Welcome. Well, heres how this is going to work. You may also be wondering how this will make you money. This is answered in post #2, so all of you here to make money, MAKE SURE YOU READ POST TWO!!!
Alright then, down to buissness, and a little history.
I have been interested in the Stock Market since I was 13, and seeing as it was so expensive, I had to work with play money to see how I would do. I made over 50,000 dollars profit on an original 100,000 investment. (all figures are in Canadian dollars cool ) Sooo. I have finally decided to bring the risk and the rush of excitement of the Stock Exchange to Gaia, for all of you shrewd investors out there.
Alright, now the cogs of the project.
There will be exactly 1,000,000 shares available to you, (The Gaian Public) I, being the Owner, CEO, President, Mod, and Creator of the Gaian Stock Exchange will have 100,000 shares to myself and other privilaged people who will help to run this Thread. These are called Exectutive shares and carry 2 votes on what this thread does per share. The other 900,000 shares are refered to as Standard Issue Shares, and carry 1 vote per share. Votes are explaned in post #3. The The IPO for these shares (Initial Public Offering) will be on December 31st, 2005, at 10:00pm. Shares will be available for purchase at this time. Shares will cost 1 gold each, and will increase in price whenever someone buys a share. Shares will be rounded following standard procedure. (.4 and below = 0. .5 and above = 1. ) The share price will increase by .1 gold every time someone wants to buy a share. (Please keep in mind that there is only one of me and potentially 900,000 of you. I CANNOT process all trades at the same time through the useful but inhibiting funnel known as the Bank! If your trade goes unnoticed, PLEASE, post a request to buy, or sell in this thread. The time is automatically recorded every time you make a post, and I will get you your trade as quickly as possible, after hours even)
YOU CAN RESERVE SHARES AT A COST OF ONE GOLD PER TEN ON TOP OF THE SHARE PRICE.
RULES
1. All Gaian rules apply.
2. Do NOT piss me off! Doing this will result in you losing your shares, getting yourself on my Black List
3. Exchange times are flexible, but may be closed at any time without warning. Typically we will be open for buisness between 9am and 5pm, though few trades may be processed in this timeframe.
4. Only PM me with requests for tips, which cost 1 gold each, and yes you may share tips with eachother.
5. Please be patient while waiting for your trade to be processed.
6. Bumpers will not be paid, but are greatly appreciated.
7. Comply with all requests from me or any one of my staff. (to be announced and no, you may not apply for a staff position.)
8. As in real life, all trades are final.
