Hi, and welcome to the Drinkables home base! I'll be your host through this crazy mess, Raife. So, I bet you're all wondering, how did this all start? Well, you know those drink fountain machines? The ones that have different sodas, and you can mix ten different sodas in one drink? (With ice. I love the ice.) Well, I'm always in search of the perfect mix. Sometimes you hit a good drink, sometimes a bad drink. Well, I'll tell you, I sure didn't expect what happened that ONE day.
I was at the university food court, mixing sodas again (hey, it's only about $1.20 for a drink and I was thirsty.) when I must have added a little too much mountain dew, because I swear on Pete's Dragon, the concoction began to glow! I was a little scared of it at first, but always being adventurous (some would say horribly dumb), I stuck my finger in it and took a taste. It sure wasn't normal! It tasted like nothing I'd ever tasted before! There was something simply...magical about it. After watching it glow and swirl for a while in my paper Pepsi cup, I took it home to watch it a little longer.
When I got home, I moved it to a new container. A nice glass one where I could see the glowing and swirling. Maybe in the only -albeit unconscious- stroke of brilliance I've ever had, I lazily left a few drops of liquid on the bottom in the glass and poured the concoction into the glass. After all. What could one new liquid do? I wasn't any sort of scientist. Measuring? Pah. I went to bed, tired from a long, draining day, and was out like a light, before I hit the pillow.
The next day, I was disappointed to see that the liquid on my desk looked normal! It wasn't glowing at all. It was just sitting there. Lightly colored. It wasn't even swirling. Disappointed, I ignored the glass. Being a bad housekeeper, one day became several days of it sitting there, looking bland and boring and...slightly orange. After about six days, I woke up to a tiny voice.
"HEY! HEY! I'm awful hungry here, do you think you could feed me, pleath?"
....And that's how I met Benson and this mess began.
