Height: Six feet, Seven inches
Eye Color: Grey/Hazel

He is quick to trust, and assumes everyone is a wonderful person, without flaw, most-often even after proven otherwise. Given the chance, he would make everyone and everything happy, but since he does not have such a chance, he does the best he can to make everyone and everything as happy as possible. Although he is usually smiling, Tori's eyes are kind, but sad. His long hair has been with him since he can remember, and he absent-mindedly plays with it when agitated or unhappy in some way.

-Torikonero (Bio Mentioned Above): Keeper of Vei'Kove.

((Picture Pending))
-Syrie: Hugely nice person, giver of many gifts to Vei'kove. Sy is one of the nicest people Tori knows, and that will never, ever change. He is always welcome in the cabin, and will hopefully show up to light up everyone's lives, when he has time. While he has not met Vei directly, yet, he knows almost as much about him as Tori does, and has a deep caring for the little Tsubasa-egg.

User Image

-Joukirin: One of Tori's oldest and most trusted pets. Joukirin is an Anio, a dog-like creature, and is very gentle with both humans and animals, so Tori lets him roam around the cabin with no fear of harm. Although he is very mellow most of the time, he knows how to make children happy, and he can apply just the right amount of excitement and motion to get the job done, while making sure not to hurt anyone.

User Image

-Zaidon: Another one of Tori's first pets, Zaidon is a Tari, a horse-like creature, and therefore a favorite with most of Tori's child-like friends/companions. Having a nose that feels like soft velvet all the time helps with Zaidon's overall appeal, and can keep people occupied for quite a while.

[More to be added, as they meet Vei'Kove]

~:~Possessions~:~

User Image

-Octopus Plushie: Sy gave this gift to Vei'Kove, with promises that it was just the start of his spoiling.

User Image

-Green ScrapBunny: A gift from TMSS, I am sure this plush will occupy a very important place in Vei'Kove's life.

User Image

-Warm Blanket: A very thoughtful gift to all Tsubasa owners, this blanket helps Vei'Kove to keep warm, no matter where he is.

User Image

-Paint Set: A beautiful set of paints given to Vei by Syrie. You see why I tell everyone he's the nicest person around? ^^ Vei loves to express himself, even as an egg, so I am sure the paints will provide him with non-stop fun, for quite a while.

~:~The Cabin~:~

In the middle of a dense forest lies a small, wooden cabin; the cabin itself looks like it had been there forever, surrounded by the only part of the forest without a sever sense of forboding, a small glade. The building has a few holes-for-windows decorating the outside walls, carved in such a way to suggest that this cabin was lovingly made, by someone with a lot of time on their hands. A large door swings open easily, as if it is more used to being open than closed, to reveal a small room almost completely covered with blankets and pillows. This is the main room, where people come to visit, and older pets rest themselves most of the time. In a covered door to the left lies a dark room, also full of pillows; this is the hatching room, where all eggs, cubs, babies, and various other young things sleep until they reach childhood. Here rests Vei'Kove, his wings folded neatly over his oval-shaped egg-body. The room is separated from the rest of the cabin with only a blanket over the door frame, so any hatchlings, or restless young ones, may come and go whenever they choose. Other rooms in the house are mostly closed off to the public, being private rooms for some of Tori's older pets. The office/bedroom area contains many journals for different pets and experiences in Tori's life, as well as his computer, the only piece of technology in his entire house. The bed is small, but looks well slept-in, and has plenty of room for cold pets, or sared children, should there be a need. The kitchen is small and cozy, containing many jars of foods made especially for Tori's pets, as well as baskets and boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables, cans of soup and broth, and cooking utensils. Off in a corner lies an ice-box, containing the small amount of meat Tori needs for a few of his pets. Overall, the house is a warm, cozy place, open to anyone and everything that would happen to need any help or guidance, or just a place to stay for the night.

Just a brief description; if you want to know more, visit other journals, or wait until people come to visit Vei and Tori in this one...

