Welcome to the Nikko Pups Lodge, home of the super growing/changeable Nikko! We have been around for more then a year and are starting our 5th thread. NiKKos grow up 5 times and also have a very rare 6th human-like form called a Morph. These animals live in an eternally cold world called Lakia Mountain. In the wild, they hibernate much of their natural lives, but Sirenz and her team of explorers find them so that they can be adopted by kind owners. With your help we will save the Nikko pup from an otherwise dull existance. ^_^;

If you lost your nikko and another person owns it, you ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DEMAND IT BACK! This has happened TOO MANY times already, and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED ANYMORE. If you want your old nikko back, you must pm the new owner of said nikko and ask NICELY if you can have said pet back. If the person says NO, drop it. If the owner says yes, then BOTH of you must pm either [ Mialee ] or Anthro!Sparky with the image/s of the nikko/s in question to be retagged, or it WILL NOT BE DONE. This is mainly for those who were blacklisted and lost their nikkos. Also, if you had given your nikkos away to be cared for and want them back, you must have Anthro!Sparky's personal permission to get them back. If Anthro!Sparky gives the okay, then it's fine, since it had only been a temporary rehoming.

To get your nikko updated to the new lineart, send 1k for each nikko to Anthro!Sparky, Pandie Andie, or [ Mialee ].

Important Information about Nikko Pups! =^.^=

-RPed & well nourished Nikkos have 3 stages of growth! 3nodding
-RPed & well nourished Nikkos can have 2-4 pups normally, or, for an extra fee, 2-8 babies randomly (generated with gaia random number generator)...
..one named Yuri has even had 9! eek
oIf you ever want your Nikko to stop growing, you can purchase some Anti-Aging Serum in the General Store.
oPlease read and agree to the Rules before adopting a Nikko.
oNikkos are not for sale unless you can be lucky enough to find one in a flat sale, get a FYO slot, or win one in an auction.
oDo not be sad if you can not get a Nikko, as they are sold rarely. This is because the explorers and myself work many hours for you long after you purchase one, especially if you roleplay your Nikko.
oPlease do not PM the staff unless authorized to.

Nikko Facts

1. ^Status Descriptions^

User Image=Morphs=: Morphs are the final stage of a Nikko's evolution. They can be morphed by using rare potions found in the Forbidden Cave. Only the bravest of Nikkos can be morphed.

2. ^Brief History^
On my many travels, I happened to see a young pup frisking about in the snow on the mountain with a limp.
Upon examination, I saw she had a cut in her foot so I decided to take the cold pup to my lodge. I named her Faella and ever since she has been a loyal friend.
I spoke with the chief of the Nikko pack, a wise nikko named Greydon, about the pup I rescued.
He said that the young Nikko pups love to explore and hate to hibernate. We decided that the pups could be adopted by kind owners instead of hibernating in the cold dark caverns.

3. ^Facts^
Nikkos share qualities of both feline and canine species. In early stages of a Nikko's life, they resemble a kitten. As they grow older, they start to resemble an Alaskan Sled Dog like my dog Nikki. They are very loyal and love the company of others like dogs. Their ability to see in the dark and their personal grooming habits are some qualities they share with a cat.

Breeds of our good friend the NIKKO PUP!

The Seal Point Nikko (FYO) is the nikko that has points of one or two colors. They may have some special markings too! They are the average lil nikko pup!

Nature Nikkos are nikkos that resemble a special animal. They are sold rarely and limited numbered.

Demonic Nikkos are nikkos that look like demons.. they have violet demon wings...

Nitemare Angel Nikkos have dark halos and dark wings... they visit other nikkos in their dreams.. they can be dangerous.. watch out!! eek


Phoenix Nikkos glow firey red and have PHOENIX WINGS... they are very strange nikkos.. they have the power to heal other nikkos that may of been hurt..

Butterfly Nikkos have butterfly wings..they look like lil butterflies and help Lakia mountain's vegetation..

