Orsoa was Zhamai's first, and currently only, friend outside of his family (thats a little sad, isn't it?! =O!). He treasures her dearly, and would be the first to tear appart anyone who has the intent of hurting her. He wishes that she would one day break free of her carving, so they could play together again!

How Zhamai was found, Part One
(Taken right from the group RP thread! ^^)

The sound of an angry mob could be heard in the usually quiet area of the field, the only remaining building being an old abandoned hut. Of course, the villagers went nowhere near the hut, as it was said to be haunted. Instead, they would offer flowers and random pieces of food and jewellery to the hut; this was an offering to keep the spirit from their village.

Nearing the Hut, Enoh, a greyish-blue haired woman with red eyes, and her dear Child Mieke, a young Reindeer Tahnee, and always one for accidentally causing trouble, heard the approaching mob. Mieke was panicking, as it was her antlers that truely set the mob off; they figured that her clumsiness was the angst of a demon.

Fearful for her child's life, Enoh threw open the door to the abandoned hut, pushing her child inside, and swiftly closing the door before the mob would be able to see what she had done. As the Mob closed in, Enoh pointed towards the west.

"It went that way! It stole some precious jewels from the hut! We'd better catch it before the spirit awakens!"

The Mob, readilly believing her (they didn't actually connect the appearance of the Greyish-Haired woman to the same woman that was whisking the Reindeer girl away in the first place), ran off into the distance, yelling their death-threats to a being that wasn't truely there.

Enoh chuckled, waiting until the mob was completely out of sight before opening the door to the hut, seeing her little Mieke; her breathless reindeer child, seated on the floor as if she had collapsed, her hands lazily resting on the dirty ground at her sides. The Tahnee's mother walked over, hugging the tired, exhausted, and now crying girl.

"Mommie...Mommie I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I didn't mean to make Mommie lie...Don't be mad at me, Mommie..."

Mieke pleaded as she cried, clinging onto her adoptive mother. The Reindeer girl didn't want to be left alone again...not again. Enoh stroked the girl's white hair, playing with the orange tips.

"Its alright, Mieke. Mommie's not mad. Just be a little more careful next time, okay?"

Mieke mummbled her okay, and the pair ended up resting there, both totally exhausted.

By the Time Mieke had fallen asleep (Enoh had put her coat over the reindeer girl, who was using Enoh's blue scarf as a pillow), Enoh was fully rested, and looking around the hut. She had heard of the place being haunted...and she was a little afraid of that fact. Any Mother would want her children to be completely safe; and that was partially the reason that she stayed awake while Mieke slept.

Suddenly, there was a small scratching sound, startling Enoh, but not once waking Mieke. She looked around, noticing a small glow of yellow from the corner of her eye. As Enoh spun around to view it, the yellow had faded into a pit of black. Figuring it was just her imagination, Enoh pressed her hand against her racing heart, urging it to slow down...she had to check on Mieke.

She wandered over to the other side of the small hut, maybe a few steps at the most, kneeling down to brush Mieke's orange tipped white hair from her face. As suddenly as before, that scratching noise came, that glow of yellow...adreneline pumping, Enoh lashed out at the glow, as if trying to catch it...

And her hand grasped something small, something that felt like wood...and it was rather...warm. Her heart pounding, Enoh looked at the thing in her hand. It seemed no more than just an old wooden statue of a racoon...but it was warm, as if it were alive...and the eyes. Those Yellow Eyes. They were full of childish glee, as if scaring the woman seemed to make it very happy.

The Statue seemed content in her hands, no feeling of malice inside of that little wooden prison...

And that....Well, that was how Zhamai was found.

~*To be continued*~
How Zhamai was found, Part Two
(Taken right from the Group RP forum!)

Enoh sat beside her still sleeping adopted daughter, holding the little "carving" in her hands as if it were a priceless artifact. She was puzzled...its seemed like nothing more than a piece of wood to the touch...but at the same time, it seemed to house a soul.

Actually, this was the third time she had sat down like this, and twice, the little carving had disappeared on her. The first time, the little carving's eyes seem to giggle, before it completely vanished from her hands. Enoh, after a quick search of the hut, found it hiding behind a couple of old books on a shelf. When she had found the carving again, it seemed to shudder in glee, as if it were playing a game. She found herself chuckling too, sensing how happy the little carving was to have a companion.

The second time it disappeared, she had found it snuggled against the sound asleep Mieke, and when she found it, it had the same, gleeful reaction it had the first time it played "the game".

Now, the carving was in her hands, but it seemed heavier now, though still at a sense of content and peace. The yellow of its eyes had died down, and Enoh could only assume the spirit was asleep, just like Mieke.

