Welcome to Gaia! ::

honestly, ive seen so many posts that have bad grammar. "OMG! That's awful!" But honestly... is it really that bad? It's funny that everyone with this so called great grammar will go to great lengths to critisize someone who has bad grammar. Now I work at a fast food resteraunt, and I for one should know how it feels to deal with bad grammar. And trust me, listening to it is far worse then reading it. But I don't complain!

Now if it was SO unnelligable that it could not be readable, but I see people just... go out of there way to make people who misspell a word like (ONE WORD!)... what, and resteraunt, and I dunno... chair... they try to make them look like fools who have no education, when at times, a mispelling is due to a mistype. Not everyone can type without looking at there keyboard you know. I misspell one word and someone says something like "give such and such poster a dictionary so he can look up the correct way to spell such and such," and honestly, it shows that these people are just stupid... Why even waste your time...

(BTW, I have a few words misspelled on purpose, cause I know everyone reading this can still understand what I'm typing.)
I also hate it when people spell simple words like "people" or "graphic" incorrectly, but I'm not sure if this is ED material..... I'll let someone else judge that.....

but why does it matter? It's just a simple word. why is it such a big deal that a mistake was made? we're only human
Sometimes people feel the need to be grammar nazis.
Some people are picky, some are elitist, and some are both.

Other people just suck.

If I can get the gist of it, I really don't care ghow it's presented.
exactly. as long as it can be read. it goes to show people take crap to seriously... pfft grammar nazis... hate'm

I say these people are cruel in life. If they are that great in english, they should know how to correct people's misspelling without getting them into embrassment or feeling being put down. News to those people, this will not make you any smarter, it just show how an in-considerate person you are. Not everyone speak English on Gaia.

Then you got those prefectly know English and type like an idiot. Those needs a smacking.

Hey Hey!

Let's not get all degenerate here!
They probably just like to make themselves look superior and smarter, but frankly I think it's just annoying. The only time I've ever corrected someone for their grammar is when I seriously can't understand what the heck they're saying.
I used to care about grammar, but now I don't really give a damn. I've finally realized that how a person types says something about how they think. If a person types like a sloppy dyslexic blind monkey then guess what the person most likely thinks like? If a person basically wants to wear tin foil on their head and shoes on their hands, let them. If a person insists on talking or typing like an idiot, let them. Its a forewarning to stay away or use small words in conversation.

I give a 10 to your last statement, but the two on top aren't true. The reason I like to correct people is because they type dumb things like: "sttopp ittt ritttee therre!!!!!!" or "shut upp u n00bb!," and I simply want them to translate that to actual words. I'm not trying to be smart, I simply hate illiterate newbies who can't even make a proper line of exclamation marks, like "!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!!11"
