Post 4- Tales of Eternia
Well everyone...from here on out, EVERYTHING you read is all the work of Garlyle, my good and knowledgeable friend. If you've ever got a problem concerning Tales of Eternia, I'm pretty sure you know who to go to!
Again, thank you very, very much, Garlyle!
Tales of Eternia/Destiny II
Introduction and Overview:
The third of The tales series and released in 2000, known as Tales of Destiny II in america, Tales of Eternia had an amazing improvement on the Graphics and gameplay, its the first to give you free control of any of the characters, introducing the Harder play modes, and a very fun Combo & casting system, Tales of Eternia is really popular in japan, such popularity is the reason why we are getting a psp version and a pc MMORPG actually. O__o
Tales of Eternia is a tale about 2 planets, Inferia and Celestia, both havent had contact for about 2000 years, but this changes when Meredy, a Dark-skinned girl, falls from the skies of Celestia and finds Reid, the hero of our story, a common hunter who doesnt really cares about the issues of the world, Just after meeting her childhood friend farah, they find the Celestian girl and decide to help her in her issues, even if they dont understand her language, so they settle to Mintche and meet Kelee, another childhood friend and a amazingly smart scholar, little they know the fate of the world is in their hands.
Lather we will also meet another 3 characters, and start gathering the greater craymels, which are like the summon spirits. we even get to travel to Celestia, a really interesting planet that is unlike any other you have seen. ToE is kinda short compared to another Tales games, but it has A LOT of sidequests to compensate it, even the airships are optional.
wink .

Character reviews and their hidden skills
Reid hershell
The strongest and more mature hero of The Tales series, he is amazingly strong, he doesnt need a swordian or Exphere to kick some a**, though, even with such potential, Reid doesnt really care about the world, and acts really harsh toward his partners, he enjoys having a simple life and eating some Hot-boiled meat, a masculine guy at everything he does.
Sacred Skill extensions and "Hi-ougi"
Dragon Demon Chaos: Perform Omega Demon chaos, and when the eighth hit strikes, perform it again. Instead of performing ODC, you'll do DDC. Nice. However, you need to have used ODC over [(5-(*Total # of attacks)) x 30 + 1] times. The # of attacks is the skills Reid chains together. Also, the enemy must have less than
[2000-(total # of times Omega Demon Chaos was used)]
Burning Phoenix: Execute rising phoenix, and when you're landing from the combo, execute it again. You need to have performed Rising phoenix over [(5-(Total # of attacks) x 50 + 50]
Quasi Seal: Perform Omega Seal and let the enemy levitate. Before slashing him, input the command for Omega Seal again. You need to have performed Omega seal at least 50 times, only one enemy is left in battle, and such enemy has less than 20,000 HP. This attack will finish him off.
Aurora skills (Hi-ougi)
Dont worry about how to get them, the Aurora skills are part of the story, you will get them no matter what.
Aurora wall (50 TP): Press the Defend, skill and Attack button at the same time (X, Circle, Square).
Aurora Sword (100 TP): Tap the attack button (X) when performing the Aurora wall. (yeah, when reid is exploding and doing that cool pose, just tap x like mad)
Aurora wave (50 TP): Press the Defend, Skill and attack buttons when the enemy attacks you with the Dark aurora (last enemy).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Farah Oersted
The lively Tomboy girl of the group, she loves helping everyone at everything she can, we dont really know why she does it. She always pushes Reid to do risky things. and she can match any guy in battles with her powerful martial arts. She develops a lot through the story, her catchphrase is "No problem!".
Farahs Ultimate skills:
Fatal fury (60 TP): Perform "Chi" (120 times) + Eagle Rage (120 times)
Deadly Force: Farah has to lead in battle for 300 fights.
Maximum Burst: Perform Chi, and when the second strike hits the enemy, perform Chi again. You need to have performed Fatal Fury at least 30 times, and Chi about 150 times or something like that .__.
Flame Dance: Perform deadly force, and while the screen is black, perform this combo to activate Flame Dance: punch, punch, ground to air skill, air skill. you must hit the enemy with every skill. (Hard huh?)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kelee Zeibel
The smart but phisically weak character, he is an amazing spellcaster and scholar, though his theoryes are considered crazy and incoherent, kelee just wants to pursue the ultimate knowledge, and do some good in this world, Im sure a lot of people will start to like him much more when they get to celestia
wink .
Meredy
The misterious girl from Celestia, She hangs with her pet quickie, and acts really childish, she is actually much more important and deep than she may look like, her background will make you respect her and love her, she DEFINITELY isnt the tipical "cute annoying anime girl" thats for sure.
Hidden spells for Meredy and Kelee:
Shooting Star(altered version): when you cast it, Arche(Tales of Phantasia)) will appear and you'll be able to control her
for a shor while. Use O, X and O+X to use her attacks. You need to have Maxwell at level 30 and his vitality at Maximum. Obviously, you also need to perform shooting star.
Maelstrom: After Spread is cast, it may extend into this. The requirements are having Undine over lv15, and have her with high vitality, equiping water elemental accesory helps, like the poison charm.