Enoh smiled. It was an odd carving, but she was beginning to get attached to it. Something told her to keep it with her, to take care of it and nurture it, just like she did with Mieke and the Reindeer girl's grumbly and serious twin, Teivel. After all...how long as this little carving been alone? How long as it waited for a companion? How could it be filled with such glee for a brief moment, only to be left alone, in its little hut, once more? No, she didn't want to think about it. She would take it with her, this little carving. She would treat it as a member of her family; as her child...just like Mieke and Teivel. She would never leave it by itself like this, never again.

It was in this moment of reflection that she decided to give it a name.

"Well...I can't just call you "Carving" now, can I?"

She spoke to the sleeping soul, which had started to come around upon hearing her voice; she could tell because it got warmer, lighter, and the eyes got a little more brighter.

"I think...if you'll let me take you home with me, I'll call you..."

As she thought of a name, the carving seemed to be fully awake now, shuddering with glee and pure joy that it was going to have a home with its new friend. It seemed to want to stay with her and Mieke, too. Of course, it had no idea about Teivel. A name then came to her. She smiled brightly at the little carving, hugging it to her gently.

"I'll call you "Zhamai", alright?"

The carving got really warm then; not warm enough to burn her, however. It was a nice sensation, this warmness. She could only take it as a yes.

"Alright then, Zhamai! That little girl over there is Mieke, she'll be your sister...she has a twin brother at home, his name is Teivel...you'll meet him soon!"

The little carving seemed joyous as it learned of its own name, and the names of its new family.

"And...My name is Enoh, but if you want, you can call me 'Mommie'."

Zhamai seemed to purr then, that nice, joyously warm sensation filling her hands again, and it seemed to spread into her heart.
Mieke's first encounter with Zhamai; Zhamai plays more "Disappear and Go Seek" ...His favourite game.
(Taken from the Group RP, again...x.x)

Mieke was beginning to awaken, the reindeer girl stirring lightly in her sleep, mummbling something about candy canes and flying. Enoh was still awake by that point, in fact, it seemed that Enoh rarely slept at all. She still had Zhamai in her hands, the sprite having fallen "asleep" again. Mieke sat up slowly, rubbing her tired orange eyes with her fists, cleaning the sleep from them. The girl spoke slowly, unsure of her voice and her surroundings.

"Mommie...?"

Enoh looked over at her Tahnee daughter, smiling warmly.

"Yes, dear?"

Mieke returned her mothers smile; though her smile seemed clumsy and slightly crooked. The reindeer girl pointed at the carving in her hand, that same tired tone to her voice.

"Mommie...whats that?"

So, Enoh told Mieke about Zhamai, going slowly to allow the girl to wake up, and to fully comprehend what she was being told. By the end of the story, as short as it was, Mieke was wide awake, down on all fours before her seated mother, and staring curiously at the "sleeping" sprite.

"Oooh...So Zhamai's my new Baby Brother?!"

Mieke began to squeal with glee, then quited herself down, not wanting to wake the sprite. She whispered softly.

"Can I carry him, Mommie?"

Enoh nodded, handing the supposed carving to her Tahnee daughter, who held it gently in her arms. Mieke giggled as she felt the warm sensation that followed as the sprite awoke. The Reindeer girl lifted the carving so she could see it, and it could see her clearly. The Sprite seemed fond of Mieke already. The Tahnee girl grinned warmly.

"Hello Zhamai! I'm going to carry you now, and I want to be your friend, not only your sister!"

The carving shuddered with glee once more, warming up once more; it made Mieke chuckle, the sensation almost tickling to her.

That was how Mieke truely met Zhamai, her dear younger brother. From that point on, the two were like playmates. Zhamai seemed to love the Disappear-And-Go-Seek game he had played with Enoh, and he carried on that joy to play with Mieke during the trip as well. He would disappear from Mieke's hands, reappearing on various spots on her body; once on her head, her shoulders, strapped into her belt, and a couple times, he even dangled from the corner. Once, Zhamai even vanished completely, appearing inside Enoh's side pack. Of course, this disappearance frightened Mieke and Enoh to no end, until the little mischevious sprite was found, the carving's eyes seeming to laugh in glee at its games.

Its games were enjoyed by the entire party.

What seemed like minutes later, when in reality, hours had passed, the trio had come across the outskirts of a swamp; the like of which Mieke (And apparently Zhamai, as he suddenly got cold and VERY heavy) wanted nothing to do with. Enoh insisted that the quickest way home was through the swamp, and so, she eventually coaxed the Tahnee girl (And the small Sprite) into following into the murky water. Enoh had taken Zhamai from Mieke at this point, afraid the terrifyed Reindeer girl would drop him into the swamp water. Zhamai was tucked safely into her sidepack, and Mieke clung to her mother's arm the entire way, whimpering about snakes, spiders, and the disgusting smell.

