Lucarin History
(Saf is writing this up, and has tons of ideas. She hopes people will like it when it's all finished.)
There are many stories on how Lucarin was created, founded, all that. But very few of the elders around know the true story. For it happened long ago, before even their grandparent's time. When magic was a fluent, common thing, taking it's own shape and bidding what humans wanted, but for a price.
Mages like this, able to control these beasts of magic, were rare, but strong. Sadly, being human, there were some who abused these powers and did all they could to avoid paying the price. Many who slipped into this practice were slain immediately, the Mages fearing that it's power could run rampant into the hearts of young mages-in-training. But soon the slayings were done for something more than punishing those that avoided the price. It was used now for personal gain, wreaking a state of havoc with mages and the non-magies a like. Soon enough, almost all the mages were killed, except for one. A young looking virgin girl, pure by heart and soul, was left to live, for she could not be Tainted by anything it seemed. Her long silver-blue hair fell behind her back gracefully, her silver eyes always full of care and love. Her pale features, though not flashy, showed beauty within and without.
There were many tail just of this maiden, just on her beauty and her gifts. But only a select few really know the true story behind her. Her loneliness, her eventual self-banishment, her sadness, and the species within a land that she created....this is the story of Lucarin.
