account if you're interested.

I try to keep it equal; A premade for a premade and a custom for a custom. The card you recieve in a pet trade will not be RP required unless the pet we recieve is or you want it to be. Kako_Kawaii will not accept most pixel pets, sorry.

The Tarot cards are RP REQUIRED pets. You won't loose your tarot card if you don't RP, it simply won't grow. If your Tarot card is at the final stage and you don't RP it for more than 1 month, however, you will loose your pet. It will be reauctioned.

Roleplaying in the thread is open to everyone. Indeed, it is required to be able to buy a Tarot card. All In-thread rping will be set in or outside the shop. Please keep all RP literate, and if you're going to chat post in Double parenthesis or 'OOC'

Okay, its a little late, but here's the general explanation of the Tarot cards and their stages:

They are based off of a normal deck of Tarot cards, There's the 22 cards of the major arcana and however many cards of the Minor arcana. There are a few different species that the cards can turn into, the main ones being feline, canine, and Avian(usually bird). Each pet is unique, but there can be more than one of a card. For instance, there can be a Fool of Cats and a Fool of Dragons, but there can't be two fools of cats. This may change later on once breeding is open.

Stage 1: Graphic- A simple graphic on a Tarot card. Crudely drawn and sometimes creepy looking. The graphic is able to move slightly and talk to you telepathicly.

Stage 2: Baby- A soft, cuddly(sometimes scaly), baby. It could be a puppy, a kitten, a baby bird, or other things; depending on the species. It is extremely curious at this stage, and usually energetic. He/she can only speak in broken english, but can still talk to you telepathically perfectly.

Stage 3: Adolesent- Your little baby's growing up! At this stage You card can be a little moody, but at least they can speak proper english!

Stage 4- Adult- He/She's all grown up! *tear* At this stage your Card can breed, talk, get a job, whatever you want. Unfortunately, your pets soul is still bound to the card.

Stage 5- Anthro- No current info available
