1. A powerful emotion, such as love, joy, hatred, or anger.
a. Ardent love.
b. Strong sexual desire; lust.
c. The object of such love or desire.

2. Boundless enthusiasm
a. The object of such enthusiasm.

3. An abandoned display of emotion, especially of anger.

Passion: The wisp
Passion is a deep red, almost the colour of blood, with different red tone hilights. At the moment, whenever it touches me I feel a surge of passion, sometime for whatever I'm working on, others for anything at all. It's interesting, and sometimes irritating, to feel such passion, especially when there's nobody to act it out upon.

User Image Ayoka is awfully flitty for a girl -- all I did was grab her waist to stop her from getting fallen on by me / falling over in shock, and she jumps like a jimeny cricket!

User Image Kanene is... hot damn, that boy is amazing. Seriously. Pity he's so damn loyal.

User Image The Skank. She's a b***h, likes to break good things up, and fears my Mountains of Doom, 'cause she's flat like a board. She also likes to makes big threats, for a little girl.

User Image not yet met

User Image Erasmus is awesome! I really like him, we played cards together when I visited his house, and soon we will be able to meditate together!

User Image This girl seems awesome, she has a wicked knife. I need to get to know her better.

User Image Reaghan is slimy and... greasy. His hair, at least. And I can't help but notice that hair all the time. Doesn't seem too interesting, so far.

User Image Taye's an interesting guy, gives good back massages. I like him, he's nice.

User Image I still haven't met the elusive Alaric, though I've heard him mentioned more than once.

User Image Pavel is adorable, and I really enjoy his cute, eight year old suggestions.

I got a wisp today.

That's a strange sentence. But there's really no other way to describe it. It's... red. And wispy. Smoke-like, thus, wispy. Wisps of smoke, right? It's a deep red, almost the colour of blood, and it floats, hovers, drifts around. Around me, much of the time.

And when it touches me, strange, strange things happen. It landed on my shoulder while I was doing research, first. I was, incidentally, reading about mythology. And suddenly, all I wanted to do was read mythology. Read it and read it and read it and, damn, live it. I vaguely considered turning myself into my favourite Greek myth -- Medusa -- but my mind, far too logical for the rest of me, stepped back. Half of me flipped out. What the hell was going on with me? The other half continued to daydream about living as Aprodite.

When I turned my head, I encountered a face full of smoke. It felt half-real, more solid than smoke is, but not real enough to stop my head. The wisp flew away, and I was left feeling only the remnants of my previous passion, and mad confusion about what the hell had happened. And I, for all my "scientific method" cannot figure out what the hell is going on.

Good job, Elo, good job.

H'okay! I have identified what it is that is chilling in my house, and why I feel so, well, passionate is really the only way to describe it, whenever it touches me. It started with a visit to the Kuatalmot shop last night, so I'll start there.

I walked into the Kuat shop feeling apprehensive... if nothing else. Passion was drifting just above my shoulder, so I feel that something more than a simple desire to make a good impression was going on there. I wandered into a discussion about these Kuatalmot, involving Inle-roo, who has a wisp too -- Paranoia, apparently. As I learned the basics of these Kuatalmot, which has proved to be very informative, Passion drifted over to a group of Kuatalmot, and appeared to cause some sort of ruckus. It involved two girls almost kissing, a silvery wisp (must have been Paranoia), and a slime covered monkey. I had to leave before anything else happened, unfortunately.

In any case, I'm certain that the wisp I have is Passion now, considering the effect she's had on me and all the other people around her. And now, I have some homework to do, damn you, Calculus. I want to get Passion sitting on my shoulder while I do my homework, see if it makes me work better. Hahaha, maybe I'll finally understand that class.

Over and out.

O joy of joys. Passion and I have gotten into our first altercation. My apartment is trashed; completely and utterly. I got some paint samples the other day, house paints, because a friend f mine wants me to help her paint her house, and I figured that I should play with paints and colours before I got there, so I could save time. I've always wanted to paint a house, and since I can't (or... couldn't) paint my own apartment, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to bust out some stencils, sponges, and funky colours - I love having wacky friends.

As I sat on the floor, on an old bedsheet that had been stained by god-knows-what from aeons ago, and I was mixing paints on l455555555556ittle bits of cardboard. I had a couple of large paintbrushes with me, a roller (because I love those things), and Passion wafted over to have a look-see at what I was doing. It ended up draped over my shoulders - I've come to quite enjoy the senasation, it's an odd one, but a good one. Anyway, I was suddenly... obsessed with painting and painting my apartment. I should have forseen this, but I didn't. Anyway, Passion somehow stayed attached to me as I clamoured about, obsessing over colours (orange and blue? a pretty, but odd conversation), and drove myself to the hardware store to buy more paints.

Long story short, over the next few hours, I have no idea how many, I painted my apartment. My rented apartment. I was sense enough, at least, to put sheets over all the furniture, but the walls and ceiling of my apartment are now dark blue and orange. They look awesome, I'll admit, but once Passion unlatched itself from my shoulders, and I stood back to survey my work, I was horrified, for obvious reasons.

I ended up freaking out. At the world, at the wisp, at the walls, even. I just yelled for a few minutes, and Passion hid in a corner. Lucky thing, it doesn't have to deal with wet paint or fumes. Eventually, I calmed down. My apartment does look good, and I'll figure out some way to explain this thing to my landlord, probably involving a long rant and some really, really good luck. I hope it'll work out.

