I came to the conclusion that the first post didn't look right, and so have re-done it. All of the old information is here, so don't fret.
I am a roleplayer at heart, and have always wished that Gaia's events were more roleplay based. I created a thread in the old Questions and Feedback forum suggesting that the admins write more detailed posts, including descriptions of surroundings and a small bit of information about the thought processes of individual NPCs.
However, VO made an appearance and said it was unlikely, suggesting instead that we write the previous storyline up in more detail, for those new users who missed the events themselves.

Dear Seth,
The reason we do not present storylines in the manner you're suggesting is because the medium we are working in is based on a forum-driven, realtime, internet based site.
As such, NPC's on our site are treated like any other user on our site. The dialogue between Gambino and the Von Helsons are much like the dialogue you and I are having right now. Of course, NPCs benefit from the fact that they are able to emote more than a regular user(changes in graphics, own threads, etc).
While I respect what you are trying to do, it's unlikely that we will change that for forum-based events.
At the same time, there are instances where we may expand more upon the storyline in NPC journals(see Gambino's journal for example, LabTechs, etc). It really depends on what the event happening is.
As for the other literary buffs on our site, I wouldn't be the only to say that we'd love to see some kind of storyline writeup using dialogue and events from past events through today's events.
A lot of people missed out on stuff like the Halloween G-Corp storyline and the Olympics race, etc. It would be very cool to see some different takes on the same events with extra details added. I think many users would appreciate it.
If you guys have time, feel free to write something up. The more accurate to the actual events, the better. Who knows? Maybe we'll dedicate a part of our site to showcase your talents as it would definitely be useful to get other less-familiar users up to date with the current storylines.
Hope that clears things up.
Take care and best wishes! 3nodding

Gelmax was with me at the time, and so we have taken it upon ourselves to manage this huge task. Of course we cannot expect to do it alone, and have already recruited several other literate Gaians to aid us in our quest. Anyone is welcome to join; all we ask is that you have some previous experience.

What is this thread for? Well, we'll be using it to keep track of which events are being covered by which writers, and also using it to store all of the posts as they are written. This way we'll all be able to criticize one another, as well as ensuring that none of our posts are contradictory. It is also a place for us all to congregate when discussing the task.
The next few posts detail who is helping us, what events they are covering, the recommended style of posting, and links to resources that will be useful when it comes to researching the events themselves.

If this is in the wrong forum, I'm sorry, and a moderator may feel free to move it. We were unsure where to put it, and this seemed like the best place.

Please note that our roleplay adaptation of the Gaian storyline is based on events that have taken place here. For this reason, some of the dialogue may be very similar, or in some cases identical, to those that were written by Gaia Staff to ensure we stay as accurate as possible. All NPCs mentioned in this thread are under the ownership of Gaia.
A lot of hard work has gone into each and every one of our roleplay posts; please do not try to pass them off as your own.
