The following posts are Ceri's diary, written by herself when she is alone and bored... Ceri gets bored easily, so prepare for many an entry! xd

Note: Most of the entrys will be written the day after they happen in the RPing thread
Dear Diary,
Wow. I can't belive i have a journal.
I wonder if anyone will ever read this.
I wonder if anyone will ever care enough to read this.
I'm a very confident and happy pae'il, but when im alone, sometimes, i just want to breack down, lean on someone. Forget about holding the world on my shoulders and fall. And know that someone will catch me.
I haven't got that yet. I may be confident in public, but i want nothing more than to be able to be shy and dependant, and have someone that understands and will help me through whatever i've got myself into.
Maybe i will have that one day. One day soon I hope.

Meh, listen to me angsting away, you dont wanna read that!

So, untill im feeling less angsty, here is a song to keep you occupied:

Im a little tea pot,
Short and spout,
Here is my handle,
Here is my spout,
When you hear me whistle,
Hear me shout,
Tip me up,
And pour me out!

Yes, i have no life.
Buuuut, before i go of in that direction again, i will stop writting.
My hand is cramped.
^Look! more angst! i need some help!

Bye,
Ceri
Dear Diary,
Today was a very funny day.
Me and Myze were having a picnic, when Estra and Sol joined us with their sons.
After Estra had gone, Signis used Torvil's eyes to look at Myze.
He thought she was pretty!
After alot of blushing from Myze, and alot of laughing from me, Signis joined his and Myze's minds so that they could talk.
Thats where we had to leave.
It would be nice for Myze to find someone.
I've found that since i have become a god mother, I haven't dreaded being alone quite as much.
I guess my life has meaning now.
Well, for a while! blaugh
Anyway, thats all the interesting stuff that happend, so bye!

Farewell,
Ceri.
Dear Diary,
Well, Myze appears to have hit it off with Signis.
I'm happy for her.
And there will be some new Pae'il around in a while.
More friends for me!
Well, thats the only interesting thing going on im my life, so im gonna go now.

Bye,
Ceri
A page of Ceri's journal seems to have been taken over by a magic force. Neat scriptive writing of an unnatural glowing gold slowly appears on the page, forming a message specifically for Ceri. It is a Quest, and if she so chooses to accept this Quest, she will be granted the ultimate reward; the rare and coveted Elder form.

The message reads:

Quote:

~ -*- ~

Dearest Ceri,

Your honor, loyalty, and kind-heartedness hath been remarked upon by the Guardians of the Pae'il world. We have chosen for thou, Ceri, a Quest befitting of thee. If thou so choose to accept this endeavor, thou shall find the reward most pleasing.

For your Quest you must:
- swim to the depths of Tuatha'Ri Lake
- obtain a Rainbow Pearl from the largest clam at the bottom of the lake
- find a way to split the Pearl
*Rainbow Pearls are made of the hardest substance on the Isle*
- absorb one half of the Pearl, and allow Myze to absorb the other half

The clam's Rainbow Pearl is a valuable item, and somewhat difficult to find. However, we have put our faith in thou and thou's ability to swim and navigate Tuatha'Ri Lake. We hath also taken into consideration thou's bond with thy sister. By fusing the Pearl halves within each other, the sisters shall always be connected, always able to find one another.

Dearest Ceri, we know this is a great undertaking. We believe thou can fully complete this Quest. In doing so, thou shall be granted the amazing abilities to Heal. Thou shall also undergo a transformation, becoming the first Elder of the Pae'il race.

We will be watching, and hoping for the best.
With Love,
The Guardians

There is a space left at the bottom of the page for Ceri's signature. If she accepts her quest, she must sign the page.
Dear Diary,
This shall be my last entry for 3 days.
I have been given a quest, by the Guardians of the Pae'il race.
I must swim to the depths of the Tuatha'Ri Lake and obtain the rainbow pearl of the giant clam that inhabits the sandy bottom.
I must somhow split it, and absorb one half, sharing the other with Myze.
It is a wonderful chance and i will be accepting this task and setting out to the lake tomorrow.
I will not tell mother, for she will worry, but i will tell Myze, because i will need to find her quickly when i split the pearl.

Just imagine...me, an Elder.
The first!
Someone with a meaning.

Ceri
Ceri walked away from the nest, her pink feet padding gently on the leafy ground. She had organised for Myze to camp out the last day of her quest, so Ceri could find her quickly if she ran out of time. She pulled her backpack straps back up her arms, mind buzzing.

Why me? What is so special about me? I'm a nobody!

Doubts ran through her mind, but her powerful will and sometimes annoying posative nature prevented her from turning back. Today, she would locate the clam she needed, then tackle getting the pearl, and opening it the day after. That was, unless she got side tracked. Which was likely.

So, I will fly around the top, and see if I can spot somwhere that would be suitable for the giant clam to live.

Ceri had read many books in secret the previous night, and learnt a little about the mysterious creatures. Only once had a pearl been stolen from its clam, being the reason for the knowledge of it's existance. The clams with a slight sliver tinge to the indents were rainbow pearl clams, and there was only likely to be one if any clams in the selected lake.

They sure know how to pick 'em.

Ceri thought grimly, wincing as her foot hit a sharp stone.
Limping slightly, Ceri breached the forests, soaking in the sudden increase in light. She hung her pack on a tree, setting up her blankets for that night. Brushing any dust off her bedding, Ceri straightend up, planning the next few hours.

Right. First things first. Find clam. yea, right.

So, hopping into the air, Ceri flew around, signing merrily.

Clam clam clam, where are you hiding? clam clam clam...