In any case, the mess is still around. I got out of the apartment because the fumes were getting to me. Passion accompanied, as we had "made up" already. (I was never really mad at the poor thing, it just got in the way of my madness.) We drifted around town for a while (getting many strange looks, yay?) and then floated into a cafe for something to eat.

On the up side, at least I know how much Passion can affect me, and will be more careful getting out of its way, from now on. Perhaps we need a hand signal - like Inle and Paranoia have - that means "my bubble?"

Later: We visited the shop after we wandered home, I got sick of the fumes, and we left again. Turned into an interesting spectacle. Alas, I think Passion has made its first enemies.

More "Experiment" results.

Rachmaninoff - Thankyou GOD, my wisp has a sense of taste in music. I love Rachmaninoff, in fact, I'm playing a piece by him at the moment, and Passion couldn't stay away from my computer speakers when I played my Rach CD, so yay for us.
Will and Grace - Ehhh, Passion had no particular response to this one, which is good! It means I can keep watching and the wisp won't mind. Bwaha.
Ford - I'm glad Passion didn't LOVE the Ford ad, I would have died it if it did. Ford makes me sad, X3.
Clee (my rat) - Passion did not like poor Clee, but that could be because Clee tried to attack the wisp, and Passion... well, nobody appreciates being attacked.
Roses - Loved the roses. Wouldn't let them alone, but it could also be because they were the same colour as Passion. I say were because...
Dead roses - couldn't stand them. Possibly because they were once gorgeous, objects of love/passion and now they are... very little. I'm tempted to cut the tips off and leave the stems and thorns there, like in The Addams Family.
Paint - no, Passion doesn't enjoy it when paint is flung at its insubstantial body.

Nooo, I'm not obsessed with my wispy at all...

More later, perhaps. I have no idea how much more I want to play with Passion's emotions, but those are some interesting results, definitely.

Holy. Cow. Just when I think it's safe to walk around naked in my own apartment, Khipri shows up. Good job, Elo', flashing your Kuat child the first day she arrives.

I had just gotten out of the shower late last night, and was wandering around in my towel (a strange habit of mine, albeit, a troublesome one) when I saw a girl standing in my closet. I had noticed that my Passion wisp wasn't around, but it hadn't registered with me yet, and when I saw the stranger, I kindof wigged out.

"Who the hell are you?" I yelled across at her.

She turned around, black and maroon hair swinging over her bare shoudlers to reveal perfect olive skin. I was jealous immediately -- why couldn't I be tall and slender with perfect olive skin. Ah, my vices. Her voice was low and smooth, with carefully placed intonation. "Shouldn't you know who I am already?"

"Actually, no, I don't. So please, do fill me in on who you are, and how you got into my apartment." I sat down on my bed. "Starting now."

"I've been here for over a week," she sighed at me, turning around fully, revealing that she was holding in front of her the red sweater I had given to the Passion-wisp. I guess things probably should have started to make sense here, but they didn't really. "I'm Khipri." Her slight accent made her voice sound sultry and enticing, especially when she said her name. This one was going to be a seductress, I could tell.

"That doesn't explain much, except the fact that I appear to be completely and utterly blind. More, please?"

"I've been here for at least a week, I can tell you that much," Khipri begun to sound irritated, and rolled her eyes at me, which was still a strangely graceful move. "I came from the shop, I am... Passion."

It took a while for this to register properly with me. So we stood at an impasse for a little while, as the clogs in my mind loudly clicked together and apart, making me seem duller than I already was. "Okay." My mouth moved slowly. "In that case, you're going to be staying here?"

"Of course," the girl yawned at me, showing perfect white teeth.

"In that case... we need to get you some new clothes. Or else, my landlord is going to think I'm some kind of *****, or slave keeper, with half-naked girls wandering around my apartment."

"Is this unacceptable? Strange. You are half naked, are you not?"

"Yes. But that's different, I've just not gotten dressed yet. I have more clothes to put on. So, if you please, remove yourself while I do it?"

She grinned at me. "A little self conscious, aren't we?"

"Yes, yes we are. Now, scat. Go... eat something, or... something. You know where everything is, I'm sure."

"Of course." She smiled, and exited.

Her exeunt told me much about her. This girl was going to be trouble. "And I'm not your mother!" I yelled after her, as I dragged clothes on. I didn't want her calling me mother, like Ayoka did Suki, or ... I didn't want to be anyone's mother.

"What are you, then? If not my mother?" She called back, from the kitchen, as far as I could tell.

"Just... your friend."

Khipri came back from the shop really pissed last night. You have no idea. It was bad. She woke me up (I gave her a key this afternoon, she she could get back in whenever she wanted.) and demanded that I get online RIGHT AWAY. She made me look up ancient weapons, and stopped me when I scrolled past a pair of Sai's.

"Those," her voice was ice. "I want those."

"You've got to be kidding me." I yawned.

"No." she snapped. "I want those."

"And is there a reason you want them, other than your obvious blood lust?"

"Yes," she hissed. Khi's eyes narrowed dangerously, and s**t, she looked scary.

"And that would be? Contrary to popular belief, Khipri, I don't particularly enjoy enraged people with sharp objects walking around my apartment building."

She stalked off to her "room" (earlier today we converted my "living area" into a bedroom for her), hissing something behind her. And what did she hiss, you ask?

"The Skank."