Fairy Nikkos have their own fairy wings! They are magical nikkos with the powers of the Fairies... 3nodding

Hawk Nikkos have beautiful hawk-like wings...they are extremely rare...
They can soar higher then any other winged nikko..

Angelic Nikkos are nikkos that look like lil angels.. 4laugh and they have HALOS and angel wings.... they are much rarer and this reflects in their price...

Pengis are very sweet and adorable creatures living amongst Nikko Pups that resemble penguins. They have fuzzy lion's tails that they use to fish like Nikkos do! They are born from eggs. When they hatch as a baby pengi, the baby might grow into one of 3 different kinds of Pengi! Its a suprise!

Mystiks resemble a horse and cat kinda! They have magical powers allowing them to take Nikkos different places. Also they sometimes give a Nikko who owns them a suprise! They do other things too you will have to see for yourself. 3nodding They are very rare like Uni/cats and can be found roleplaying or even rarer in an auction or raffle.
They can't breed yet.

Jakibits are very soft and furry animals resembling jakelopes! The male of the species grows horns when they mature. eek The female looks like she has floppy rabbit ears!! 4laugh They grow in 3-4 LIFE CYCLE STAGES!! eek

Bearetts Named by the ancients for resembling a young teddy bear cub and a ferret. Bearetts are super loving and affectionate. They love to give big bear hugs and they show their emotions by squeaking in many different pitches. Some nikkos find the constant squeaking annoying but other nikkos learn how to understand a Bearett's dialect of squeak and squeak back to them!

Snowi These wise Snowi try their best to cuddle warmly in old white oaks deep in the Lakian Thicket. Some believe that the Snowi are elven owls because they seem to live forever. Whether this is true or not, a Snowi can be a great pal as they can fly great distances to check out the best playing grounds for a Nikko and their friends.

Seabees What is a Seabea? This is the question that this lil critter gets asked all the time and it drives it positively bonkers! Seabea says: *arp arp murrrip!!* Oh!! So you don't mind telling them today? Ok. Seabea says:*arp arrrrp! murrrip murm...murrrip!* Oh I see. 3nodding It says that its a type of seal and said that if i had half a brain i would see that for myself. hmm...wait a minute..*arches eyebrow* stare Seabea says: blaugh

Squirly Mouse: Squirly Mice dig tunnels in dying trees to stay warm. They gather loads of bazeel nutts and nipin nutts to take down to support them through the iciest of Lakian seasons. It is usually very easy to get one out of their tree hole as they have a weakness for cheese you see. wink

Uni/Cats are the rarest of all the pals..they can only be found for free by ROLEPLAYING your nikko in the nikko mountain spring...or in a raffle/auction rarely.

By following you can be the leader of the pack..


1. No stealing any of my artwork.

2. Always be respectful to everyone...yes even N00Bs

3. No PMing the staff with n00bic questions or stuff

4 No refunds of pets will be given:

No, you do not have to refund him the gold. He gave you gold, you gave him a pet-- that's the deal. You don't have any obligation to refund him just because he's suddenly changed his mind. If he doesn't want them anymore, that's his decision, but he can't just demand his gold back. If he returned them to you and doesn't want to own them, you're free to
do what you like with them-- you do own the images, after all.


5. Harrassment of any form will NOT be tolerated. Should any harrassment or ill-treatment of the staff or shop-goers is found out about, be it over the boards or over IMs, those responsible WILL be blacklisted/Perma-banned. If you are perma banned, this means that you can't use your pets beyond images on their signature and gaia. That means no rp, no breeding, etc.

6. Everyone must listen to Sirenz, her 2nd in command, Maura Rune, Anthro!Sparky, any employees, and ppl chosen to speak for her in her absence. Usually this may be Steal, or someone I've asked to help out. For harassment or ill-treatment of Sirenz or the staff of this shop, whether in the shop or aim etc, You can be grey listed or temp banned if you choose not to listen to the staff, perm banned if its the owners.