A gentle wind slid through the forest, barely disturbing the newly-budding leaves clinging to their mother tress. The start of spring brought new life to all places, and this forest was no exception; offspring of the hibernating rabbits lept out of their burrows, sniffing the cool air for the first time, while baby birds kept up their relentless calls, seeming to ask the whole world to pay attention to them. The forest was left undisturbed save for a small clearing that contained a cabin that looked like it had been undisturbed for ages; dust hung on the windows, and an ancient vine crawled its way up the wooden siding. If anyone had lived here, they had vacated the premisis many years ago....right?

"Hey, Jou, come back here with my shirt!" A deep voice called out from the doorway of the cabin. The owner of the voice, and the shirt, followed shortly after, vainly clutching long, purple hair to his chest. A large blue dog adorned with green 'socks' frolicked happily a few yards away from the cabin, swinging the man's shirt in his jaws.

Tori couldn't help but smile as he watched his companion race around the massive trees; after all, he did have other shirts, and they had all been cooped up in the cabin for so long because of the weather. Despite the fact that barely any light hit the ground in the forest, snow seemed to find its way easily, and the entire area had been buried in it for some time. All of the residents of the cabin had to work together to keep the snow off of the new addition to the family: a small, almost dainty egg nestled deep in a wicker basket, and covered with as many blankets as possible to ward off the snow. The little being, dubbed Vei'Kove by Tori, huddled down in its woven home while outside, but once safely in the cabin, spread its delicate wings, testing them in the warm air of its new home.

As soon as he was sure that Vei was comfortable and safe, Tori settled down in one of the two chairs in the cabin, and pulled a rather dusty book from a nearby shelf; his hand shook a little as he opened the journal, and began to write.

Page One

Dear...Josey,
Ahh, another journal....I guess I'll leave this one after a couple of days, too, right? Ha, wrong, this time. I have big plans for this baby, so to say. I have so many pets I wish I could write about, you know? And I thought, when contemplating the ideas for this journal, that I should put all of them in here, together. After all, everything they do is here, in the cabin, with me, and each other, so why not have it all in one place? Of course, per rules, I will include Vei in every entry, but that won't be hard; he's so wonderful, I can't wait to interact with him more.

Anyway...Enough about me, more about Vei. He's wonderful; his life is so precious, and he's so...well, dependant is a good word, for now. Soon, though, I know he will grow up, and I will be able to teach him how to fend for himself out in the forest, and in other places. I know he'll be a wonderful addition to the family here, and everyone will like him. Ug...

Tori surveyed his own writing, a sour look on his face.
Still Page One
I need to work on my writing, though; I don't seem to be very good...at all...in any way....

A small update on everyone: Right now, Vei's asleep, as is Jou, Zaidon, and Do'Mai; I guess the warmth around here makes more than just humans sleepy. I think Kai's making a salad for himself in the kitchen; either that, or the lettuce has a mind of its own and is committing suicide. Kaen's painting something on the tiny canvas I got for him a while ago; it's probably Shim, his love. Overall, everyone seems to be quite happy, and I hope they will stay that way for a very long time.

Tori's long hair swished gently as he rose from the chair, a startled look on his face. Sighing softly, the tall man plopped back down, picking up his pencil.

Yeah, you guessed it: Page One
Ahh, it's snowing...again. I hope the wild animals will be alright outside; it was just starting to warm up, so I guess they would have been coming out about now. I guess we'll be cooped up in the cabin for a while again. That's not too bad, though; gives us all lots of bonding time.
Well, since it is snowing, I need to get outside and help Kai cover up his garden. I think this journal entry went pretty well, for being my first in quite a while. As long as I live here with all my wonderful companions, there will be many more.

Kai's distressed voice floated through the cabin, and Tori stood quickly, following his 'son' outside to the garden. Snow slowly drifted to the ground, sticking in some places, forming puddles of cold water in others. Although the day would be cold, the cabin would be warm, and the beings inside it happy and comfortable.
"Heyy guys! I'm back!" Tori smiled broadly, his head poking through the doorway of the cabin, followed shortly by his body. His arms were packed with paper bags, which he carefully set on the small table in the kitchen, before turning to properly greet his companions.

