Updated*22/08 - ELOTG will hopefully be re-opened soon. However, unforseen events have pushed back its re-opening. My family has been having a lot of personal issues, and my computer is fighting with me every step I take. Plus, school is starting again and it's my graduation year. So, I beg of you, please be patient! I am trying, I swear. I have a lot of things to do, and a lot of people to make happy. Plans for my shop are still in progess; like my charity, its opening was pushed back. I still require my shop to be opened before my charity because, as I said before, I cannot run my charity by myself. I am going through gold too fast on my own. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration.

Welcome, guys, to the re-vamped ELOTG. I have decided to offer a choice of three, count 'em, three different services. You can find more about them below. However, I insist that you read all of the rules and all of the F.A.Q. before choosing which one you want to apply for. It doesn't take very long and will most likely put you in my favor.

Anyone who applied before ELOTG was temporarily closed who did not receive a donation will not be getting one. Please re-apply.

Rules

arrow The Gaia TOS applies here. No swearing, nothing above PG-13, no flaming. Politeness counts.
arrow No begging.
arrow Please do not PM me or try to add me to your Friendslist.
arrow No n00bs. In correlation with this rule, no 1337 speech.
arrow Do not stretch the page by quoting things over and over.
arrow You must be a member of Gaia for three months and have a minimum of 300 posts to receive a donation.
arrow A quest thread is required for a donation of any kind. Said quest thread must be active, organized and at least five pages long.
arrow If a "thank-you" is not present in the return trade donation subject, I will cancel it.
arrow One donation only to each person. This means you must choose which application you want to enter. You can only receive either gold, a banner or bumps, not all three or even two of them.
arrow You must wait a period of seven days before re-applying if your application is rejected.
arrow If you do not accept the trade within a period of three days after it is originally sent, it will be canceled.
arrow At the bottom of your application, please add the words "Sailor Moon" so that I know you read the rules.
arrow Banners and bumps will take longer to fulfill than gold donations.

exclaim You probably will not receive the amount of bumps that you asked for. That was an estimate. Average amount will be around 25.

exclaim Banner Donatees only have a certain amount of days to upload the banner onto their image hosting site of choice, be it photobucket/image shack/whatever. Do not complain to me if I take it out of my photobucket before you have it uploaded to yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why didn't I receive a donation?
A: Re-read the rules carefully to see something that you may have missed. If you have followed them, check the charity bank. If it is full, I probably just haven't gotten to you yet. If you applied for banner/bumps, then there might be someone ahead of you on the waiting list.

Q: I am questing for _______. I see that you have it. Can I have yours?
A: No.

Q: Why not? Aren't you a charity?
A: Yes, but my items are mine and I don't give them up freely, even for charity.

Q: Can I make a banner for this charity?
A: Definitely! We are happy to accept any and all banners.

Q: Why are the donations so small? _______ charity gave me ___gold!
A: ELOTG is run by one person. Namely, me. I don't have that kind of gold to be giving thousands to everyone. I prefer giving a small donation to everyone rather than giving big ones to a select few.

Q: How can I be sure you aren't spending the donators gold on yourself?
A: Like any charity, you technically can't. I just have to ask you to trust me.

Q: I am a newb. I want a donation. Can I get one?
A: No. At the present time, ELOTG is strictly for questers.

Q: Did you make the banners yourself?
A: I did indeed! That's why they aren't great... but hey, I try.

Q: Why are you offering two additional services?
A: Because they are also things that questers require and I aim to please!

Q: I have a question. What do I do?
A: Ask, silly!

Tips on Earning Gold

Please note: Every 24 hours, it's like a new "day" on your account. So, your posts/polls/art critiquing are worth less as each "day" progresses. Once a new "day" for your account begins, then the cycle begins again. You get more gold for your first ten posts/polls/art critiquing then you would for, say, your twentieth.

arrow One word. Polls. Polls of any kind are incredible for earning free gold. The chatterbox is especially famous for random polls. Other places include the Magical Poll Land Guild and Poll Center Guild.

arrow The most obvious one there is, posting. That's what Gaia is all about! Find a topic you can identify with and throw your opinion in! It can be anywhere, but again, if you want randomness the chatterbox is the place you want.
idea Also, please note that all spaming should be placed in the chatterbox. Bumping is fine for places so long as it is allowed. Please read the rules of any place you visit.

arrow Art critiquing. In other words, looking at pieces of art other people have done and rating them. You can also leave comments. It's fun, you get to see the talents of others and you get gold. What's not to love? You can find the Art Arena here.

How NOT To Get Gold

arrow Begging. There is no easier way to turn people off. Gaians like to see other Gaians working for what they want. No one likes giving things away for free to those who don't deserve it. So don't beg. It will only end up pissing people off.
idea Questing is not considered begging so long as your quest thread is a reasonable one. Questing and begging are not the same thing.

arrow Being a noob. A noob is different from a newb. A newb is someone who is new to a place and doesn't yet know the ways. A noob is someone who (might) type with little regard to spelling or grammar, beg, emoticon-rape, use the caps lock far too much, TyPe LiKe ThIs, type in extremely bright colors that make it hard to see, etc... arrow Flaming. If someone won't give you gold, the way to get it is not flipping out. This will only get you a dismissal. Please try to be mature on Gaia.
