Recovered items

Not exactly an item, but the day after I took Yuriko into my house, an owl tried to get in through the window. Yuri seemed to know the bird, and he's extremely well behaived, so I let her keep him.

Along with a crystal ball, she had three books: Spells I & II, and Beasts. Later, I bought her an entire set of basic books, as well as a new notebook, and she seems to be enjoying them quite a lot.

Her wand! It's holly, a lovely thing, and according to what I know, she should have an item of blessing, but I don't know what it is...

Our meeting

I found Yuri in the woods, looking thoroughly confused. When I asked her who she was, where she came from, she looked at me, and shook her head mournfully. "I don't know," she wispered. I managed to read her name off a bookplate on one of her books before she snached it away from me. Yuriko. She was filthy, and she looked like she hadn't had a good meal in days. I took her into my house, gave her some food, and tried to work out who she was. I guessed by her apearance that she was a student of magic, and, by sneeking a peek at her books (Blank spines, how odd) I found out how to contact someone who was in charge, more or less, of the students. I found out that her name was indeed Yuriko, and that I could offically become her guardian.

After all the paperwork had been filled out, Yuri offically moved into a spare room in my house. We have started trying to restore her memory, or, if that's not possible, replace it, and I'm not going to let her try any spells untill she's at least sure of who she is.

Old journal

Yuriko had a journal of her past life with her when I found her, but she hid it somewhere, and refuses to read it or let me see it. I have yet to find it, but I should be able to search it out.

Yuriko came padding down the stairs, wearing bedroom slippers and a nightgown. She looked distressed.

"Yuri? What's the matter?"

"I- I don't know." Those three words had come to haunt me in the past few days. "Well, try to think. Did you have a nightmare?"

She shook her head. "I woke up- and I really felt I had to do something. But I don't know what!"

"It's ok, it's ok..." I held the quivering Yuri close. Things like this kept happening. But they weren't all bad, normally they were followed by some slip of information, a shard memory.

A few minutes later she shouted, "I don't KNOW! I'm gonna go back to bed." She left, and I watched her go, disapointed. No clues tonight.