"How is everyone, today?" His long, purple hair swished slowly behind him as he turned back to the living room. Jou was already at Tori's feet, his tail wagging happily as his wet nose pressed against Tori's leg. Kai floated slowly in from the general direction of the garden outside, seeming to not notice the walls that he was passing through. Zaidon was likely outside somewhere, as it was finally a nice day, and the sun was making the usually-cold temperatures rise quite quickly. Tori's smile widened, and he hugged Jou and Kai, before turning to the one room in the house with a closed door.

"Hmm...I wonder if Vei is awake..." He whispered, slowly opening the door. As he tip-toed in, a sudden fluttering attracted his attention to the roof. Vei'Kove was settled softly on one of the top raftors in the room, and looked quite comfortable, despite his precarious position. A gentle wind swished in from the rest of the cabin, pushing the cover off of the window; a single ray of light, and then another, and another, pushed their way into the room. As light flooded in, it caught Vei's wings, and the room was filled with green and brown shapes, almost clear, but very visible. Tori's breath caught in his throat for a moment as his eyes traveled over the now-lit room, and back to Vei, who didn't seem to mind the light a bit.

"Wow..Vei, you're beautiful, you know?" The tall man reached up, wrapping both hands around Vei, and gently pulling him down from his perch. A small fluttering of wings showed that the Tsubasa didn't mind the new movement very much. Tori turned, troting almost silently from the room, which still contained some eggs and small beasts.

"Ahh, Vei, what do you want to do now?" He looked down at the egg, watching closely for any sign of decision. When there was none, he shrugged, ploping down on the large, comfy couch situated against one of the walls in the living room.

"Let's watch TV, shall we?" Tori's long fingers grasped the remote from its place on a small coffee table, and he pressed the 'power' button; the metal box came to life, slowly showing two people sitting at a table, talking about something. Naturally, this didn't interest Tori, and he flipped through the channels until he found a show that could interest him. Small beings fluttered too and fro across the screen, as a deep, British voice drawled on about the mating patterns of the Africal White-Tailed Butterfly. Tori's eyes lit up, and he smiled happily, settling down to watch one of his favorite shows. After a few moments, he noticed a small movement from Vei, and he looked down, only to find the egg on the coffee table, leaning close to the TV. The way his wings flapped, it was almost as if he were watching the show, and with an interest that dumbfounded Tori. The tall man shrugged, smiling softly, and got up to fix himself something to eat.

Ten minutes later, Tori returned to the living room, chomping on something green in a black bowl. The TV was off, and Jou was lying on the couch, his head between his paws. Tori's eyes widened as he noticed Vei; the Tsubasa was sitting motionless on the coffee table, his wings outstretched to either side of him, totally ridgid.

'Oh, no...Did he freeze or something? It's not cold in here...' Tori's mind whirled as he almost dove foreward, picking up Vei. The egg wasn't cold, and when Tori picked him up, Vei seemed annoyed, and flapped the end of his wing gently. The tall man sighed in relief, gently patting the egg.

"Hmm...I wonder why you're doing that...." His brow furrowed, and he looked around the room. There wasn't anything to distract Vei, or disturb him; Jou, the TV....Oh. Tori nodded slowly, smiling.

"You're a smart one, ne? I bet you saw the butterflies drying their wings on that show, didn't you? Hah, well, when you get done, I am sure you will be just as competent as they are with flying." He nodded, hugging Vei gently, as he walked toward the incubating room. Tori placed the egg on a small pillow and pulled the shade back over the window, nodding slowly.

