"Mummy?" came a pleading voice from what appeared to be a small girl, who was tugging persistently on what one would assume to be her guardian's arm. The woman stopped making breakfast and turned her head to gaze into the limpid blue eyes of her adopted daughter. The now living gryphon, Guu-go, perched himself on Sally's shoulder and twitched his head curiously.

"What now, darling?" Spores asked softly, red hair glimmering in the light. The apron covering her body was a rather dashing black, decorated with the outlines of pink hearts. She wore a simple dress underneath, made of black silk. Pink fluffy slippers covered her feet as she set the cooker to a cooler temperature.

"Can I go outside and practise my magic?" Sally asked, watching her mother with interest, wondering if she would give in today. But Spores' face gave no signs of backing down as she gently shook her head.

"I've told you the rules on magic, Sally, and you're to only practise charms with adult supervision; namely, me. I don't want any spells to backfire, or for any innocent passers-by to be caught in the crossfire when you decide that you want to cast a spell."
Spores stroked Sally's hair, before taking a spatula and using it to transfer the bacon from the frying pan to the previously empty plate. Finishing the final couple of preparations for Sally's breakfast -- taking the sausages from the grill, quickly cooking the beans, making toast and whatnot, -- Spores prepared a glass of orange juice and set them at the table.

"Grub's up, love."
"But why can't I practise magic outside? You don't want any crockery broken, do you?"
"No, but I trust you. And somehow, I don't think you're quite qualified enough to have the powers to break things."
"What if Guu-go can't control himself?"
"Sally, just stop arguing with me and eat your breakfast, please."
"But mommy, what if Guu-go breaks something precious and I get the blame for it even though it wasn't my fault?"
"Guu-go was brought to life by you. Therefore it would have been partly your fault anyway. But don't worry about it."
"But mom.."
"Sally.. Eat your breakfast, please."

Feeling somewhat defeated, Sally sat at the table and began to eat her breakfast. It seemed as though this battle would have to continue after breakfast, or when Sally had a better case to argue.</center>
CHILD --- TEEN QUEST!

*Note:* This quest MUST be completed in order for your child to grow into a teen! This will also determine her alignment - good or evil?
Read the prompt, and respond to it in at least three good-sized diary entries. You may take as little or as long of a time as you would like, and more than three entries is certainly exceptable. It is, in fact, encouraged!
Upon completing the quest, it is also not a guarantee that Sally will grow right away. She will grow when she is ready, regardless of the quest. You do, however, need to complete for her to grow in time.
It does not have to be done right away either. If there are current plots, feel free to complete them, then move on to the quest.

Quest prompt

You and Sally have gone for a hike in the hills. While strolling along, there is a loud thundering sound, and then a scream.
You race down the mountainside, to find that a large boulder has fallen from the rock face and crushed a boy's leg.
Terrified, you look around to the people standing nearby. Neither one of them, nor you, are strong enough to lift the boulder. Emergency help will not reach you for another ten minutes, in which the boy might lose his leg.
Sally does, however, have the ability to levitate. She can save him.
Does she obey your cry for help and lift the boulder?
Does she refuse and walk away?
Document the time from when you leave the house to her decision and the effects that it has made. How does Sally act the next day?

Good or Evil? [Part One]
</center>

Spores smiled at her child as the little witch, Sally, wolfed down today's breakfast with no arguments whatsoever. Guu-go hovered around the woman's head as she dove in to collect Sally's empty plate, and wash it up.
The girl seemed to have recovered from yesterday's little argument, and had decided that doing her magic under supervision was a wise idea. Summoning Guu-go to her side, she hopped off of the chair and wandered towards the living room, where she flipped the TV on and began watching a brightly-coloured, lively kid's programme while her mother continued going about the motherly things.

"Sally?" Spores called, wiping her hands on a dry cloth and walking into the living room. Sally barely turned her head, eyes transfixed on the screen.
"Mm?" she murmured, as Spores grabbed the remote and turned off the TV. Disgruntled, Sally pouted and turned her head to face her smiling mother.
"We're not staying in all day, today. I'm taking you for a walk; a walk which will become a regular thing. Is that okay with you?"
Sally nodded, knowing she had no choice in the matter.
"Good girl. Now, go and get your shoes on, and brush your hair, and we'll set off."
Sally nodded once more, disappearing up the stairs and into her room, where she tamed her light brown hair with a brush, before tugging her hat on top of it. Slipping her shoes on and kissing Guu-go's beak, she was soon downstairs again.

Spores took Sally's hand, slipping on her own shoes and taking her backpack before walking out of the door, quickly locking it. Then, she began walking with Sally, through her favourite park as the birds twittered, underscoring the babbling brook.

"I love this place, Mummy.." Sally began, her voice sounding awestruck and blissful. Her guardian nodded, knowing how much she loved the place.
"We're not stopping here today, though.." Spores said.
"Why not, mum?"
"We're going for a hike in the hills."
"We're doing what?"
"Going hiking, love. I thought it'd do you some good to go for a refreshingly long walk, to stretch your legs, maybe practise your magic and what-not. Also, just sitting in front of the TV isn't doing your shape any good, love.."
"So I can do magic on the hills?"
"As long as it's nothing too extreme, I don't see why not.."
"AWESOME!"