((What happened in the swamp will be shown through flashbacks and thoughts throughout the entire journal ^^))
Zhamai's Home! He's Hoooome!
(NOT taken from the group RP! Gahhaa.)

Enoh, Mieke and Zhamai (who spent a good amount of his swamp-wallowing time in Enoh's side pack), had finally gotten the relief of being home...finally.

As expected, Teivel, Mieke's twin brother, was practically waiting for them at the door. The serious Tahnee pretended that he didn't care, and he kept insisting that he was just going out...but they knew that he was lying. They all knew he was worried for them, and that he was very glad they were home. The golden-eyed, male Tahnee wasn't easy to read by any means, but since Enoh and Mieke, especially Mieke, had been around him a long time, they were able to understand that Teivel wasn't as serious and as heartless as the mask that he puts on.

Even before Enoh had changed into a set of dry, warm clothing, she had introduced Zhamai to Teivel, handing the carving to the reindeer boy to get aquainted before moving away, going to go get changed into some nice clean, dry clothes.

The little carving seemed joyous to have met another member of its family, one it had heard Mieke complain and talk about on numerous occasions during their trip. Zhamai's body was warm to Teivel's touch at first, telling Teivel that he liked the Tahnee boy. Then, without warning, Zhamai got hot...burning hot...to Teivel's touch, the startled Reindeer boy dropping the carving out of pure surprise. When Teivel looked down at Zhamai, the carving's glowing yellow eyes seem to laugh at him in pure, mischevious glee.

Teivel's lips curled into an unimpressed, rather angry, thin line, leaving Zhamai on the ground. It was obvious to him that the carving had taken Mieke's glee in tormenting him, and decided to copy Teivel's twin by doing so. Teivel sat back down in his chair, folding his arms across his chest, his golden eyes staring at the carving on the floor.

Zhamai, right before Teivel's eyes, disappeared from the floor, appearing between Teivel's arms and torso, making it look like the boy was holding him. Of course, Zhamai did this because he knew that Enoh was coming back into the room. In fact, seconds after Teivel's surprised gasp, Enoh rounded the corner, dressed in a fresh pair of PJ's.

She smiled in glee, seeing Teivel holding Zhamai...and not knowing better to think that it was a trick.

"Aww! Its SO nice to see you two getting along!"

Enoh then left the room, going to the kitchen after loudly proclaiming that she was hungry. Teivel glared down at the carving, grumbling once more about the entire situation.

Teivel wasn't pleased that Mieke had a partner in crime now.
The Night had come, the creature in the art room.

The night had passed without anymore incidents after Zhamai had met Teivel. The boy reindeer had retreated to his room, locking his door as was his usual custom. Mieke sat on the couch with Zhamai on her lap, unable to sleep. It seemed that the two of them had become the best of friends; Zhamai had someone other than his mother to cling to, and Mieke now had a partner in crime.

Enoh was in the living room too, resting on her side as they watched TV in the Rec. Room. Eventually, Mieke looked down on her lap, feeling Zhamai's carved, host of a body go cold. Enoh had told her once that it meant the creature was asleep, and remembering that, Mieke's lips curled into a small smile, patting the carvings small head.

Of course, that peace was short lived, as a resounding crash form the art room startled both the Tahnee child and Enoh. Enoh jumped to her feet, while Mieke was scared right out of her seat...quite literally. She winced, getting up off of the floor with Zhamai still in her hands as Enoh called Teivel's name, asking him what the heck he was doing in the art room.

Teivel came downstairs shortly after, looking at his mother and his sister as if they were crazy.

"Eh? Mom, I've been in my room the entire time...I wasn't in the Art room!"

Enoh's head leaned to the side. If it wasn't Teivel...then who was in the Art Room? She reached out, grabbing one of the baseball bats from the corner of the rec room, moving slowly towards the Art Room. Mieke, the female reindeer Tahnee, looked in a confused manner at Enoh.

"Mommie!"

She started, getting Enoh's attention before holding Zhamai up.

"Mommie, He's still cold! You said he was a light sleeper!"

Enoh's face turned into a worried one. She looked between the art room and Zhamai...heck, even Teivel was downstairs now, looking worried as wel as a little bit frightened. Enoh knew that Zhamai was a light sleeper. He had proven it many times. The fact that he didn't wake up meant that something was wrong. Another crash, followed by a scratching noise came from the art room. She came to a decision.

"Teivel. Stay with Mieke and try to wake Zhamai up...I'll take care of whatever's in that room..."

