Our Goals
My First Breedable is run by two veterans of this forum, Dark Fire Angel and Mizukori. We named our shop what we did because our goal is to offer a near-unlimited amount of top-quality Breedables that anyone can afford with a little work. In other words, a pet that a newcomer to this forum would not only want, but that they had a realistic chance of getting as well.
Our Charity
However, our services to the new and poor doesn't stop at offering pets. We also set aside 50% of all profits for our charity. Basically, we offer "grants" of gold to users who (a) prove to be good owners (by roleplaying, generally loving their pet, or OOC activeness) and (b) are actively questing for a Breedable pet.
Our Pets
Our pets are basically a re-make of DFA's old shop, Nekochous. We offer a three-stage fuzzy creature that can be entirely customized to your liking. Besides allowing you to pick the gender and color, the pets also contain "mutations" such as angelic wings, feathers, fins and halos.

Dec 31, 2004 - We're so sorry about the wait, but Christmas is wacky busyness. D: Anyway, we're all caught up! All of the Ishuu have been hatched, and we've decided that from now on there won't be a hatching sequence, since it'd take forever to lug every owner in here for it. XD Also, look out for some new certs shortly. And we opened three custom slots. <3
Dec 07, 2004 - Finished all three of the first customs. XD We'll probably open more slots later tonight.

When ordering a custom, please be sure to post your order with the following info. Please be specific! With colors, specify which is for the base, which is for markings, ect. With mutations, don't just tell us which ones, but also the types! (Back fins, ear fins, both? Curved-forward horns, devil horns?):

Intro To Ishuu
Ishuu are fuzzy, four-legged creatures; they'd be catlike if not for their awkward paws, semi-furless tails and heavy 'mutations'. Ishuu are born from cardboard boxes (after 1-3 weeks) and have subsequent pup and adult stages. They're extremely intelligent, capable of speaking English, breedable and highly sociable.
Generic Mutations
( Be specific! Each mutation has several types! )
Fins - Some Ishuu have adapted to watery habitats and have fins sprouting from various parts of their bodies, such as their tails, backs, limbs and ears. While some Ishuu may only have one type of fin, others may have them all.
Horns - Various types of horns can be seen on Ishuu: large curved horns that curl around the Ishuu's ears (facing either forward or backward), straight devil's horns and slightly curved devil's horns.
Spikes - Can be located along the back, the tail or both.
Feathers - Feathers can be seen on an Ishuu's tail or poking out from behind one ear.
Halo - Halos can be golden or black.
Antennae - Some Ishuu have moth-like feathery antennae and others have thin, butterfly-like ones.
Special Mutations
(You can't request these, sorry! )
Wings - Ishuu, much like traditional angels, are only granted wings if they earn them. How? Well, that's a secret for now. Wings can be angelic, demonic, fairy or butterfly.
Cosplay - In memory of the Nekochou shop, Cosplay Ishuu will be released eventually. These will contain entirely unique lineart and 1337 costumes. Cosplay Ishuu will be auctioned to earn funds for the charity.

Any Ishuu owner questing for a Breedable they can't afford (whether it's a 50K pet or a 3000K pet) is eligible for a grant.
Earning Grants
We look for people who show the traits of a good pet owner. These traits could be roleplaying, constant OOC activeness in the thread, proof that you love your pets beyond their pixels, or evidence that you're just a nice, friendly person.
If we decide you're deserving, we'll hunt around for evidence of a quest or pet wishlist-- in your sig, www link and journal. If we spot one, you'll be sent a congratulating PM and a trade with the gold or item(s).
Collecting Funds
A minimum of 50% of all profits from this shop's flat sales, raffles, auctions, ect. will go directly into the charity's till. Moreover, any and all donations sent to this shop will also be added in full.

A: Well, it's different for a few reasons. First, unlike most shops, we strive to keep the value of these as low as possible by offering as close to unlimited flat sale spots as possible. Second, every single pet is custom-- most shops only offer customs for higher prices or special events. Third, we work as fast as possible so we can have as many sales and breedings as possible. We also want a shop where pets can actually breed without fighting for super-rare spots and/or waiting several months.

A: Sorry, but we can't go lower than this. Each Ishuu has semi-custom lineart and custom coloring which takes time. We want everyone to be capable of getting one, but we also want you to work for it a little bit. Considering I was able to raise 10K in June '03 when gold was worth 9x as much as it is now and when 30K for a Halo was ludicrous... well, you can too.
Q: Ishuu are a re-make of Nekochous, ne? Can I get one since I owned a Nekochou?
A: If you owned a regular Nekochou (no dragons, no Cosplays) and you were a nice, active owner, you're welcome to request an Ishuu that matches your old Nekochou for a 50% discount.

A: Converting to the new shop will allow you to participate in owner-only events, breedings, and other things. While you're welcome to roleplay your old Nekochou in here, you won't be a real owner unless you convert. It's up to you if the perks are worth 5K.
Q: I owned a Cosplay/dragon.
A: Sorry, then, we can't re-make that you for... it'd be waaay too difficult. We will be releasing new Cosplays and dragons, however, that you can try for. Likewise, we won't release anything that's too similar to any of the old Nekochous out of respect to the old owners... unless the old owner wins a custom Cosplay/dragon auction and requests it.
Q: How many Ishuu may each person own?
A: As many as you want, although the price will double every time you request a new one.
Q: Can two people own one Ishuu?
