Very sorry for not being around lately. All sorts of stuff has happened, which I won't go into here because it is all depressing, but I figured I would let you know that I probably won't be seen for a fair bit longer. I'm sorry to all of my loyal customers, but hopefully I will be able to get back into the swing of things some time in the future that isn't too far off.

Welcome to Cheddar Moon! Did you know that the inside of the moon is actually made of cheese? Well, not totally, but it can certainly be found there. And so can other things, like Moon Mice! Read on and find out everything you need to know about these elusive little creatures!

Deep within the core of the moon live strange and wonderful creatures, known as Moon Mice. They dwell together in colonies, each led by a King and Queen, whose task it is to keep the colony safe and content.

However, of late things have not been so comfortable between the colonies. The Cheese Mines are yielding less and less of their essential product each year, and as ever the population of Moon Mice in increasing. Wars between the colonies have broken out, each trying to gain control of the others' mines in order to save their own people.

The problem seemed insurmountable, until Novaluna, the patron goddess of the Moon Mice, appeared to each pair of rulers in turn and delivered her orders. A percentage of the population from each colony would be given the ability to breathe oxygen, and sent to Earth to live - where the denizens actually knew how to make cheese!

Saddened, but seeing the necessity of it all to prevent their lifestyle degenerating into barbarianism, the Kings and Queens did as they were bid. And now, Moon Mice are here, looking for homes with you!

Can I buy more than one from a Flatsale?
If you are meaning for yourself, yes, if the flatsale is into it's second day. If you are meaning for other people who might not be able to make the sale, you can buy as many as you like in the one post provided that it is only one per person (including yourself).

How big are Moon Mice?
About 20cm/8 inches from nose to the base of the tails. The tails are about 15cm/6 inches long.

Do we have to RP our Moon Mice?
No. In the future, if there is enough demand for it, I might open up a thread for it, with prizes etc for the most inventive entries, but even then RP will not be required. I just ask that you check the thread regularly to see if your Moon Mouse has fully grown, as I will not be sending PMs before deleting them from my server.

Egg Stage - lasts from 3-7 days, depending on how busy I am.
Child Stage - lasts from 7-10 days, depending on how busy I am.
Adult Stage - must be hosted by the owner, as I will delete it from my server after 3-5 days.

1 - Gender - Male or Female
2 - D.O.B. - The date you purchase your Moon Mouse
3 - Type - The type of Moon Mouse (see below)
4 - Colony - Which colony your Moon Mouse came from
5 - Generation - Which generation of Moon Mouse after Earth arrival
6 - Owner - Your Name
7 - The name of your Moon Mouse goes here

Guard - polices the colony itself. Protects the individual against crime on a domestic level. Guard Moon Mice have greater speed and hearing than other types.

Healer - possess healing and curative magics. Often found running Moon Mouse Hospices, and preside over birthing. Also known to travel with the army to spot-heal the Warriors.

Nobility - generally pampered and spoiled, but do have great powers of persuasion and a natural ability to command. Can generally convince anyone of anything, given time.

Scout - employed as spies and information-gatherers, with the ability to become invisible for hours at a time. Have more agility than other Moon Mouse types.

Shaman - can walk the Dreampaths to recieve brief glimpses of the future, and summon the spirit ebergy of long-dead Moon Mice to perform various tasks.

Warrior - a member of the army, protecting groups of Moon Mice against invasion from other colonies. Have greater strength and endurance than other Moon Mouse Types.

Worker - has one or more useful skills, such as mining, basket weaving, painting, writing etc. There are more workers in a colony than any other type, and are the backbone of the society.

So far, only three colonies are known of. These are:

Moonshadow - the oldest of the colonies, and the largest. Due to the number of them, the Moonshadoe Moon Mice have found their cheese mines to be the most depleted, and have therefore begun more raids than the others.