"There...Now, have fun, and do try to sleep some, ne? You are a growing boy..." Tori smiled gently, shuffling out of the room, the door slowly closing behind him.
Life at the cabin had been going as usual for the last couple of weeks. Kai's garden was bursting into life, a new bloom popping up from the soil almost every day. Do'Mai gathered pretty bits of the forest to decorate his room, himself, and anyone else who would sit still for a few moments of the Nightmare's beauty work. Jou spent his days scouting out nice places to hide in the forest, possibly for future games, and Zaidon happily grazed the small patches of grass here and there in the area. Overall, life was pretty good, everyone was happy, the world was good for the inhabitants of the cabin.
Naturally, something had to happen, if only to stir everyone out of their normal paces in life. On a particularly wet and foggy April day, the cabin received a gift that would change things for quite a while. Quite a long time ago, Kai had received a paintset, and little paintings had turned up everywhere, until the paint had run out. This rather soggy day, paint would infiltrate the cabin again, and art would reign.

"Oh, man, guys! Look what I have!" Tori practically galloped through the door of the cabin, almost running into several pieces of furniture, and a piece of cabbage on its way to freedom. The tall man quickly recovered, used to being clumsy, and held up a bag with triumph.
"Hey! Where...is everyone?" He looked around, pouting slightly; he had such a cool thing, and no one was here to see it. Seemingly from no where, Kai float-walked into the room, as if sensing his companion's minor distress.
"Oh, hey, Kai! You'll really like this gift, but it's not directly for you." Tori nodded slowly, pulling a grey box out of the grocery bag. He popped two clips on the front of the box, pulling the top back. Kai leaned in close, a sudden gasp slipping through his lips.
Tori smiled broadly, nodding. "It's a paintset! Sy gave it to me, er, Vei..." His smile became sheepish, and he popped the little paintbrush out of its holder, waving it around. "I think he'll love it!"
Kai nodded slowly, his smile gentle and loving. At that moment, the sound of the small flapping of wings drifted through the room, and Vei'Kove's small form slid into the room. Tori perked up, his smile huge.
"Vei, look! Look what Sy got you! You remember Sy, right? He's the nicest person I know...." The tall man nodded many times, almost jumping with excitement.
Vei seemed to stop and consider, then proceeded toward Tori and Kai. His wings gently caressed the paintset, feeling over it in the only way he could, with the lack of arms and legs that came with being a flying egg. Tori reached out with the brush, running it playfully over Vei's shell.
"!!!" Vei'Kove shook, flapping his wings fast to get the tickling brush away from him. Tori laughed, pulling it away.
"I know you'll like it, Vei, once you can...oh, my..." His face became a mask of bewilderment, as he watched his little Tsubasa. Vei'Kove had dipped his wings into the paint, and was flapping wildly, throwing little blobs of the stuff around. Tori quickly turned, laughing as the paint hit him, along with everything around; he grabbed a piece of paper, turning quickly. Vei stopped for a moment, seeming to analyze the white sheet in front of him. After a few moments of quick consideration, the Tsubasa dipped his wings into the paint again, and wiped them along the paper. The design was beautiful, at least to Tori.
"Ah, wow, Vei...That's amazing..." He nodded happily, setting the paper up on an old eisel he had saved from Kai's painting times. When he looked up again, the sight made him bite his lip, to keep from making 'awwww' noises. Kai had picked up the paintbrush from the floor, dipped it in paint, and was making art with Vei. Together, they created a swirling, dotted, beautiful piece of work, and Tori already loved it; he settled down behind the two, idly herding the rogue cabbage back into the kitchen with his foot. The tall man relaxed, leaning back to watch his companions work together. Finally, this day could be an unusual one, and good, at the same time.
((Sorry for the delay in entries, guys...I've been having some problems, I'm really busy (even though it's the summer...vv) and I just got my wisdom teeth out...Expect more regular entries in the journal now, especially if I can get someone to come over and play with Vei...))

Tori was awaken by a loud, thumping noise coming from the newborn room in his cabin. He shot up out of bed, eyes wide with fear; had Vei fallen, maybe cracked? The man was at the door in a flash, and had it open even faster. He flipped the light on, scanning the room, and then letting out a sigh of relief. Vei was on the floor, sure enough, but he was settled happily in one of the many fluffy beds that Tori had lined the bottom of the room with, for just this occasion. The tall man gently shuffled over to his Tsubasa, stroking its shell.

