As Ayen ran towards the monster he did not see the one that had just arrived until it was too late. A wave of pain hit him as he felt a tentacle hit his side. He was then sent flying at such a force that when he hit a near by tree, the tree almost fell down. A huge dent was left in the trunk as Ayen fell to the ground.

Landing on the ground, Ayen winced. He did not stand a chance against these things. But I have to keep on fighting, he told himself. With this thought in mind, he forced himself to stand up, despite of the pain that was threatening to overtake him. He used his sword to push himself up and when he did he looked up at the monsters through his stormy grey eyes.

He knew that this was probably the end for him, but he did not care; he would do anything to protect the earth.

1. Do we need to post a profile? If so, what would you like it to include?
2. Are the other people who join (such as myself) also quest hunters? ))
Quentyn Varco quietly entered the Tavern, not that he cared if anyone took notice of him. Quentyn stood at an average five feet, ten inches and had a modest build. His steel grey eyes took in the smelly, noisy tavern as he moved over to the bar, and took a seat next to a depressed looking young lady. He was dressed in the common traveling clothes, tunic and trousers with a hooded cloak covering them. A couple of odd things stood out however, such as his hair, which was a strange blue, and his equipment. Besides his pack, which he placed at his feet, he carried only a shield of sorts. It was medium sized, circular, and it appeared to have an 'edge'. "Dwarven Ale." Quentyn told the barkeep when he came over to serve him.

As she put the glass of wine down on the counter, she faintly notcied that a man was sitting next to her. At first she thought that she might ignore the person, but when she took a good look at him out of the corner of her eyes, she saw that he was a traveller. And from her experience, travellers were the ones that needed help with quests.

Turning her head to look at the man, she put a friendly smile on her fair, very feminine looking face. "Hello," She said brightly. "I couldn't help but notice your attire... Are you a traveller?"
(( ok, I'll be a quest hunter then, one more thing, although fairly obvious, this is set in medieval times? Or am I mistaken, and will you allow things such as magic? And sorry to ask yet another, but do all quest hunters know one another?))

*Shadow was wondering around the town, the same town Temra was in, he was looking for a job, a quest, he had not done one in a long time*
"Damn it! Where the hell are they all!? People don't need us anymore!? What will become of us.... "
*He sighed, he had caught the attention of several people walking past, the glanced at him for a minute, befor deciding to ignore him and just walk on*
" Heh...."
[This is set in medieval times and it is fantasy so magic is allowed... Also, no, all Quest Hunters do not know each other]

Quentyn turned in his seat and looked over at the inquisitive young woman. He paused to think for just a moment before answering."Aye. I 'aven't stayed over long in any one place." Quentyn said as the Bartender delivered his drink. "Thank ye." He told the Bartender politely as he payed the required gold. Then turning back to the Lady, he brushed a lock of blue hair out of his eyes as he asked, "But why would ye be wantin' to know about that?"
A red-robed figure slunk into the tavern, taking a table at the farthest end of the room, close to the fire. The figure removed its hood, revealing the thin, fine face of a young woman. She also possessed a staff, which she lay, reverently, across the table.