Maxwell summon extensions
- You must have beaten the game once and have access to Hardcore. Then fight
and win one battle in hardcore. After that, the extension can be done at any
game difficulty.
- You have to control the Craymel Mage that is summoning Maxwell. And naturally
Maxwell's C. Vitality has to be at MAX before you can summon.
- Maxwell must be set at the Craymel Mage's normal button command input. It
cannot be put at the Shortcut. And it does not work on all enemies, though it
works on most enemies. All enemies must not die otherwise the summon cannot
be continued.
- The first Maxwell summon TP cost can be reduced to 50 TP with the aid of a
Faerie Ring, but the summon extensions all cost 100 TP each and cannot be
reduced with a Faerie Ring. Thus you need to have around 800 TP before you
can do all the summon extensions.
1. Summon Maxwell. While this is in effect, hold <- + SQUARE until Dual the Sol
is executed.
2. While Dual the Sol is in effect, hold CIRCLE until Eternity Swarm is
executed.
3. While Eternity Swarm is in effect, hold X until Prismic Stars is executed.
4. While Prismic Stars is in effect, hold TRIANGLE until Shining Gate is
executed.
5. While Shining Gate is in effect, hold SQUARE until Explosion Nova is
executed.
6. While Explosion Nova is in effect, hold TRIANGLE + CIRCLE until
Maxwell Minimus is executed.
7. While Maxwell Minimus is in effect, hold SQUARE + X + CIRCLE until
Dimension Material is executed.
8. While Dimension Material is in effect, hold SQUARE + X + CIRCLE + TRIANGLE
until the enemy freezes a bit and Blue Earth will be executed.
* You need to equip the Derris Emblem and Mental Ring in order to activate
Blue Earth. Blue Earth costs 250 TP and even with Faerie Ring, there is not
enough TP as it will cost 1000 TP altogether. You need a TP restoring item
like the Mental Ring or Resume Ring to restore TP while Maxwell's other
extensions are in effect. You need to have about 980 TP or more to finish
the extension. And you need the Derris Emblem equipped before you can even
activate Blue Earth. So you cannot equip the Faerie Ring.
* Blue Earth does not do damage, rather, it restores your party's HP and TP by
about 2000 HP and 200 TP multiply 5 times each and revives any fainted
characters. It will give you 100,000 EXP after battle.
* These is written with the default controller settings. If it does not work,
you need to press according to your settings. Thus it's <- + DEFEND, SKILLS,
ATTACK, MENU, DEFEND, MENU + SKILLS, DEFEND + ATTACK + SKILLS,
ATTACK + DEFEND + MENU + SKILLS.

Chat
My favorite character, the cute celestian pirate girl who trows hammers, and optional battle character (you meet her, but she wont join you until you ask her). I really like her love towards machines, and we both share the hate towars fluffy animals such as quickie.
Getting Chats skills
Ice Hammer:Nice skill, Its fun to leave your enemies frozen.
Go to Insea, at this coordinates: (120, 122), and examine the
Aifread Monument.
Toss Hammer: boring skill, poisoning is not really good agaisnt an enemy that will die in seconds lather ;P.
Go to Celestia, at this coordinates: (184, 139), and check out the Aifread monument there.
Para ball: amazing powerful skill!! the one I use the most with her, to get it you must go to the Craymel Hot Springs(208, 10
cool . Pay 600 Gald at the front desk and move through the funny cutscenes, you will get it then.
Eternal Hammer: Go to Chat's place and down the stairs. Check out the Aifread Monument there to get some coordinates: (204, 98 ). Go there(Aifread's Cave) and clear the Math Challenge at the dice room.
I LOVE THIS SKILL!! It will surely drain all your tp, but just use a pine gel to fix that, I love spamming this deadly move..
whee
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Max/fog
The only Celestian guy everyone loves, the kickass character that will make you laugh and wonder what his past is, even if he is optional, he is amazing for the time you meet him.. I mean, hes got a bazooka! he RULES!! ;D
Finding the Miacis.. err.. max skills O__o
Air Blade: After the Seyfert Shrine, visit the Peruti Port and look around for
the Miacis.(level 1)
Rage Laser: After visiting the Seyfert Observatory for the first time, head to Cape Fortress(the place you start in Celestia) to find this Miacis(level 1)
Dark Laser: After the Regulus Tomb, go to Luishka ruins and go one screen up from the entrance. Check out the debris to the left until the Miacis pops up.(level 2)
Aqua Spiral: At Tinnsia, head toward the item shop and take the escalator next to it, so you go up. You'll appear near the weapon's shop, by a gnome statue. Head toward such statue and meet the Miacis(level 2).
Elemental Master: Firstly, visit all of the previous locations(WITHOUT having Max in your party) to meet a painter named Lesitia. Once you've met her in all of those locations, go to Jini and wait for nighttime. Then, go to the Jini Auction to find Lesitia again. She'll hand over the Canceler(let's you combo the skills). Afterward, come back here, but with Max in your party, and you'll find the Miacis, who'll hand over the skill.