Stardust - straight down the middle in age and size of the colony. Has a greater percentage of Shaman Type Moon Mice than the other colonies, and less Warriors. As such, they are more protected but weaker in attack, and so live in a permanent stalemate.

Craterlight - the smallest and youngest of the colonies. Mostly made up of young hotheads, and far too many Warriors within it for any type of stability. Their mines are not that well guarded, but the ferocity of any reprisal attacks acts as a deterrent to the other colonies.

Breeding your Moon Mice is fairly simple. However, there are a few provisos that prevent certain Moon Mice from Breeding with others, and these are outlined below.

Moon Mice of one colony cannot breed with those of another colony. The rivalry between their peoples within the moon is still strong here on Earth. This means that a Moon Mouse from the Moonshadow Colony can only breed with others from that same colony.

Moon Mice cannot breed with members of their own family. This means that parents cannot breed with previously birthed children, and siblings also cannot breed with one another.

Moon Mice can only breed at the Adult Stage, and only once per month.

Also, those of the Nobility Type are snobs. They will not breed with Worker, Warrior or Guard types!

So, you want to breed. Cool! Here is how it works.

You (and the owner of the other willing parent, if not breeding two of your own Moon Mice) must post in this thread to register your interest in doing so. Check to see if there is a breeding spot open, first!

Once I have seen your post, and added you to the breeding list, you must send me the appropriate amount of gold. (See the Breeding Spots list below for prices.) I will not begin the breeding until the trade has been completely finalised!

Once your new egg/s are ready, I will PM you, and you can tell me what you would like to do with your eggs.

Permissible uses of your eggs are:

Keeping them.
Giving them away to a friend.
Putting them up for auction - but I will be the one to run the auction, and I will take 50% of the profits.

Breeding Slots:

1 Egg Breeding (1500 gold) - CLOSED
2 Egg Breeding (3000 gold) - CLOSED
3 Egg Breeding (4500 gold) - CLOSED

Now the part that I know you have been dying to hear. How to get your very own Moon Mouse! There are three ways to do this, and these are outlined below.

FLATSALE

There is no set regularity to flatsales. I will hold them when and as I feel like it. Most will be advertised a day or so before the sale actually happens, but sometimes I might spring a secret flatsale on you!

Flatsales are first come, first served. You must wait until you see me post in big blue letters that the flatsale has started, otherwise your post will be ignored and you will most likely miss out on your Moon Mouse!

Once you see that I have posted confirming that you have gotten the egg, you will need to choose a name for your Moon Mouse. I will cert them up as soon as possible, so watch the Pickups section for your certed Moon Mouse!

Flatsale Moon Mice cost 2k.

AUCTION

There is no set regularity to auctions, either. I will hold them when and as I feel like it. Most will be advertised a day or so before they actually happen, but be on the lookout for surprise 24 hour auctions of rare Moon Mice!

Auctions will generally run for 3-4 days. I will post the ending time in PST so as not to confuse anyone. They will end as close to on the dot as I can make it, and the last bid before my big blue post signalling the end of the auction will be counted as the winner.

Auctions will have a starting bid of 1k, with a minumum increase of 250 gold and an autobuy of 20k.

Check down the bottom of this post to see if there is a custom slot open before ordering, and please use the order form provided. Once I have received your order - post it here in the thread, please - I will expect you to send me the trade immediately. I will not start work on your order until the trade is finalised.

Adult Stage only customs cost 2k.
For all three stages, it will set you back 4k.

For now, no lineart changes are allowed. If you want to effect a pet trade for a custom, PM me with the link to your shop and I will let you know if I am interested.

These little critters, known as Stahlites, just love hanging around Moon Mice. They are quite adventurous, and have decided to follow the earth-bound Moon Mice to their new destination!

Stahlites cost 150g each.
Note - Stahlites are for adult Moon Mice only.

To get a Stahlite, simply make sure there is a slot open below, then copy and paste the order form. Send the trade immediately, as I will not work on your order until it is finalised.