The two Tahnees nodded, both turning before walking to the carving in useless attempts to awaken it. Enoh moved towards the art room that was somewhat down the hall, her baseball bat at the ready.

The Creature is found...and How Zhamai got his flags

Enoh silently pushed open the door to the Art room, instantly welcomed by a mess of papers, crayon boxes, and some paint flecks across the ground and walls.

In the centre of the room, one of the tables had been pushed there, some paper was on it...as well as floating crayons. Enoh squeaked a bit in shock. Something was drawing in her art room! The woman could just make out a line in the air. Something that was small...had an almost busy tail...and twitching ears. The thing was something that looked like...

"...Zhamai...?"

Enoh questioned, her bat slowly lowering. The ghost seemed to turn to her, hints of yellow eyes glowing with glee as it recognized its name. However, it seemed to be finished with whatever it was doing, and the spirit flew past Enoh at an amazing speed, leaving the woman speechless in its wake.

Seconds later, Mieke's loud voice could be heard from within the rec room.

"Mommie! Mommie, Zhamai's awake!"

Clutching her chest in shock, Enoh slowly moved out of the room and back towards the rec room. Mieke's voice could be heard again.

"...Mommie...? Why does Zhamai have flags...?"

Enoh peered into the room.It seemed that he did have flags. The carving, though it couldn't move, was waving twin flags, both yellow in colour with happy, blushing faces on them, in the air above it. Enoh sat down in an exhausted manner...she was relieved that it was only Zhamai, but she was convinced that the carving had taken years off of her life with that one surprise.

The woman filled her Tahnee children in after a great length of time; explaining that Zhamai seems to be able to exit his carving body, and it was he in the art room, making all that noise...he was making flags to play with. She figured that the spirit must have incredible mental powers, to be able to travel out of its host body...

But still, it would have scared her to death, had it not ben Zhamai in that art room...

The Next Morning...Zhamai's other flags

The next morning, after the whole flag incident, it was just Enoh and Zhamai present in their little home. Mieke and Teivel had left to go visit the Tahnee orphanage. It was Mieke's new hangout, ever since she made a friend...a mute, sometimes shy Tahnee Reindeer Boy named Momo, and it was also the meeting place for Teivel and his new girlfriend, Nefryth...an overly timid and extremely nervous mouse-girl.

Who would've thought Teivel would fall for someone like that? It always amused Enoh...but love is love. She could tell Teivel was very, very fond of that girl. As for Mieke...it was nice to hear she had a friend that didn't run away, and that truely enjoyed the energetic girl's company, not to mention one that actually had the energy to keep up with her. Enoh never complained about her Tahnee Twins' choice of friends and hangouts...she trusted the two with their own decisions.

So, in that respct, Enoh and Zhamai were alone. Of course, Zhamai had spent a great deal of the morning creating a second, third, and forth pair of flags...these ones for answers to questions, as well as greet and parting sayings. To Enoh, it seemed that being silent annoyed Zhamai...that having no voice really got on his nerves. It seemed he really wanted to talk with them, but he couldn't. So instead, he devised a way to reply to questions, as well as greet others.

Zhamai created a green flag with "Yes!" written on it on crisp, clean letters, and a red flag with "No!" written in big, bold letters. These he tested out with Enoh, who was asking him what she could cook for that night; Since Zhamai didn't know what anyhting tasted like, he based his decisions on how good they sounded to him, waving either the "Yes" or "No" flag for each food item.

Eventually, he had pinned it down to three foods: Alfredo, Pizza, and Perogies. Enoh went half way there; deciding for Alfredo tonight, Pizza tomorrow, and Perogies for the night after, just to make Zhamai happy. Of course, she knew he was happy when he waved his gleeful blushing flags.

The next set of flags he created were for greeting and parting. One had "Hello!" Written in big, happy letters, and the other had "Goodbye!" In the same cheerful manner. He tested these out by waving his "Hello" flag when Enoh walked into the art room, and waving his "Goodbye" flag when she left. Zhamai liked flags, for some reason.

The last set of flags he had created that day were to counter his happy blushy flags. He created twin flags with angry, buldging temple-ridden faces. He had no reason to test these, so he just left them in his pile for when he needed them.

Zhamai, satisfyed with his morning long work, disappeared from the Art room, reappearing in the kitchen, waving his Hello flag in the air. When Enoh noticed, she squeaked in surprise, clutching her chest.

"OhmaGOD! Zhamai! Don't SCARE me like that!"

Zhamai's twin blushy flags appeared, waving them in the air, his carving host shuddering with miscevious glee. Enoh also took note, with much dismay, that he liked to scare the wits out of her.
