(The Surprise Nears)
As Yayoi walked, her red pigtails bobbed up and down with each step. She looked down at Siren out of the corner of her red eye and smiled gently. Running her hand along her back she stopped for a moment.
Siren looked up at her and tilted her head to the side.
"What is it?"
Yayoi shook her head.
"It's nothing, just wondering how excited you are about the surprise is all"
Siren nickered softly and looked around.
"I'm very excited. I like surprises and the ones you always give me are always the best"
She kicked up her hind legs and ran in circles around Yayoi, her tail trailing behind her as her small hooves beat into the ground kicking up dirt.
Yayoi smiled and watched her run in circles for a moment before heading towards the house again.
Sire stopped and started to follow her, praceing around and canting her head, excited about the surprise. Her tail flicking back and forth impatiently.
Yayoi stopped at the front door of the house, then turned around slowly to look at Siren. She reached out and pet Siren's muzzle softly.
"You go into your little place and I will bring the surprise to you. I'm sure you'll like it"
She smiled then walked into the house.
Siren nodded and pranced over towards her little half covered house thing and layed down in the soft hay that was strewn about. Laying her head in the head she rolled over onto her side and closed her eyes. What could this surprise be, she asked herself in her mind.
A few minutes later, Yayoi returned with a whicker basket on her arm. She sat down next to Siren and pat her stomach.
She sat up immediatly and looked at the basket. She tilted her head to the side and nudged it with her nose.
"I'm sure you'll like this surprise. It's very tasty"
Siren grinned, obviously it was some sort of special treat that she had made. Her body quivered with excitement as she continued to lay there.
Yayoi pulled the hankerchief that was covering the basket and pulled out an apple. Though, it wasn't any ordinary apple, it had carmel on it.
Siren's eyes lit up. Only on rare occassions would Yayoi give her carmel apples. She said if she ate to many she'd get a tummy ache.
"They didn't take me long to make these. But they are very good"
She pulled the hankerchief over and layed one down on it for Siren. She pulled out one for herself and moved back to lean against a wall. Takeing a bite she smiled and closed her eyes letting the sweet taste fill her mouth.
Siren picked up the carmel apple in her mouth and took a bite, her tail flicked back and forth happily. Takeing more bites until all was left was the core, she rolled onto her side and moved her legs like she was running.
"That was good. Thank you for makeing them for me. They really were delicious"
She rolled back onto her stomach and layed her head down in the hay.
Yayoi picked up the eaten apples and put them back in the basket. Leaning back into the wall she sighed and looked around.
Siren lifted her head and looked at her.
"Was that the only surprise?"
Yayoi shook her head.
"No that was just a treat for you. Since you've been a good girl. The real surprise will come sometime soon. You will just have to wait for it."
Siren nodded and moved over towards Yayoi, putting her head in her lap and closeing her eyes.
She smiled and started to pet Siren's head gently. Smoothing down her mane and ears, only to have the ears perk up again.