"Hey...you okay, Vei?" He almost whispered, afraid to not get an answer. The little wings fluttered into life, and the Tsubasa lifted in the air a few inches, before seeming to notice Tori there. It turned up, then down, and then back to its companion, as if to ask him, "Why am I on the floor, and not in my usual bed...?" Before Tori could say anything, though, he had already flapped, rather unsteadily, to his normal place on yet another fluffy bed, in the raftors of the room. With a slight shake of his head, and a chuckle, Tori turned, getting back to bed.

~Morning~

"Vei! Vei, where are you? Breakfast is ready!" Tori called from the kitchen, slightly huffy; his Tsubasa was never late for breakfast, even if he couldn't eat quite yet. It seemed that the company, Tori, Jou, Zaidon, Do'Mai, and the rest of Tori's pets, was extremly exciting for the little Tsubasa. With a frown, Tori started off toward the newborn room, only to find Vei situated quite comfortably on the couch, watching a nature show about butterflies, again.

"Ohh, I see...Well, once it's over, do come to breakfast, won't you?" Tori smiled slightly, turning back to enter the kitchen. Ever since he had seen the first show about butterflies on Tori's rather old and rustic TV, Vei hadn't missed an episode, no matter what. It seemed that there was no limit to his facination with the little, fragile animals that were in many ways connected to him. Tori didn't mind this, of course; he had hoped that Vei would be a Tsubasa that would like to learn, as well as play, so the man could teach him many things in life, without the fear that he would not listen or care. With that thought fresh in his mind, Tori shuffled into the kitchen slowly and softly, so as to not disturb the newest member of the family.

While Tori had been gone attending to Vei, the rest of his companions had already started breakfast, in their own unique ways. Jou was happily settled in the chair next to Tori's, chomping his specially-made wet and dry food; as usual, he got a little bit out of his bowl and sometimes onto other being's plates, but licked it up quickly. Do'Mai was sitting in a way that made it look like he was tending a nest over his chair as he pecked daintily at his pellets, fruit, and veggies. Next to him stood Zaidon, quietly munching his bran mush, and looking quite a bit sleepy; although he was usually quite entergetic in the middle and end of the day, this horse-like being was definitly very far from being a morning-goer. Kai floated a few inches above his chair, his arms crossed on the table, head up and alert; although he, like Vei, did not eat, he loved to sit and chat, or just watch everyone else eat. The rest of Tori's companions ate either around the table or outside, whichever they prefered, and everyone was quite happy with the arrangement.

Tori finally settled down in his chair, picking up his fork and stabbing a piece of scrambled egg gently. "Ahh, food..." He munched quietly for a while, and when almost everyone was done, he rose from his chair, collected the plates and set them in the sink to be washed later, and shuffled back into the family room, to sit and watch butterfly shows with Vei. All in all, the morning had been a good one, and those beds Tori put up in the newborn room had definitly come in handy. Hopefully, Vei would learn not to roll out of bed anymore, although Tori doubted that the fall had any real effect on the Tsubasa, since it seemed to not have noticed.

Lucky Wrangler

Stereo didn't like forests much. There wasn't enough sunlight, with all the branches over his head. And there were too many trees! Well, not always, he had to admit. But there were too many trees here, and they were much too close together - he was very, very scared of ripping his wings off.

He was, of course, very proud of his wings. To the point of vanity, even. They were like those of a monarch butterfly, except not the same orange-gold. These were blue - bright sky blue, that under the right light would shine silver. And Stereo loved it, when that happened - he would strut around, showing his wings off to people who were getting rather annoyed by it.

Now, however, there was barely any such light, and no annoyed people. On top of it all, he didn't want to be attracting vicious magpies. So he tossed his silvery hair - decorated with a single black streak on the left - and continued on his way, picking through the fallen branches and scattered leaves.

An even deeper shadow fell over him - he jumped backwards, as if it spooked him - and fell onto his back.

A moment later he sat up, adjusting his seagull's helmet. The butterfly looked up - beside him, a looming wooden wall that he hadn't noticed in his irritation. A cabin?
