Brief Rundown for those too lazy to look
These are RP-optionable pets, meaning you don't have to RP/Quest if you don't want to! The rewards for those that do are mostly RP-related, but can result in a free pet from time to time, depending on if there is a plot going or not!

If you have a Sarnin, you do NOT have to RP to do the games and missions! You can just do the games/missions and not socialize if you want to. ^^

  10. I have the right to revoke ownership of Sarnins. If worst comes to worst, I -will- take your Sarnin away. I will only do this if you 1)steal art, 2) godmod, or 3) do something to end up on a blacklist in another shop and it's sevre enough that I agree with it. (ie, stealing art, godmodding)

The Story of the Sarnins
A long, long time ago, when Elves were as numerous as the blades of grass upon the meadow over younder, past the forest, they realized something. As keen to the woods as they were, there were still creatures that lurked within the very woods they lived in that they could not successfully drive off. Time after time these creatures came and attacked, striking at the most vulnerable of the Elves - their livestock. Swiftly, the number of horses and oxen declined, forcing the merchants who relied on those beasts as a way of transportation to earn their living to push their trips back until replacements could be found.

One day, the High Druid of the Elves called his kin together to discuss this. After all, without trade, a city swiftly fades and dies out. Together, they devised a plan - a plan which, if it worked, would solve their problems once and for all.

The druids soon came together and started their low chanting, aided by the mages in the background as a source of power. After all, only though who understood Nature could have any hope or chance at changing it. After three days and two nights, the first Sarnin opened its eyes.

The Sarnins were the result of different animals merging into one being. The first animal they had was a horse - once on the run, nothing can stop an Elven-bred horse as it chases the wind. The second animal they chose was the fox - crafty, intelligent beings who know what to do and how to react in a situation. The third animal they choose was the cat, simply for the sleek grace and power. Finally, the last animal they choose was the eagle-- The rulers of the sky.

They were a success - the Sarnins could now defend themselves from attacks by their sharp wit and claw. Or, if the situation proved to be unfavorable, it wasn't too hard to flee, as they had the ground as well as the air free to them. They were inquisitive and friendly, never lifting a paw against one another nor against their protectors, companions, or anyone. Yet, no Sarnin can resist the temptation of a mischievous trick to be pulled on someone in good humor, nor can they resist the sweet taste of chocolate.


Sarnin Stats

Height (Sarling): Roughly the size of a horse's foal
Height (Sarnin): Roughly around the size of a horse -- think 15 hands to the shoulder
Diet: Plants
Favorite Treat: Chocolate
Favorite Food: Chocolate; otherwise what you'd expect a horse to eat
Least Favorite Food: Meat (exceptions: those that are more feline than equine; can tell by non-retractable claws)
Misc. Facts:

  • Sarlings can fly, but they can't fly carrying someone until they become a Sarnin, when they're stronger.
  • When carrying someone, Sarnins fly slower than they would unburdened. Wind-aligned Sarnins fly faster, and the "burden rule" does not apply to them.
  • Sarnins do NOT have hooves. They have paws, complete with small, retractable claws. Think house cat-like claws. The meat-eating Sarnins have non-retractable claws, but are sharper and more deadlier.
  • Sarnins have a keen sense of justice and Chivalry.
  • Sarnins can speak common tongue, should they choose. They can also whinny, snort, growl, roar, purr... Anything! Even croak. o.o
  • Sarnins have a "sense" of what's magical, and what's not. The stronger the Rank they have, the stronger and easier they can feel it. They can also learn to use it with higher rank, if they arn't an Akh'faerin, but they'll never be as good as them when it comes to that area of field.

The Story of the Sekkar


No one knows really WHERE they came from. It could be that they were nameless fae that were cast aside by some God's will. Nethertheless, they appeared in the Observatory one day. Corgan immediatly looked at one and shouted "SEKKAR!"... "Danger," in the elven tongue.

After that, the Sekkar took on form, and now appear at the Observatory and surrounding areas. Did Corgan give them a name? Possibly.

Until the truth is known, these mischievious spirits are shrouded in mystery.


Sekkar Stats

What?: Fairies!
Height: Range between 5-10 inches tall from footpaw to horntip
Diet: Unknown. Sweets and sugar is suspected.
Favorite Treat: Unknown.
Favorite Food: Unknown.
Least Favorite Food: Unknown.
Misc. Facts:

  • The Sekkar are very mischievious. They pull out all stops for a prank, sometimes!
  • Sekkar lean more towards stealth and magic than strength.
  • As far as we can tell, the Sekkar are immortal.
  • So far the Sekkar have only appeared at the Observatory. Which is a good thing.
  • There are two types of Sekkar. Wild, and Tame. Wild Sekkar tend to strike randomly and create chaos, while the Tame Sekikar like to hang around and do the occasional mischievious act. Tame Sekkar are also aligned with an element, like the Sarnins.

He just appeared, and was last seen talking to Maru... It looks like they're discussing something important, since they both went into Maru's office and locked the door behind them.

He's about as tall as a draft horse, and easily towers over all the Sarnin. He doesn't seem like a threat, but just in case... It might be best to be prepared.

Ohh… so you’re interested in becoming a Keeper or Guardian or Owner of your own Sarnin? Well, there are FOUR ways to acquire a Sarnin. Each has different rules, so PLEASE READ them all! Thanks!

Sarnin Flatsales

1) WAIT for Corgan_ala_Sarnin's post of "GO!" in big, RED letters. The time is just an estimate of the time the sale will start.
2) After the "GO"... Say which Sarnin ya want.
3) When all have been claimed, Corgan will post who got which.
4) If your name is on the list... Send Corgan_ala_Sarnin the trade! In return, he'll PM you your new Sarnin.
5) If you didn't make it... Stay turned --Sometimes a raffle or a post-flatsale are held after. Surprise surprise! biggrin <-- Does not happen all the time. o.o

Only post for one Sarnin! I frown highly upon claiming more than one Sarnin in a post, as it puts many to a disadvantage.

You can, however, post a second time to claim another. If you recieve the first one, than your second claim will be VOID.

Once upon a time, the old Sarnin Thread was alive. Then Gaia ate it. If you bought a Sarnin from the old ~*Sarnin Cloud*~, please PM Corgan_ala_Sarnin with "Sarnin Ownership" as the title. In the PM, be sure have the picture of the Sarnin! If you changed your Gaia name since then, PLEASE find a way to prove that it's you. Also, let's say you want to give a certain Sarnin an armband with a heart on it... But they're all ready wearing an arm band! Instead of changing it to a tail band, the item can go into the Sarnin's extended inventory. These inventories can hold several items, though be warned! If you start switching things alot you'll stress the cert-person who'll start charging you to make the change! =o

So if you do get the extended inventory... Change items, like, three times per two weeks or something. ^^;

Extended inventories (E.I.) are what they're called -- extended inventories. These things merely hold objects aquired from the Sekkar or from Missions, or RP. This place can also be used to hold extra accessories. Extended Inventories are recieved upon aquiring an item that goes into an E.I. You can see the E.I.'s in the Items post on the first page.

However! Maru has been getting busy of late. RP-required pets may or may not be rejected due to the amount of time they need to be RP'd. If you wish to offer a RP-required pet in exchange for a Sarnin, let me know ahead of time that it is one. If the pet is non-RP-required then changes into RP-required, then it will make Maru VERY unhappy... Unless you let her stay non-RP required, that is.
