Puffy is an excellent jpop group that signed a label in the US a couple of years ago after making a HUGE splash in Japan, but they had to change their name to Puffy AmiYumi because of Puff Daddy or something. (Ami and Yumi are the singers and essentially the band itself.) They're excellent but most people know them as "the girls who sing the Teen Titans theme".

Does anyone else like them? Personally my favorite song by them is Umi Heto.

EDIT: There's no other Puffy official thread ^^ I think this'll be it, yeah?

I have recently just checked out a bunch of bands and got some MP3s to sample! The song Umi Etto (I think that was how it was spelled, correct me if it's wrong!) was a really good song! It was up-beat and catchy, but I have not heard anything else by Puffy.

Have you heard of Go!Go!7188, Bonnie Pink, or the 5,6,7,8's? I like them as well!

Yay! A Puffy AmiYumi Thread!! I love them! I have their album.. I think my favorite song is Red Swing and Shiawase. Umm.. I also have the Just A Girl album and Even So for Bonnie Pink.. along with a couple of other singles such as "I'm in the Mood For Dancing" .. and a couple others.. idk.. I have many.. I LOVE BONNIE PINK. She's one of my favorites. When people at school say they like Avril or blah blah. x.x I say I like Bonnie Pink.. anyways..
Umm.. yea.. I've also heard of the 5, 6, 7, 8's from Kill Bill.. lol.. but I haven't heard of them elsewhere.

I heart them. They're so adorable. They're coming here to San Francisco in October (the eleventh, I believe)... but my dad won't let me go because that's a Monday. And I'm in school. And rawr. D;

Anyways, they need more fans. I probably know one other person who listens to them. Meh. >_o;

I love Puffy AmiYuki! They're so great! I like the song K2G. it was used in the episode when they were trapped with that Austin Powers lookalike.

I will never actually admit to being anything more than a casual Puffy fan, but they are very likable. Direct, honest, and often cheerful. I am personally a fan of "Puffy no Rule", "Kore ga Watashi no Ikiru Michi", "Atarashii Hibi", and the ever-spooky "Shoubijin". And "True Asia", but only for the pandas.

Anybody here own An Illustrated History? I borrowed it from a friend who had it because her dad worked for their music company or somesuch, and now I kind of wish I had my own copy...

It's amazing how much this attempt to penetrate the American market is succeeding, unlike their previous attempts...

You're thinking of "Boogie Woogie #5", or alternately "BugiUgi #5".
