NEW: After much thought and deliberation on my part, I've decided to quit this quest....it would take at least a few more months to get it, if it didn't rise anymore, and chances are it will...there are things I want to do and get, and I feel my gold would be spent and used better elsewere. So, without further ado, I'm closing/quitting this thread, though if anyone wants to continue hanging out on this thread it's cool. Not that many people donated, but if anyone who did wants their gold back or whatnot, PM me 3nodding

Introduction
Welcome to this quest thread. My name is Cassandra022, or Cassandra or short, and I shall be your quester or the evening. Come, allow me to introduce myself and show you around...

About me: I joined Gaia at the begining of Sept. '04, after seeing the link posted on another forum I used to go to. I can be found posting at the guilds I'm part of and misc. boards all over the site. I like black things. A lot. And cats. Cause cats are awesome. Yeah...

Anyway, after getting quite a few of the commons and lower donation items I wanted, I have decided, for once, to aim high. Hopefully I won't fall on my a**. If I do, let's pretend you didn't see anything xd Anyway, I'm going to try questing for a scarf, one from the Dec '03 donation letter. Cause they rawk. Can't decide on which one I want though, so, if you vote in the poll, it would help lots.

Anyway, this is my quest threads, where I can post progress and hang out and look cool like all the other questing people. Keep me company? Seriously, it gets lonely/looks pathetic when you're quest thread has nothing but your own bumps in it....and this is gonna be looooonnnnnnggggggg quest. 3nodding

Quest Thread FYI
Alright, so I'm gonna have this quest go a little differently than my past (far smaller) quests, in order to cater to my shooping habit. Because I really doubt I could totally not-shop for months. Soooo....

I donate to gaia monthly; 4-5 of each months letters that I get shall go to my quest. I'm not going to sell them until just before I offer though, because letter value increases with time. I'll count my estimate of thier monetary value as part of my offer/progress. Further, every time I earn a thousand gold, half of it goes into my quest. The other half I can with as I please.

I plan on raising money through posting and polling as I normally do, fishing or profit as much as possible, exchange whoring if I can manage it, and possibly through selling meh photoshop work. Donations, though very much appreciated, are not what I'm counting on to achieve this quest. Not going to beg for, or very much expect them.

Bumpers & Donators
So, I so give things to people who bump/hang out in this thread, and to people who donate...bribes? No of course not...they're expressions of my gratitude...erm, yes that's it xd 3nodding

Anyway, it works like this: if you bump ten times or more (bumps DO NOT have to have the word 'bump' in them -- they can be anything from poems to quotes to conversations with me) I will make you a custom bump. Mind, unless you tell me how you want it to look, it'll be whatever I feel like making. So, if you want something specific, ask. Over thirty bumps will get you a banner.

As for donators -- any donation 500g and under will get you a banner. It can be a personal banner (like in my sig), a couple banner, a banner or your quest, guild, lotto -- whatever you wish. Donations above that and up to 1000g will get you a custom wishlist. However you want it to look, however many items. Donations of over 1000g will get you a custom signature, a coloring, or a combination of 2-3 of the previously mentioned items. And a big thank you, of course blaugh

A note...two notes actually. Firstly, regarding the rewards -- if you qualify for something and want it, PM me and tell me what you want. If you don't, I'll assume that you don't want anything. Example of what I mean:

You don't have to claim it right away if you don't want to, just drop me a PM when you do.

The second note is regarding speed of delivary. Though some peices may take me hours, I'm generally very prompt when it comes to giving people their orders. If not the same day, you will almost certainly get it the next; I can guarantee you that you won't wait longer then two days, excepting extenuating circumstances (punishments, power failures, etc.)

Ok, so I lied. One more note: when you order what you want, be as specific as possible. The more specific you are, the more the finished product will resemble what you want. If you're not specific, you are giving me creative license to do whatever I feel like, and though as of yet no one has complained about my work...be specific if you can. Erm, yes. That is all.

*clears throat* I'll try to restrain my hyperness. Really.

Anyways...the quest title shall stay as it is throughout the quest: I really can't seem to decide which one I want. I think I'll just let gold-greedy people vote in the poll, and whichever scarf has the most votes when I complete the quest is the one I'll get. It's more interesting that way anyway, with no one knowing which scarf it shall be...for the easily intrigued at least.

Book Recommendations
Why, you might ask, would I bother recomending books? Because I'm as book-obsessed as they come, and it is my thread, and well, why the hell not? So I'm posting books I've recently read and enjoyed. Suggestions for the list welcome 3nodding

Evolution by Stephen Baxter; reading it now...a lovely take on the subject of evolution, very well written and descriptive, and intruiging. Anyone who might have read/liked Raptor Red would like this too.
The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop; Great, originalish fantasy trilogy. A very good read, amusing character names xd
