<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Bacteriovirus_Sample.gif" align="left">
Bacteriovirus - This Microbe doesn't attack humans, it kills and eats other Microbes. Best to keep them separated, or you may lose a few of your pets.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Ebola_Sample.gif" align="right">
Ebola - This virus has become famous in recent years and is one of the most contagious and dangerous illnesses yet discovered. And we'll be bringing it to you soon!
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Hepatitis_B_Sample.gif" align="left">
Hepatitis B - An STD that causes liver failure in some of the people who contract it. Many people who carry it never show symptoms.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Influenza_Sample.gif" align="right">
Influenza - Also called 'The Flu', it's one of the most common illnesses in North America. It mutates constantly, so there are new outbreaks each winter. Most people don't realize that Influenza can be dangerous, especially to infants and the elderly.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Strain_121_Sample.gif" align="left">
Strain 121 - This imaginatively named Microbe doesn't cause illness. It's a microorganism that lives in the heat vents deep under the ocean, capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures. It's a neato little bug!
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Rhinovirus_Sample.gif" align="right">
Rhinovirus - Also known as the "Common Cold", this little bug, along with Influenza, makes millions of people miserable every winter. Better bring lots of chicken soup, because we have it now!
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Streptococcus_Sample.gif" align="left">
Streptococcus - This bacterium is the cause of the serious throat illness Strep Throat, and most of us have gotten it at some point in our lives. What most people don't realize is that this same bacterium causes the much more debilitating Flesh Eating Disease, which can cause limbs to need to be amputated to stop its spread through the body.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Smallpox_Sample.gif" align="right">
Smallpox - This virus no longer exists. It was stamped out about 30 years ago, but before they managed that, it was one of the deadliest diseases known. Smallpox ravaged the native peoples of North America, brought over by European explorers, and was also common in many developing nations.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/TcALL_Sample.gif" align="left">
T-cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia - Also called cancer of the bone marrow, this disease is actually caused by your own immune system. T-cells, whose function is to attack and eliminate infections in the body, multiply out of control.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Rabies_Sample.gif" align="right">
Rabies - A well-known virus, rabies attacks the brain, driving the animal (or human) who carries it insane. It is transmitted in the bloodstream, through saliva, which is why a bite from a rabid animal is so dangerous.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/HIV_Sample.gif" align="left">
HIV - Once HIV, or the Human Immunodeficiency Virus becomes active, it is called AIDS. It attacks the cells of the immune system. Latching onto the cell wall, it replicates itself inside the cell and destroys it, releasing millions more and systematically shutting down the body's ability to protect itself from disease. Most people don't die from AIDS. They die from another illness they contract and are unable to fight off because of AIDS.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/Magnetospirillum_Sample.gif" align="right">
Magnetospirillum magnetotacticum - Though this may seem to be an unremarkable, vaguely spiral-shaped microorganism, Magnteospirillum has one unique property. As part of its normal biological processes, it creates small clusters of a magnetically-charged metal!
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/SalmonellaSample.gif" align="left">
Salmonella - Most people have heard of Salmonella. This Microbe is a bacterium that causes severe diarrhea, fever and cramps if it gets into the body - usually through eating contaminated meat or licking your fingers after touching the meat. So cook your chicken well, and use antibacterial soap after touching the raw meat!
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/LeprosySample.gif" align="right">
Leprosy - Creepy looking little bugger, eh? Leprosy is famous for causing your body parts to 'fall off'. This bacterium attacks the skin and nerves, causing parts of your body to lose all feeling. Because the nerves are dead, cuts and damage aren't noticed, and infections take hold, eventually causing gangrene.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v44/chichirinoda/Microbes/MononucleosisSample.gif" align="left">
Mononucleosis - Or 'Mono' for short, is a common illness, causing a fever, sore throat and extreme tiredness - sometimes for months on end! The virus that causes it is related to Herpes, and it is sometimes called the Kissing Disease, because it's easily transferred through the saliva.
