anyone else fans of this Japanese band? it's an indies band, very heavy music with a female vocalist. if you haven't, i greatly suggest you check them out:

some interesting facts: their vocalist, Anza, is half South African, and has a lot of musical backgrounds... including playing Sailor Moon in the Sailormoon musicals and doing one or two (i can't remember) themes for Card Captor Sakura. she recently played Helen in a Tokyo production of Miss Saigon. she can definitely belt them out with the best of them, and it's clear she holds a lot of anger. a lot of the songs have a very Asian sensebility in their melody and structure.

my favorite songs by them are A~La~Z, ABISO, Alien Blood, and 58468/0

I love Headphones President. 'Fight out' '********!' and 'Corroded' are my favorite songs, I believe. Anza sounds really angry when she sings and I like it. <3
I had heard about the Sailor Moon thing, but I never knew about the CCS themes. That's kind of .. funny to think of her doing those things after listening to Headphones President. XD

hmm... i like some hpp songs... corroded is one of my favorites also, and uh... s**t now. just because it amuses me. that and some other song i can't remember atm.

HPP are pretty good, well from the two songs that i've heard. Anza has a great voice that goes along great with the feel of the music. I don't like many female vocalist, but she's on my favs. list.

Anza is amazing in my opinion. She was definately the best Sailor Moon in Seramyu, but her work in HPP just amazes me every time I listen to them. 'Wondering', 'Shouting' and 'Escapism' are some of my favourites. I really like 'Star' and 'Too Scared' as well. Nevermind...I love all their songs! :sweat: I saw some videos of them live...Anza was just wonderful! They are a really good band in my opinion. :3nod:

I wish I knew where to get more MP3s, too. ^^ I'm currently saving for a long list of CDs...and I'd like something to tide me over. sweatdrop

But yes, I was a fan of ANZA's since her early SeraMyu days, and even before that. ^_^ Her style has really changed from sweet to angry...it's interesting to watch this change. ^_^

I'll take advantage of the bump! HPP is a great band. Unfortunately I've only heard two songs (Crap Head and Corroded, both of which are really awesome) because their music is practically impossible to find. Even when my friend went to Japan she said she couldn't find them.

I've only heard a few songs from them, a friend of mine made me a mix CD with them on it. I like "Too Scared" the most. They're very original...
A friend of mine saw them a while ago because they apparently played a small club in New York..but I'm not sure. sweatdrop

ZOMG! i finally found a HPP thread! ^^ I must say, HPP is my favourite band..
I love how Anza is so emotional in her music. I adore her.
Ive never heard any of her sailor moon stuff though.. im sure i wouldnt like it anyway <_<;;
Also if anyone out there is still having trouble finding some more music by HPP,. i have every song by them. So if you would like, you can just PM me about it ^___^ <3

HPP is quite awesome. I'm fond of screamy metal girl bands anyway, and HPP is one of the best, which is surprising due to the lack of metal female bands. I think I have almost all their songs >_>;

Crap head is a favorite. <3

My friend Crimson introduced me to HPP a few weeks ago. She sent me the song "Fight out" i quite liked but haven't heard anything else by them yet. She also told me about the sailo moon and i found that quite interesting.
