Another note, all those who wish to join the guild but feel they'll be found out IRL(and made fun of, or just annoyed by peoples comments, etc...) posts made in the guild forums cannot be seen by searching for your posts via egosearch, only by going to the guild and viewing the topic specifically so it is very unlikely it will ever be known you are in the guild if you do not wish it to be that way.

Another step to take with the recently added extended profiles and publicly viewable guild lists, to hide your guilds from public just go into the guilds front page and click the button at the bottom which says it hides guilds from public.
