Works for Dial-up now, thatnks Cherylin.

FireFox users - the fix reportedly works with firefox when using a plugin called 'SwitchProxy'.

DSL is reported to work by some, but not others. Basically, try it out.

Post feedback whether it works or not plz sweatdrop
If it doesn't work, post what ISP (internet service provider), browser, and Connection type (DSL, CABLE, Dial up, Indirect network connection(inside a LAN))

Directions for internet explorer:

1. go to TOOLS
2. go to INTERNET OPTIONS
3. go to the CONNECTIONS tab
4a. (roadrunner / dsl) click the LAN SETTINGS button
4b. (dial-up) select your connection from the listbox and click the SETTINGS button.
5. check the USE A PROXY SERVER checkbox
6 + 7. Enter in an ADDRESS and PORT in the respective textboxes (list of ones reportedly working listed in the second post).
8. create and save your character (will be possibly slow)
9. go back and uncheck the USE A PROXY SERVER checkbox, to regain speed

Should work with other browsers, but I don't know where to change the stuff in any others.

If anyone gets another address and port for a working proxy, please PM me so I can post it on the 2nd post.
