Welcome to Care - a - lot!

In Care - a - lot you will be able to create your very own CareBear based on your Gaian Avatar! Your CareBear will be 100% personalized based on which Gaian Accessories or Original Accessories you decide to equip onto the CareBear you created.

The flatsale and auction CareBears will have three stages: Baby, Child and Adult.

Care - a - lot is based on the childrens TV show, CareBears created by American Greetings. As you very well may remember, these bears were sent out from their home in the clouds to help all the children on earth learn how to love and how to become compassionate adults. Care - a - lot wishes to create that same effect, only within our Gaian community. Hopefully your created CareBear will help remind you to be kind and compassionate towards all the users on Gaia.

There have been some questions as to the lineart here at care-a-lot. So let me please clear that up to those who may be concerned. Yes the CareBer linart used in care-a-lot was made using a guideline from the original carebears and the creators of carebears, American Greetings, have been contacted.

Within Minishop rules and guidlelines, the bases are allowed if the user have permission from the creator. I have contacted American Greetings and have told them of the situation at hand and I am now awaiting confrimation from them whether or not this violates their terms of use. So until I have recieved confrimation from American Greetings whether I am prohibited from using the line art I have created or if they grant me permission, the shop is still up and running.

I hope this answers any concerns users may have. If I have not answered one of your questions or concerns you may have, please feel free to PM care-a-lot.

How do I order a CareBear?
Simply go to the Ordering Information section and read it over, and then fill out the corresponding order form for the type of bear you would like.

How much does a CareBear cost?
Prices are posted in the Order Form sections, but for a Basic Carebear it is 2.5k and every Gaian Accessory added on from there is an extra 500g. Original Accessories prices vary on the diffuctly of that item but none will exceed a price of 1k.

Can I pay in items instead of gold?
Sure you can but the items value must be equal to that which youre ordering. Just post which items you wish to use when you post your order form. Care-a-lot will PM you tell you whether those items will be alright or not.

How come only accessories can be added, and not clothing?
Clothing cannot be added because it covers the tummy symbol of the Care Bear. In the future there may be an option to add clothing, but for now there is not.

Are Customs and Auctioned CareBears Breedable?
At the moment only flatsale CareBears are breedables. There may be a point in time where all the CareBears that are sold are breedable. But for now its only flatsales with the sign, baby, adult, and elder.

How come only flatsales are breedable??
Care-a-lot wished to do something different than the other shops and wanted the flatsales to be the rarest CareBear you could recieve, next to your original character or cosplay CareBears only found in Auctions

I want to know when an event is happened, how do I find out?
To be on the mailing list, simply friend care-a-lot and everytime there is an update or change in the shop, care-a-lot will PM you with the information. Also, all updates will be posted in the Announcements section

Can I order an Original Character or a Cosplay CareBear?
At the moment Care - a - lot does not have that option, Original Characters and Cosplays are ususally saved for winners of contest, raffles, or auctions. Maybe in the near feature there will be that option, but for now there is not.

Whats the Item Release?
By agreeing to the item release, you are agreeing that the Original Accessory you ordered may be used for another users CareBear. All completed CareBears are in the owners section, so if a customer sees the item and wants it, we are not allowed to make that item for their CareBear, but if they choose to do any alterations to that item, then thats their Original Accessory. Example: If a customer orders an Original Accessory, such as a pink umbrella, and does not wish for that item to be released, then we cannot release any pink umbrellas to any other owners. But if a customer sees the pink umbrella in the Owners Section, and wishes to have a purple umbrella, then they will be able to order it because it is not the specific Original Accessory chosen not to be released.

These stages belong to the flatsales CareBears </center>

Stage One : CareBear Symbol

As you are well aware each CareBear has its own symbol which helps differentiate each CareBear from the rest. The first stage of a CareBears life is its tummy symbol. This symbol will grow into a baby CareBear and hopefully the symbol will give you a hint as to what the CareBear will look like.

Stage Two : Baby CareBear

After you have given lots of love and attention to your CareBears symbol, it will then grow into a baby CareBear. The baby will have some of the symbol on its tummy as well as a few markings on it to help you identify more as to what your CareBear will look like once it reaches its adult stage.

Stage Three : CareBear

After the baby CareBear grows up, it will turn into a full fledged adult CareBear. This stage will have the tummy marking as well as all of the patterns on it since it has now grown up. There will also be a special item given to the flatsales CareBears once they have reached the adult stage.

Basic CareBear Information
For Basic CareBears, the owner will be able to choose the coloring, as well as the tummy symbol and has the option of adding on one Gaian Accessory. There are 5 poses to choose from and the amount of different poses will continue to grow as Care - a - lot becomes more widely known. Once your Basic CareBear is completed, you may either change it to a tagged CareBear, or just continue to addon Accessories.

Accessory Add-on Information
All Gaian Accessories are available to be put onto your CareBear. There is also an option of adding Original Accessories. These accessories belong 100% to the owner of that CareBear, unless specified for that items release to every other customer. Original Accessories may cost more than Gaian Accessories but it gives your CareBear an original feel that no other user in Gaia has.

CareBears may have as many accessories equiped to them as the owner wishes. Owners may also unequip items from their CareBear. Each new Gaian Accessory will cost 500g, and each Original Accessory will cost between 500g and 1k depending on the difficulty.

Once you have bought an item, your CareBear will have that item forever, even if you choose to unequip it. Owners will always have the option to reequip items that they have taken off of their CareBear.

Once you have filled out the corresponding orderform and have posted it on this thread, then you will need to send a trade for the amount that is needed. After your payment is sent, your name will appear on the waiting list. When your CareBear is completed, care-a-lot will send you your CareBear with the word "sample" written over it. Once you have either posted or PMed care-a-lot that your CareBear is 100% the way you want it, then you will confirm the trade and your CareBear will be PMed to you again, only without "sample" written on it and it will appear in the owners section.

Items are also accepted for payment. If you wish to pay in items instead of gold, please post so on the thread along with your orderform. Be sure to include which items you are willing to pay with. Care-a-lot will PM you and state whether those items will be sufficient or not.
