Perhaps it is the condition of mankind to be violent and greedy. Why is it that we lust for shiny things and blood? We may never know. As you walk down the street an odd ad catches your eye. It reads: Looking for riches? Fame? Perhaps just a good fight? If so, come to the Kelp Beach Tavern, in the Coastal village of Kelp Beach. Ask for Jeremy. Interested in what you read, you make your way to the tavern. After an uneventful trip, you find a bar full of bums and drunken sailors. Tobacco smoke fills the air and you feel as though you could get it with a knife. The disgusting stench of rotten kelp, seawater, dead fish, and body odor nearly makes you throw up. You approach the bar, requesting to see 'Jeremy'. The bartender motions to the stairs. "Second door on the left." he says. You climb the stairs and enter the room. the room has a number of people in it, as well as an odd spectacled man in a long black cloak. The room is filled with thugs and rogues, obviously looking for easy cash. You begin to wonder if ou have come to the right place... "Welcome, traveller. Please sit down, we mean you no harm." Says the spectacled man. His voice is odd. It seems metallic in a way. You take a seat, he begins to speak again. "Freinds, we are gathered here for one reason. Desire. You read my add, and desired something you saw there, correct? All we humans have a disposition to desire that which we do not have. And there is something I desire. This thing is known as the Aurum Ovum Draconigena. Or the golden dragon egg. It is of course, not literal. It is merely an artifact of a similar shpe and texture of a dragon egg, it is made of gold. However, I cannot hope to tell you where it can be found. Although, it is speculated that there is a book somewhere that tells of it's location. In the ancient Library of Crosus." A collective gasp fills the room. You understand why. the Library of Crosus is a massive building filled with demons and ghosts. It was constructed long ago by an ancient dictator named Crosus. Within it's walls lye some of the rarest, most sacred, and most forbidden man-kind has ever created. It is definatly a dangerous task, just to get the book. Let alone the artifact. "I see you all know of this place. I am glad. So here as all I ask of you; You must find the book, and find the egg. Then you must return it to me. I have decided, however, to make this a little competition. I will only pay one of you, or one group. So whichever group, or person brings it to me first, will receive payment. However I request you do not kill eachother yet. For two reasons. I'd like there to be a number of people doing my searching for me. Besides that, I'd like to keep this room clean. Now, be off, the lot of you." As you exit this room you are shoved aside by a man rushing out. "Stop, you" Says Jeremy. The man turns around, and you sheild your eyes as Jeremy releases a blueish flame from his palm onto the mans face. "Let this be a warning to you all. Don't ******** with me." He closes the door. Ok, so now you've been given your quest, so get on it! For nnow, we'll have no player-on-player battling, but perhaps later. As this game will tend to have a competetive air, I will need to make use of the PM system for various reasons, so please make sure I will be able to contact you.
