The Letter
On the mahogany desk upstairs lay a rather blank letter with a few questions on it, and the reciever of the letter was pacing to and fro a few feet from the desk. Finally, the female pacing walked over and sat down, scribbling in her name and the Tsubasa she wished for.
Keeper's name: Kanth
Desired Tsubasa (Please list the Species and Type): Feathe'r, Seme
Tell me, what's your home like? Do you have any pets? Picking up the quill, Kanth tapped the feather part of it against her lips, and tilted her head slightly. How on earth was she supposed to answer this? 'Of course I have pets' would be too rude, and she didn't want to be too lighthearted about the matter, either. Dipping her pen into the inkwell on the desk, she pressed the point of the pen to the blank spot under the question and began to write.
I currently live in a mansion where there is plenty of room, but I only have a few pets at this time, due to my recent wanderings.
Pausing, Kanth shook her head. What else was there to put? Hesitating over the paper with her quill, she bit her bottom lip, sighing. Adrian was far better at answering letters than she was - after all, she mainly served as a bodyguard, even though she herself was a royal.
I have only a few pets, and they all seem to get along with each other. Kanth continued to write. As I've stated above, there is plenty of room for the future pets I plan to receive, though I don't really think of them as pets, or me as their owner. I like to be known as a keeper, really - and the 'pets' as my friends.
What do you think your (desired) Tsubasa I/ II will be like? Nice? Grouchy? Playful? Or something else? Moving onto the next question, Kanth had to smile. This was somewhat easy, now that she got into it. The Tsubasa I hope to receive will be carefree, and I wish that he will have the best home here. I can't really say what kind of personality he will have. You can't just decide for someone or something to have the personality you wish for it to have and recieve it; life doesn't work like that.
Do you think you'd make a great Tsubasa Keeper? Why? Leaning back in her chair, Kanth sighed as she ran her hand through her soft, short black, and focused her red eyes on the last question of the paper. For one, I have time. She paused. This question was a bit harder than the other two combined, and she was having a harder time with it than she did the previous. For two... She paused again. Why would she make a good keeper? Kanth started again, putting deep thought into her answer. For two, I have good patience. Scowling, she crossed out her answer and started over, shaking her head. This was getting nowhere, and fast.
After having scribbled out the last answer, she started over, giving an exasperated sigh. Well, here went nothing.
I can't really answer that question at this point, but I do know this: I will be there whenever anyone needs me. That, I can promise, and keep. Nodding at the finality of it, Kanth rolled it up and tied it closed with a ribbon, then held out her hand to the owl sitting next to her. When it climbed on rather tiredly, Kanth tied the note to its leg, despite the clicking of its beak she received. "To VitaMit, and quickly now. And please be kind." Giving a small hoot, the owl took off and flew out of the open window, disappearing into the darkening evening skies to deliver the message.
