Current Funds: We're doing alright. =)

Donation Status: Open!

2/13/04: We have funds! Currently donations will be small, only 100 G each unless I feel otherwise, but we're reopening! =) Staff, waiting list, etc. Will be cleared for a fresh start. Come, apply, enjoy!

Introduction
Hello there! I'm Shoujoka, the owner of Bento Picnic. Alright, well considering I find paragraphs boring and difficult to navigate, I'm going to put this in Question/Answer form.

1) Why did you decide to start a charity?
- I decided to start a charity because I just recently finished my quest for Fairy Wings and I decided that instead of pursuing the rest of my quest, I'd feel more fulfilled if I gave back to those who helped me, AKA, other questers, charities, n00bs, etc.

2) Why did you decide to call it Bento Picnic?
- Well, the name caused quite a bit of controversy for me. You see, at first I wanted to call it Apple Pie and Oreos. Then, right as I made said mule, a charity called Sushi and Muffins came out and I decided their name was SO much cooler and I didn't want to cramp their style by doing the same. So, then, I decided on something including Parfait. Why? Because I saw Shrek earlier and the Donkey rambling about Parfait was adorable. But, it all came down to me looking at a couple CCS pics and reading about bento that it came down to 'Bento Picnic.' Basically, I'm indecisive.

3) Where do the funds come from for your charity?
- ME! And you! Basically, I'm a normal, everyday Gaian. I'm not well off, but I'm trying to help out. Right now, funds are only coming from my own bank account so I can't help people as much as I want, but you can change that! The tiniest donations would be beautiful.

Rules - Read or Die, Up to You

Rules in General
1) Keep it PG-13. This incorporates swearing, cybering, etc.
2) Bumps are welcome. Chatting is welcome. Everything to keep this page at the top is welcome, just no UBER spamming please.
3) Be polite! I don't care who you're talking to, just be polite. ^_^ THAT'S what will get you far.
4) No over-the-top net speak. I don't want to have to read through a post that's typing lYk dIs or any l337 speak.
5) DO NOT PM ME OR ANY OTHER STAFFMEMBERS UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING TO WORK HERE. IF YOU WANT TO WORK HERE, PM ME!

Rules for Donations
1) USE THE FORM. I don't have time to read through your sob stories or paragraphs. You want something, USE THE DARNED FORM.
2) Write the form in blue. That way I can see it right off the bat.
3) Even if you post, I don't HAVE to donate to you. I'm doing this out of the kindness of my own heart, and sometimes, the charity is broke too.
4) If you're put on the Waiting List, be patient. I WILL get to you.
5) I don't want to hear any sob stories.
6) Questers must have over 500 posts. You MUST have a quest thread with over 5 pages and it must be atleast 3 days old. To be classified as a quester, you must have been on Gaia for more than two weeks. You must also be questing for a reasonable questing item. I will not be helping you if you're trying to get legwarmers. You can get those on your own time.
7) If you're a n00b, you must have over 200 posts, be a member for atleast a week, and want a reasonable common. I will not be donating to someone who's been on Gaia for two weeks and wants an Angelic Sash.
8. Write your favorite type of sushi, or ramen somewhere in your post.
9) Stick around and have atleast FIVE posts in the charity before requesting.

The waiting list has only ten spots open at a time. Once it is full, requests are closed. But if you stick around and chat for awhile, it's most likely you will be put on the list when it opens back up again.

So, you want to work here?
To work here...

You must be a hard worker. You must want to generally help others. You must be interesting.

I will pay 50 G a week to workers, sort of like, a charity to charities. Fill out the form in the next post and PM me if you'd like to work here.
