This is the Forest of Fuzen, where the Kurai Yuniko make their home. biggrin .

Description: The Fuzen Forest

Not much is known of the Fuzen Forest, named by the Kurai themselves, perhaps to mock the reputation they'd acquired, through actual deeds or not. The forest is a rugged, difficult place to make one's home. The trees grow thick, their branches gnarled almost beyond recognition. It's also said that, for non-residents to enter the forest after nightfall is to have a deathwish, for it is said that there are all manner of nightmarish beasts that roam freely through it, none more frightening than the Kurai themselves, with their magical abilities, seemingly geared towards violence...

Age: Unspecified.
Personality: Somewhat cold and calculating, he nonetheless watches closely over those he calls his own, and, as the oldest of the kurai yuniko, possesses more power than most-so much, in fact, that no one knows exactly what his abilities entail, in their entirety.
Talents/Powers: Although his are more varied than most, since he's had years to hone his powers, Luc is most comfortable working with fire, although he's quite familiar with the destructive powers of lightning as well. From creating fire to using the heat produced by fire to refine or destroy things, he's had plenty of time to get creative.

Name: Kyi'ei
Type: Kurai
Age: Unspecified, but guessing at around 250.
Personality: Seemingly somewhat naive, he comes across as easygoing, and so surprises those who don't know him well when one've the few beings he cares about is in danger--he's probably as powerful as Luc, except that he has no control over his powers, so, when he feels that he or a close friend is in danger, his powers react on their own, and are as likely to hamper friends as they are foes. He's also prone to unpredictable, dark moods, at which time it's hardly safe to approach him, unless you happen to be Luc, or his bonded. o.O;;
Talents/Powers: Kyi'ei's talents seem to be in the range of reshaping existing, non-living things--although he cannot take away or add to what's already there--he can compress things, or change their shape, but that's about it. Other than that, his abilities can be rather unpredictable when he tries to use them, with his specialties being water related, for the most part.

Stepping over a fallen branch, Lucien lifted one corner of his mouth into a smirk of disdain, sharp eyes constantly scanning his surroundings. "Hurry up, Kyi'ei." he said sharply, waiting for the other yuniko to catch up.

Making a face, Kyi'ei stuck out his tongue behind Luc's back.

"I saw that." Luc said, hiding an inner grin beneath his expressionless visage.

Now it was Kyi'ei's turn to grin. "You were meant to." he said simply, stalking ahead, his tail swishing happily behind him. "What're we doing, anyway?" he asked suddenly, turning back around to stare back at Luc, leaning up against a tree trunk as he did so. "I mean, I realize we decided we'd move in here, but...don't you think we ought to start trying to build shelter or something, rather than just wandering around aimlessly?" he tried, quirking an eyebrow.

"Don't be stupid." Luc said, rolling his eyes. "We need to find the right spot first, so we don't have to tear the shelter down and rebuild it a few days later." he spoke slowly, as if talking to a small child, because he knew it irritated Ky.

Finding a suitable tree, Luc stopped dead, causing Kyi'ei to run into his back. Snerking, he turned around. "Here we are!" he said in an oddly cheerful voice. It was usually a sign that he was going to do something particularly cruel and unusual, that voice. "You can start hollowing it out, since I went to the trouble of finding it!" he said, eyes gleaming.

Sticking out his tongue and rolling his eyes, Kyi'ei placed his hands against the massive tree trunk, gnarled and long since empty of life. Closing his eyes, he muttered something about how Luc should be able to just used a controlled fire spell to hollow it out, and his hands began to glow. A loud crackling noise was heard from within the tree, and as it intensified, the glow around his hands flared, and with one last crackle, the power faded, and Kyi'ei opened his eyes. "I compressed the core outwards, so the outer layer of the tree that remains is going to be far stronger than ordinary...." he said, quirking an eyebrow at Luc. "I also used my...talents to make a smallish platform up in the branches--so we can make use of that as a beginning for a more permanent structure."

Ishtar had come to the forest out of curiosity more than anything else. The twisting trees were reminiscent of magic-imbued wizard staffs and the sunlight could never quite make its way through the green and brown canopy. It was a quiet place, but with a sharper edge that spoke of barely contained violence and blood already spilled. The feeling did not irk her, but it did make her more aware of her surroundings and the undeniable fact that she was alone in a place where the nightmares she had borne long ago stirred.

(Wasn't certain if I could roleplay here or not, I hope it's okay. whee I also am a little fuzzy on the whole creation goddess aspect. Did she create a certain race of the Yuniko?)