7. NO COMPLAINING or whining or begging. Please no depressive behavior either, emotional tactics are a big no no. Its pixel pets not real life. Speaking about problems in an appropriate manner is fine, we all have them. And everyone needs someone to talk to, in order to sort things out. But emotional ploys and cries for attention are not acceptable. Nor are they tolerated. Please refrain from using such things to guilt others or make them feel bad. We realize sometimes you may not mean to make others feel bad but please refrain from that behavior.

8. If I see anyone behaving badly in another thread, I may blacklist them here too. If you are found trying to cause drama for someone in the shop, you will be blacklisted. If you don't have the nerve to pm the person you have issues with and talk it out like an adult, then don't expect to get treated like one.

9. The use of powers is restricted to the guild only. The lodge is inside a building and it is disrespectful for your nikko to use powers there..they might break something.
10. If you are banned from this shop, your pups are taken away and given out to new owners. Don't like it? Tough.

11. Bringing back two VERY old rules, that has been around since this shop started:: A) There will be NO excessive swearing allowed at any time in this shop by any person. If you are warned 3 or more times about your language, you will be greylisted for 3 months. This means that while you are on the grey list, you may not breed or buy any new pets from this shop. Any language problems after that will result in immediate banning. And trust me, we read back through the thread, so don't think we won't find out. B) You are not allowed to bring in any pet from another shop, or rp items off your avatar in the shop, without first consulting the most active owner. ((This would be either Valeria ((Anthro!Sparky)), Maura Rune, or Sirenz. Whoever is online more and posts in the shop more would be who you would ask in pms.)) ALSO:: No nikko is to be rp'd outside the guild or shop thread, meaning, no setting up an rp thread in a different area, or taking them to another shop, without first consulting the most active shop owner.

12. Vampires are ONLY commissionable through Anthro!Sparky. If her spots aren't open, then don't ask any other colorist to do a vampire.Anthro!Sparky and [ Mialee ] are also the only ones allowed to do Vampire Breedings.

13. Anthro!Sparky is the only one allowed to do Werewolves as commissions/sets/breedings. Do NOT pm/post in thread asking any colorist to do it other than Anthro!Sparky.

14. If a particular colorist can't do a commission you want done, it is either being done as a set, or is too complicated for that colorist to do. Colorists:: If you get a commission you aren't sure about, meaning, whether you are confused whether it is part of a set already claimed or you feel you can't do the work, ask Valeria about it.

15. If a cosplay pet is inactive for too long, a secondary version may be made for an active pet owner. The original pet will still be able to breed and such. The only exceptions to this rule are if the pet was gotten through a pet trade.

Who what when where why and how???


exclaim Update 9/6/04: Due to lots of Nikkos being neglected, it is now encouraged that the owner roleplay their nikko at least once a month if possible. This is not mandatory but just know that if you neglect your nikko, they will get sad and withdrawn.

exclaim What are Nikko Pups??

Nikko Pups are very intelligent animals that grow 5 times if they are taken good care of.

Nikkos resemble a cat and a dog. They share qualities of each species of animal. Some are pack animals so love to be social and gregarious with others like dogs. Some like their independance like cats so these live amongst themselves in a Nikko Den. Nikkos always make sure to please their owner (YOU!) who RPs with them if you want! surprised

They like to find trunks and gift boxes just for Nikkos in random events. These Nikko Gift boxes sometimes contain a prize for their owner! blaugh
Plus they can do several other things. You will just have to find out in the RP Mountain!

Nikko Pups eat food like a real pet and need to be played with sometimes in the RP Mountain. They need toys to keep themselves entertained if their owners cannot play with them for long periods of time.

If they are just treated as a "siggy image" then they will get very lonely and sad. Sometimes they might even start crying or whine if they are ignored for long periods of time. Just like a real puppy would.

If you do not want to care for your Nikko Pup anymore contact Nikko Pups Lodge and we will give them to a kind owner who will.

When your Nikko is an adult, then you won't have to spend as much time with them unless you want them to grow into a Nikko morph. wink

Nikko Pups who are taken good care of grow to be very lovely adults who can have 2-7 puppies! eek There is just many exciting things currently for Nikko Pups in the RP Mountain for those that take the time to care for their puppies.

