FAQ
Q - What does it have to be about?
A - It only has to be egyptian themed. I want to make sure you have good egyptian knowledge and story writing skills.

Q - Do I have to own one to enter?
A - Not at all! But you will no doubt become an owner if you win.

Q - Can it be violent?
A - Yes, but I want to know before hand so I can place a warning at the top of the thread. Nothing sexually related though. I'll black list for you that.

"So!" spoke a figure emerging from the temple of Aker. A thin figured woman, with long black hair. "You have come forth to be a caretaker of 'deshret miew ne netjerew'? Very well. You don't look worthy to me, but Aker is trusting with his children. I'm sure you get along just fine with one of the creatures. Keep in mind, they are very powerful and do not take kindly to mortals at first. Only those who are true, can properly bond with one of the 'deshret miew ne netjerew'. I'll show you around."

"Here is one of the older 'deshret miew ne netjerew'. Your's may not look like that one at all, but that gives you an idea of what you're getting in to. Also by the time they reach that age they will have bonded with another, normally a mate. They only breed with their choosen partner."

Stepping into a hall the woman waved her had dismissively. "I suggest you study up, I'll leave you here. Good luck!"

You're Role
You are a person from the near by villiage. You came to the temple of Aker to obtain one of his children, which is a very high right. It is anicent Egypt so there is no technology. You can be either from a rich, poor, or middle class family, but you cannot be royality(unless I say you can.) Keep in mind you are simple minded and believe heavily in the gods.

In the lands of Egypt exist the twin peaks, the pilliars that hold up the sky. One to the east, the border of the rising sun, Bakhu. One to the west, the border of the setting sun, Manu. These two peaks were guarded by the twin lion god know as Aker. These peaks were sacred and without them, life would not be able to exist.

Aker's dual essence was separated by the lands of Egypt. He was unable to move about the lands freely and experience life. He was trapped forever was the guardians of the peaks. Pondering his inability to ever cross the lands, he set a plan in motion to allow himself to live throughout Egypt without leaving his sacred peaks. When the sun was high he cast down into the lands a creature of the Bakhu and waited. When the moon hung high in the sky he cast down a creature of Manu and smiled There was little difference between the two other then being born from different peaks, but together they were truely godly.

These creatures came to be know as 'Saw sawet ne Aker', which is translates to mean sons and daughters of Aker. These children resembled a large feline and stalked the lands between the two peaks. Maneless, for a the mane belonged to the gods. They lived the lives Aker could not.

It wasn't long before other gods noticed the children. Bastet the goddess of the life and warm of the sun cast down her love upon a few scattered children. They took on a more loving appearance. Sekhmet the goddess of the scorching sun threw down her hate upon a few of the scattered children. They took on a more evil appearance. Other blessings occure, but none so grand. These are sacred blessings and are very rare.

And so through the lands of Egypt ran 'Deshret Miew ne Netjerew', the desert cats of the gods.

Gift of Jewelry Stage
At this stage you go forth into the desert with the jewels and pray to Aker to bless you with one of his children. If you are lucky he well send forth a child.

Child Stage
At this stage the desert cat will not wander far from your side. They are shy, but they do not listen to a word you say. They are extremely demanding and you are forced to server them night and day until they learn to respect you.

Teen Stage
This could be a good stage or a bad stage. If you failed to properly treat your child it will be a very aggressive teenager. Luckily you can turn this around and please it before it hits an adult. If you pleased it as a child you'll find it obeys some commands and is less demanding.

Adult Stage
If you failed to make it happy at all, then it will most likely kill you or massively wound you. After this it will leave you and we will have to pray to Aker to take back his child or we will have a very dangerous rogue desert cat hunting through the villiage at night. If you managed to please it then you'll find it's a wonderful companion and it always listens to you.

Q - How much?
A - 2k - 4k. Why? Well some jewelry offerings/gifts are better made and well please the gods more. A more pleased god will cast down a pet with more details, more and/or brighter colours, etc. There's nothing wrong with offering a cheaper gift, but if you want advanced colourings or details be prepared to pay more.

This is a price guide to estimate what you should expect. Keep in mind this is a guide and not a rule. It tells you the max and min normal colours and the max amount of uncommon colours. It do not mean you'll get everything listed.
User Image

User Image

Q - Do you do customs?
A - Maybe. I don't offer them for a price. If I did offer one it would be for an auction or a raffle. I'd rather not get custom requests all the time. For now you'll just have to have faith in my colouring xd

User Image

Q - What do the symbols on the cert mean?
A - Well that's simple. The following guide should help you.

User Image
User Image

Q - What do I do with the gift?/What do you mean by 'wanderings'?
A - Well as it goes you obtain a gift through the temple of Aker. You may take the gift into the desert to pray to Aker for your pet. It's a dangerous journey, but you can be well rewarded at the end. If Aker is pleased he will send forther one of this children for you to care for.

User Image

Q - Can we roleplay with pets from other shops?
A - Yes, provided you can make it make sense, such as a beaver would not be in Egypt. A hawk is in egypt. If you aren't sure if it is acceptable just ask me, but as long as you can make some story that isn't overly far fetch, then I will accept it.

User Image

Q- What's the difference between Manu and Bakhu?
A- Manu is the peak of the setting sun and Bakhu is the peak of the rising sun. Desert cats have to be opposite to breed, but there's little difference between the two. Aker is a twin lion god, the Bakhu lion and the Manu lion.

User Image

Q- My pet is unhappy, what do I do?
A- Roleplay! Quickly! I'll send you a warning and that's the signal to roleplay like a madman. You failed posting in over a month and have to reprove your worth. If you don't your pet goes hostile and runs through the town killing everything it sees.

User Image

Q- I got warned and I posted, but my pet is still unahppy. Why?
A- You haven't roleplayed enough or posted enough. If you get a warning it's because you haven't post in over a month which is against the rules and you rightly should just be blacklisted and your pet taken away, but I'll give you a single chance to redeem yourself.

Failed Caretakers

These people cannot own another desert cat. They are welcomed to continue to roleplay, but they aren't well liked by the community.

<center>User Image

Originally I planned on having them breed naturally, such as a female and a male having babies. I lean more to that kind of thing. I'm traditional, but I accept others choices. Desert cats will not breed traditionally.

You will be required to have a manu and bakhu desert cat. These two can combine their life energy and send it to the gods, where there will be desert cats born of their energy.

A priest will need to be present. He will be required to determine how to fashion the tail braces and collars to apply to the children. Caretakers will have to pay for the materials used and the time of priest.

Two to four desert cats will born.

Cost: 6000g

Pet Trades

I do except pet trades, however I may refuse which is most like NOT an insult. I don't enjoy roleplay required pets, because I am forgetful, scatter brained and lazy. I am terrible at keeping watch over this shops roleplay behaviour.
