Dalia's gained a brother. His name is Durin. He's still a little cocoon, but he's a happy little jelly bean. Dalia seems happy to have him around. She keeps playing with him.

Alright, so Durin's learned to talk. I know how to talk, I just don't. Mom's all happy about him talking, and I think a bit distressed over my lack of vocalizing. I can write, though, so write I shall.
Durin's a sweet little thing. A bit annoying at times, but I suppose that's only because he's my little brother. I always have my block fortresses to hide in, though.

I don't think Tippin likes me very much. I so want a friend besides Durin. Julius is nice, and I like him, but somehow I can't relate to him. I wish Tippin would notice me. Today I got the ice cream down for him, and he just called me a big show-off. I don't even like ice cream. It's too cold.

Mom's all excited because I've grown. I really don't see how she didn't notice it before. Parents are odd like that, I suppose. In the meantime, she's fussing over Durin, who's eating ice cream for breakfast. Ever since Julius showed him what ice cream -was-...
Me, I've made myself a breakfast burrito, complete with some nice spicy Guacamaya sauce Mom brought back from Mexico. Yum.

You are handed a peice of paper... it appears to be a lab report... on it reads... :

Subject: Small red cocoon...
Observer: Keppit
Report:
This is Keppit writing for cocoon number six, found near Mexico on the beach... the cocoon appears to be slightly sunburned, however the sunburn seems to not be going away. This was my main concern for the poor little thing, until this morning that is... this morning cocoon number six started to spark... small sparks in a red colour... Needless to say this concerns me more than the sunburn did (which is still aparent on her skin... I'm under the impression that it may be permanent)... The sparking stopped this afternoon...and I haven't seen it since... I did some research and I think that I may have found the reason for the sparks... In an old book I found a description of ancient floppis that created sparks as a cocoon... they called them torches... and these torches could controll the temperature of objects in their sight... aparently they could heat up a chair from across the room... but these abilities only started showing up in the late child stages early adult stages... and these abilities need much practicing... There was one Floppi who lived to be a hundred and with all that practicing he could start fires at the bink of an eye... however he was the most powerful torch ever alive and there has never been another of anywhere near his strength.... I do not believe that this floppi is of a particularly high ability, however I am under the asumption that Cocoon number six is a torch... none the less... I will continute to observe this cocoon from affar after it has found it's home....

Mama's a counselor at some camp this week. At any rate, they won't let Durin or I come. So I'm stuck babysitting my little brother.

There's this wierd acorn thing sitting in a blanket-nest on the table. Mama says not to bother it, because it'll be another sibling for Durin and I. It sure doesn't look like a Floppi to me, though.

Mama's been going through some...emotional hardships. She gets all teary at the drop of a hat. Something about boys. Stupid boys. Durin and I try to comfort her, and I think it works, but only on a temporary basis. Maybe she'll cheer up when this acorn thing hatches. It has this feel like it's getting ready to pop open and become something.

Wow, so much has been going on, I forgot to write! The acorn thing grew a while back, into a cute little squirrel. I think she likes us. Her name's Rojiza. And then Mom got Durin and me another little sister! She's still a little cocoon, but her name is Olga. She's cute, all purply and whatnot.

In other news, Tippin grew up. He's very handsome.
