First of all, I'd like to say, this thread has been created in dedication to the wonderful Anti-Guide, where writers can discuss with each other how great stories are made! *coughcoughnotreallycoughcough*

Due to the creation of The Harry Potter Anti-Guide, I thought it fitting to help all the Naruto Fanfic-noobies write a fantastic story! Shall I start us off?

1. Your wonderful OC should definitely attract the attention of every villain in the series, especially the Akatsuki and Orochimaru. Because, after all, they're so powerful that anyone would want them on their side!

(Alright, for the people who don't get it... In the Anti-Guide, you need to point out the most annoying, repeditive, overused ways that people abuse fanfictions--an all powerful Mary-Sue, ultra ninja with the Sharingan and Byakougan, etc...-- and put it in a way that it seems like you're supporting it. So have fun, be silly, point out all the stupid ways writers abuse the title of "Author", and, most importantly, DON'T ACTUALLY FOLLOW ANYTHING MENTIONED IN THIS THREAD! Thank you.)

It is perfectly realistic for your fledgling 14 year old ninja be a jonin in all four villages, with a headband for each, a Sharingan eye, and have suffered an angsty past where she was ostracized from society for her incredible powers and/or abandoned by her parents, despite being a total guy-magnet now.

It is perfectly acceptable for Naruto to wangst on for fifty some odd chapters about how everyone in the village hates him and how he should just die. Naruto should never do anything to break out of his depression. He should curl up and cry like a little girl. In the end, Sasuke should either intervene, healing him with the power of true love and or intercourse, or Naruto should give in to the wangst and kill himself.

Naruto is found attractive by every male character. Naruto, being less experienced in the ways of man-on-man love, must be taught by more experienced characters such as the teacher guy and the emo black-haired guy.

And of course Naruto yaoi is a must. What's the point of making a Naruto fanfic if it doesn't have yaoi? Who cares if it's not canon?! You need to have yaoi! And make sure the pairings are with two people who would never really get together in the actual show. A great example is Uchihacest! They're both male and they're brothers! Who cares if Sasuke and Itachi hate each other? It's HAWT!

((Not meaning to bash on anyone who likes slash pairings. I don't simply because they're not canon. If you like them however, I apologize and I don't mean any offense. It's just tiring to see so many Naruto fanfics about yaoi...))

Iruka, despite all apperances, is a girl! Didn't you know that? It's perfectly acceptable to write him as a weepy, blushing uke in the face of Kakashi/Gai/fill-in-the-blank. That's just what he is! Writing him in a frilly pink apron is a bonus.

Sharingan is the only bloodline trait. Who cares if you character is in the Inuzuka or Hyuuga clan? If you give them a parent who was from the Uchiha Clan then they will be unstoppable. Wait, even better make both their parents from a different clan and then the child had Sharingan. Also an angsty past where all family is dead and made your character emo is the only kind.

Make sure you insert yourself into the story as the main character. It helps if your character is a dues ex machina that can outdo a kid with whiskers and a fox with 9 tails in his rectum.

Your OC is a god-send, able to clear up all misunderstandings/conflicts within the plot, defeat all baddies, bring together all potential romances, and generally set the world as it should be. Your OC is just that awesome.

Remember Sakura is compleatly worthless.So much so that it's perfactly fine to ignore her existance.If she must be in the story, DO NOT let her ever fight.Her sole purpose is to be the pretty face that the boys rescue.
(Man, thats odd for me. Sakura's probley my favorite chericter.But she is so disrespected by fic writers...)