Pals are Nikko Pup's friends that are not high maitenence like a Nikko Pup is.

They do not need toys or food to know they are loved.

They can be neglected if the owner wishes because these pets do not change very much like a Nikko Pup does.

Pals can be treated as a "siggy image" with no problem.

Get a pal instead if you do not have time to care for an online pet-simulation experience like that of a Nikko Pup.

Pals are friends to the Nikko Pups and they make them very happy. smile

Nikko Pups grow up 5 times for a reason. They are supposed to be a simulation of a real pet for those who do not have a pet in real life. Or can't get one because their parents/apartment/etc won't let them. Or for someone who just wants something new and interesting.

Loads of work goes into your Nikko pup way long after you purchase one by myself and the staff. They do grow 5 times in case you didn't know. Each stage is carefully colored lovingly by myself and the staff just for you. Taking several hours sometimes to complete life cycles.

If you have a pup and decide that you do not feel like caring for them any longer, please contact Nikko Pups Lodge. There are many people who want to care for a Nikko Pup who cannot afford to.

Sorry, I don't appreciate begging for my pups. It isn't fair to the people who save up and buy one. If you want a nikko relaly really bad..and are very very desprete, you should stalk the thread and make friends with those that have them. You might get a special one if we make a mile stone page or in an event.

When your Nikko has reached Teen or Adult, go to the Forest of Love. It is under Lakia Mountain Map. Pals can breed there too.

exclaim If I neglect my pup can they still breed?

Yes, but your pup will feel unloved and be malnourished so they can only have 1-2 puppies max.


exclaim When do you have Sales for the Pups or Pals?

Just stalk the thread. I don't announce them anymore barely unless I am selling new line art animals.

Go to the Lakia Mountain Map. Scroll up. There are several RP places to choose from. You can even start your own if you have a good idea.

Your Nikko has to use food to grow up sometimes. It means they ate it! eek

exclaim Why did my Nikko's (insert a toy) disappear after they have grown up?

I must of made a mistake when doing grow ups. In this case, I will correct it if you ask me kindly or you can just think that your pup lost it while playing! wink

This means you have been neglecting them kinda. After the next life cycle week, they might run away... sad

exclaim Why is there a thought bubble by my Nikko pups head?

This means your Nikko got a random Event. Go to Lakia Mountain Map, and then to the Nikko Random Events to see what is it.

exclaim Why do some Nikko Pups look like people?

These Nikko pups have been so loyal and loved by their owner for so long and they have become what is known as a Nikko Morph. The chieftain of all NiKKos, Greydon, himself is a Nikko morph.

These special NiKKos guard all of Lakia Mountain from the greedy pirates and piratess' who destroy the clean air and land while conquesting for their gold.

Also they are better equipped at defending against some dangerous beasts who will sometimes ravage Lakia Mountain or try to hurt/steal younger/weaker NiKKo pups.

They are the last stage of a Nikko Pups life cycle

exclaim Can Pals morph?

Yes. If they have grown into adults and the owner has showed in RP that they really love and care for their pal. Then they might grow into a morph also and help the NiKKo Morphs help save Lakia Mountain from the pirates.

exclaim Where are the pirates and the beasts at? eek

Sometimes in the RP Center a pirate or beast will come and attack the Nikkos and pals.

A Nikko might get a special reward if they are there to protect others from these evil creatures

Rules
1. Don't sell any pets w/o Nikko Pups Lodge's Permission
2. Senior (Sr) Breeders/colorists get 75% if nonchanging~90% if changing
3. Jr Breeders/colorists get 50% for nonchanging~75% for changing
4. Do not ask to work here. We choose people we can trust to work for us. Show up and roleplay and be nice and maybe you will be picked.
5. Do not retag any pups w/o Maura Rune, Sirenz, or Valeria's/Anthro!Sparky's permission.
6. No bickering is going to be tolerated at this shop. Bickering in the thread can result in both parties getting banned.
7. Color your best!