Ok, not the most sofisticated song, but a fitting one. She cirlced the huge lake, taking acount of the clouds, wind direction and sky colour. Ant storm or cold night could see her in danger. Seeing everything ok, Ceri turned her attention to the cold depths of her thinking place.

How ironic...

She thought, smilling. Memorising the deepest points, and the spot where Myze would be, Ceri picked a spot at almost random, and dived into the cool liquid.
The near icy water hit her face and Ceri shiverd only slightly before entering the calm that swimming always brought. All her doubts and worrys flew from her like the bubbles she was creating, and the stress of her find and life was lifted from her shoulders. She smilled; this is what she was made for. To swim, to find, to explore. She felt alive again. Soon, she hit the ground, jolting her back into her mind.

Clam!

She nearly shouted, the water at her mouth preventing her. She rocked forwards, using the sun to find where the shadows would be; rainbow clams lived only in sunshine. Pulling her arms infront of her, before powerfully pulling them back, Ceri swam quickly through the suprisingly clear liquid all around her.

Clamy clamy clam clam clam.

She sang, well, hummed. Push pull, push pull, she set into a steady rithm. The stones flashed by, as soon the water darkend, limiting her sight. The weight of the water started to be felt, pressing only gently on her back as she searched for the lightest, but deepest part in the lake.
Ceri's heart jumped; a clam! a big one too! Sure, it was not in a very bright area, but it might be sleeping. Ceri swam closer, heart beating wildly. She ran her hand over the shell, checking for the tell tale sliver tinge. No. Perfectly grey. Perfect. A pout slipped onto her lips, that of a child denied a present.

I was sure it was this one.

Ceri thought, very dissapointed. But, alas, being depressed gets us no where. She jumped off, back into the ever darkening water. The morning light had progressed, the sun position was clearer, despite her depth, and nearer the centre of the pool. Small silver fish darted past her head, shining scales bouncing light across her face. Not many creatures swam this deep, exept the common silver fish. That one was everywhere!

Ceri's lungs began to send signals to her brain. Air. Ceri looked up, realising that normaly, she could stay a few more minutes, but now, with the great expanse of water between her and the surface, she would have to set off now to prevent her own death. So, trying desperatly to swim straight up, Ceri push vertically, an arrow cutting through the water.
Reaching the surface,Ceri gasped in air, then gasped in suprise. Night time already! The moon had risen in the sky, and a chilly wind whipped the surface of the lake, freezing Ceri in mere seconds.

I'm late...

Ceri thought, dissapointment running through her like a hot knife through butter. The sinknig feeling everyone knows drowned Ceri's hopes, pushing them back into her head. Feeling beaten, despite the distinct possibility of her quest still being compleated, Ceri flew slowley out of the water and over to her makshift camp. Flopping down into the blankets, Ceri fell into a heavy hearted sleep. Dreams of failing greeted her tired eyes.
The bright morning sun splashed over Ceri's eyes lids, waking her from the dreams she was fighting. Leaping from her covers, a new determination in her eyes, Ceri walked confidently into the lake, steadier and calmer than before. The cool water lapped at her legs, then her arms, then over her head, until she pushed off the ground, speeding into the depths of the lake. A diferent direction this time. A different destination. And hopfully, better results.

I will find it.

After about ten minutes, Ceri reached a light spot, beams of bright white light slipping through the planes of liquid. A dark shape, a little larger than Ceri, became visible through the water. Ceri became exited, and sped up, a large trail of bubbles dancing their way upwards in her wake. Small, undifind details began to emerge, the shape, for instance, was not abviously a large, oval shape. Still her legs and arms went quicker, her heart beating like a frenzied drum in her chest. Suddenly, the unexpected happend. Splashes and bubbles spring from the opaque shape, causing Ceri to think that someone was going to take her prize. Acting upon this thought, Ceri sped up yet again, zipping through the water like a dart. Before she knew it, she was face to face...with a face. And a row of sharp, huge, powerful teeth. And a dull, green shark-like fish beating its huge fins in the suddenly less pleasant water. Ceri ran. Really, she ran. And didn't move.

Oh, yea, water...

She thought, joking even in the face of death. She rearanged her limbs and pushed off the sandy bottom, yet again using every ounce of her strenght to dash through the water. Her limbs felt heavy, her muscles calling for rest from two mad swimming acounts. So, the second large lump on the watery horrison was a welcome hiding place. It was far larger than the fish, so Ceri ducked behind it, not really looking at what it was once she knew it wasn't an even bigger fish.
Ceri rested in the cooling water, staring into the watery distance as her heart beat returned to near normal. Thud thud thud, her heart pumped in her ears, the only sound present in the liquid inhabited space. The small schools of fish darted past her face, flashing the little light into Ceri's eyes. She leaned back, letting out a little breath, a sigh underwater.

That was one big fish! Nearly had me.

Ceri thought grimly, unpleasantly reminded of why she was down here. Closing her eyes, she simply was, thinking what she could do next, even as she hide from the huge monster of a fish. The light brightend as a single beam of light peeped through a cloud, slipping through the water and somhow making it's way onto her face. She opend an eye, turning to trace her hand over the rock she was hiding behind. Hmm....the rock was rippled, and smoother than she would have guessed. But, Ceri was no expert of giant underwater rocks, so she thought little of it. She totaly turned round, running her hands over the strange textured surface. Then, with the light that had been on her face lit up a small section of the rock.

Silver!

Tiny threads of magic snaked across the surface, dancing their way through the space. Ceri's heart jumped. She scrambled back, getting a better veiw of the rock. Two stone lips ran all the way around it, melting together at the back. It was oval, and at least 2 times her size.

The clam! I found it!

She ran around, well, swam, and gazed at the huge clam.

And now to open it.
