Gogo cannot use Female-only Weapons
That is what started the cogs turning in my head to once and for all, debunk Gogo.
Gogo is found in the "X-Zone" we'll call it. Here, you travel through an almost 'maze'-like cavern. (but not really xp ) and you end up at this altar at which Gogo stands.
To first debunk some existing theories.
OHCRAP! GOGO IS DARYL! Gogo cannot be Daryl. Daryl's body is in her tomb.
Siegfried(managed to hone his skills, but didn't want anybody to know who he really was until necessary). Seigfried is the the WoR colluseum.
Gogo is Geshtal: He was thrown over the side of the Floating Continent, and it's possible he could have landed and got eaten by Zone Eater. Now. If you were Gesthal, and you had been able to recover yourself once arriving in Zone Eater...Would you use Mimic? Or would you use Merton, Flare, etc and bust some a** and get out of the cave?
Now, for my finishing touches (Most information in the below paragraph was gathered from various other forums on the internet, and pieced together for this express purpose):::: The Bolded part ends all theories.
Gogo was actually in FFV. Not as a playable character, of course, but an optional boss in the third world. When you "beat" it, it gives you the final crystal shard with the final job: the mimic. Gogo didn't look the same in FFV (http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/snes/ff5/enemies/gogo.gif), but that was Gogo nonetheless. You had to beat it in a trick battle, where the way to win was to do absolutely nothing during the battle (similar to the Dark Knight battle in FFIV, only this time Gogo won't attack you either, as long as you don't attack it). So, because Gogo was also in FFV, it's safe to say that it's actually not a person but rather just a mimic. That's it. If in any upcoming Final Fantasy game Square wants to make a mimic system of some kind, they'll get Gogo involved in some way.
And that's it. The mystery as to WHO Gogo is has been solved. He is just a mimic, an extra character. It could be said that if FF was on a timeline, Gogo would be timeless, and immortal aswell. Since he made his first appearence in FFV, I'd have to say his appearence in FFVI was to make all the people who did play FFV first go "OMFGSHITS IT'S GOGO!!" and rejoice at a familiar site, aside from Chocobos. Just someone to 'Multiclass' your abilities.
