Looking for some variance from most art contests having primarily female characters? Well, if you're looking to draw some men, look not further. Two of the Greatest Male Art Whores, Sabin Duvert and The Poison Arrow, are uniting forces to run a joint contest featuring each of our original characters by the same names.
SO what does this mean for you, oh wonderous artists? That means that you have the choice to draw either of our characters... or.... draw Both together!

Like most contest, you can draw them either individually (or with other characters in their storyline(s) ) or (and to be eligible for the Grand Prize) Drawn together (versus eachother, for example).

FAQ

Q: Eep! I don't have anywhere to host my finished picture! What can I do?

A: No problem ^_^. I will accept artwork in ANY way you can get it to me ^^. First off, you can try the free image hosting at www.photobucket.com - BUT I know that it limits the space you have, and if you have a high quality image you may not want to use it. Also, if you want, you can email me a piece at arania(at)kamiki.net. I (Sabin) am collecting the artwork since I am the one compiling and hosting the images. The standard way to submit, of course, is posting to the thread. You CAN PM me an image IF YOU HAVE TO - but I would really prefer if you are already hosting the image to just post it so there's less chance I'll lose track of it ^_~ Finally, if you have NO scanning method and you're really desperate and you did it in real media, you could mail it to me as long as it got here before the date. For this, contact me ^_~.

Q: Do I HAVE to draw both characteres?

A: No! You can draw either Sabin OR The Poison Arrow if you want to. However, if you want to get the Grand Prize, your entry must include both characters in the same piece. You can also enter separate pieces of each character respectively, but again: to be eligible for the grand prize, both characters must be present. You also can make it so your entry - say if it's a digital entry - has different "layers" of each character - so you could have individual pieces that can be combined to one dual-character piece.

Q: Is there an entry fee?

A: Certainly NOT! You shouldn't have to pay me to draw for me - quite the opposite!

Q: Does it have to be in color?

A: No! Not at all - some of the best pictures I've seen are done with high-detail black and white!

Q: what media can I use?

A: Any media you like! Pencil, pen, markers, watercolors, CG of all types, glitter and glue, I'm not picky ^^

Q: Can I write instead of draw?

A: Yes! I accept -all- forms of art, including Writing if that's your forte ^_^. Admittedly, I have an eye for visual arts, but if you really amaze me, then I will most certainly make exceptions smile


Q: Can I change their outfit?

A: Certainly! Have fun ^_^.

Q: Can I draw another character in the picture/scene with Sabin or Poisey?

A: Sure - And even better if you include some characters that are actually tied to the characters in question (Like Samantha or Kamiki for Sabin or Kat for Poison...)

Q: Can I do an... erm... piece that's above PG-13?

A: yes you can... >.> However, do not post them directly on the thread. I reccomend emailing them to me at
arania (at) kamiki (dot) net or PM'ng them to me.

Q: How do I submit my entries?

A: I would PREFER that you post them to the thread. However, if that is a problem for you, or you don't have an image host that is reliable, you can email them to me at arania(at)kamiki.net

Q: If I win something, can I sell the prize I win?

A: Yes - you can do whatever you want with your prize. If you won gold I wouldn't expect for it to sit in your inventory ^_~. The prize is meant as a reward and if you would rather trade/sell it for something you want more, then by all means do so! If you win grand prize and you'd rather have the gold instead of ah OMG or Nov letter then sell it to get what you want - you deserve it!

Q: Can I enter more than once?

A: Yes! Yes of course! You can enter as many times as you like, but there is only one prize per piece allowed.

Q: Does it have to be your characters?

A: Yes, that's kinda the point >.>

Q: Wow! You've got a November letter! can I buy it for a million gold?

A: NO! This is the prize of the contest. To me, it's as good as spent, and will NOT be sold under any condition, no matter how valuable it gets between now and the end of the contest. It will be the winner's to do with as they please smile . The same goes for any other prize listed. I will NOT sell ANY of the prizes listed in the contest.

Q: Can I submit a piece I drew for one of you before?

A: NO. All pieces submitted to this contest must be new for the contest. However, if you've drawn one of us before, all the better and you've had practice ^_~.
