Fellow Skinny Puppy fans, welcome to The Official Skinny Puppy Thread.
Untill now, there has been many threads dedicated to the outlandishly-creative post-industrial Gods, but never an Official one. So here it is.

Pledge your allegiance!

Feel free to post pics of the band, discuss SP-related issues, and just have a good time....and as we know...there are no easy/short explainations in Puppy World. smile

Skinny Puppy's the s**t.
Yay! xd heart I love Skinny Puppy much. I listened to Bites the other day. Hadn't listened to it in a while. I love that album.
I've only started to become aquainted with this excellent band, but it's a good time to. After 8 years, a new album is out. We will certainly need to have more informaion here in this official thread! wink
The only band I continue to be a huge fan of ten years later. I always *lovve* stomping around to Smothered Hope(my fave song), Assimilate, Dig It, etc at clubs. Got to finally see em, and while they werent as 'out there' stage or performance as I expected(from seeing Aint it Dead Yet, or the 1992 Tour bootlegs) it still rocked. My fave songs are:

Smothered Hope
Assimilate
Love In Vein
Dig It
DaddyUWarBash
Inquisition
Addiction
Worlock
Testure
Far Too Frail

If only all those kids who listened to NIN, Manson, and the various psuedo industrial rock or whatever out there knew of the true influence and innovators of all that has come in the way of dark dance industrial(ie: Skinny Puppy) I credit Skinny Puppy as the main point of origin for the industrial most of us have enjoyed, the more dancey rhythmic electronic stuff(no offense to Throbbing Gristle, Neubauten, etc) Even tho Cabaret Voltaire was doing it a little before Puppy, I think history will see Kraftwerk, Front Line Assembly, and Skinny Puppy as the three biggest influences on modern EBM and industrial music.
I love the Remission EP. I picked it up for $5 in a sale.
And every week or so I listen to my copy of Too Dark Park on vinyl.
Skinny Puppy's the bomb!
I'm a fairly new Puppy fan, but I can safely say that they're at the top of my favorite bands list.
how are they live?
they're playing on my birthday, i thought it might rock to see them.
such a great group heart
It took me a while to get into Puppy, but once I did I couldn't stop listening.

Love in Vein. Worlock. Grave Wisdom. Morpheus Laughing. Smothered Hope. Assimilate. Killing Game.

I'll just say that I followed Trent down the rabbit hole and found Skinny Puppy. I haven't heard alot, but they're definately good.
I just saw them in concert here in toronto a couple days ago...
it was AMAZING...greatest concert I've ever seen.
I love Skinny puppy the rock
I'm a gigantic Puppy fan (duh), and here's my favorite songs (amongst others):

Assimilate, Chainsaw, Dig It, Smothered Hope, Morpheus Laughing, First Aid, Deadlines, The Centre Bullet, Addiction, Two Time Grime, Past Present, Nature's Revenge, Who's Laughing Now?, Last Call, Hard Set Head, and Sleeping Beast. (Like I said, amongst others.
