His father is a fire demon and his mother is a bird animus. When he was born his mother thought he would be like any other bird animus except for his coloring. He lived quite peacefully in her community until he was a young child. One day he suddenly burst into flames. No matter what they tried, the flames couldn't be extinguished. When they finally burned themselves out all that remained was a pile of ashes- and a newborn baby with red-orange wings and hair.
His mother raised him again, but the event repeated itself. In the end they had no choice but to figure out a way to find a new home for him. They'd heard of the orphanage from a clan of fish animus, so they contacted Amrem, who immediately want to get him. She also had them explain about his problem.
After hearing about it, she crafted a silver ear cuff with a powerful seal on it The seal will lessen a bit once he gains conscious use of his powers, but never more than slightly, as his phoenix-like powers could take hold again without it.
Despite the fact that he has been reborn twice and consequently kicked out of his clan, he seems to be an open, loving, and remarkably well-adjusted child.
