Powers: Ria's power has been manipulation of fire, and she is also post-cognative. (Which means that she can see, hear, and converse with the deceased.) "I see dead people."
Personality: Ria for the most part is pretty easy and outgoing. A bit of a tomboy, she's always ready for the "reckless" act... Quite a few of them getting her into trouble with her family.
Bio: I guess you can say that her "talents" started when she was about five, that was when she met her first real friend. A little boy about a year older. Her parents of course that it was natural for the little thing to have a "imaginary" friend, little did they know that the boy was far from being caused by an over active imagination. It didn't take long for the girl to realize that her friends where no longer of flesh, esspecially when she realized that she grew older as the little boy didn't, and soon she found to keep her new discoveries to herself. The Manipulation of fire was a bit random for her. Lets just say that falling into camp fires would never have to be a big deal for her.
Other: Okay, lets say she's a bit of a game Junkie. Hooked on Guitar Hero, and all the Final Fantasy games she always can find something to do with her free time.

Powers: Caden's mind is connected to that of all the animals in the surrounding area, She can control them and use their strength in her body.
Personality: Caden practically lives for fresh air and excitement. She loves to be outdoors and run for no apparent reason. Caden will never turn down a challenge or a chance for adventure. Caden is practically always in some way smiling, and will be friendly even if people don't return the favor. She's never shy and normally acts on impluse.
Bio: Caden grew up with her mother, Father, and twin Brother Emmett. Her parents ran an animal rehabilitation clinic and she was always first to off help. She's climb right into the pin with a mountain lion or wolf. None of them seemed to phase her, just fascinate her. She often spent more time with the injured animals than she did with her family and actual humans. It was from this she discovered her connection to the animals. She practiced at first and she couldn't help but tell Emmett. She could tell he was upset but she always used her powers to help when she could. She was estatic when Emmett first got his powers and tried to convince him that they were super heros. She cut up her clothes and fabric making outrageous outfits and running around in them, which sadly sort of gaveway their secret to their parents. And as a precaution They sent them off to Avacyn's in hope that they might get a better hold of their gifts before something went wrong.
Other: There's a pet wolf that follows her everywhere and has even followed her to Avacyn's before.

Powers: Tari can control water, yet she can blow things up as well.
Personality: Tari's calm, yet outgoing and sensitive. She's a real go-with-the-flow type of person most times, and other times she thinks by her self and are quite secluded. Tari hangs out with a lot of people and she does care what people say especially when its offensive towards her or the people close to her. She'd maybe be plotting a little of revenge but not go overboard.
Bio: Tari was born to a rather wealth family, But at home, she was more of a maid than a daughter. She was alowed to do anything she pleased as long as she was taking care of her little sister, and the house was clean. Although Tari had known about her powers for quite some time, she secretly tried to keep them hidden because she didn't want to frighten her sister, and she knew her parents would flip. And sure enough, they did So they sent her here.
Other: No one knows that Tari's parents hate her, except for Tari. (Her parents hide it well.)

Powers: Renae manipulates metals, and her skin is quite resillient to temperatures.
Personality: Renae's able to manipulate her personality to fit the situation. She's usually calm and friendly when she's comfortable, but shy when she's around people she doesn't know. She gets angry and defensive easily, but only if she's provoked. If it comes to a battle of wits- or any battle, for that matter-, she'll fight her best, and take her win or loss as it comes. She has very little pride in the narcissistic sense, but not so little as to have no respect for herself as others, and such.
Bio: Renae lived with her single mother and their pet dog from the age of eight. She always had a strange relationship with her father; she hated him for leaving, but couldn't help but love him. She has trouble trusting any males who become close to her. She realized her powers in a fit of anger; she happened to be touching a piece of metal at the time, and it melted in her palm. The molten metal didn't scald her, like it would an average person. She decided to keep this a secret, afraid of how others would treat her in response. She was so excited to receive her letter, and packed that night, though the date of her departure was a while away. It was a relief to her; she was quite alone at that point, after distancing her from most people she knew, in case they found out her secret.

Name: Katie Rayel

Powers: Katie has the ability to heal injuries of other people. She can also levitate, but isn’t great at it.
Personality: Katie loves having friends, but she won’t make the first move. She prefers others to come to her. While she’d much rather follow, she can lead if she needs to. Unfortunately for her, her charisma isn’t great, so whether people follow her or not is sketchy. She will help people at a cost to herself. She can listen to other people’s problems, but won’t eagerly divulge her own for worry of being ridiculed. She will break rules if she needs to, but doesn’t like to for fear of being caught and punished. Katie won’t change the way she is just to fit in with people, instead, she’ll find people like herself.
Bio: Katie lived with her father most of her life. Her mother died while she was very young, so she has no memory of her. Her father has had no more children. He loves her very much and is a strong adult figure. Katie’s powers emerged at the age of 10, when her father sliced his hand on a knife while cooking. She simply placed her hands above his, and the wound sealed up. While, of course, shocked, her father wasn’t angry or anything. The two agreed to keep it a secret. Last year Katie was trying to reach a book off the top shelf in the den, when she simply floated a foot off the ground. Her dad came running in at her startled cry, and since then she has practiced to try and control how high she can go and staying there. Meanwhile, her dad had been searching for a school for kids with such… differences. He stumbled upon Avacyn Academy for the Gifted in the summer between grades 9 and 10, and made the decision to send Katie there. He is very supportive and will send letters every month.

Powers: I can manipulate lights, and I have some moderately enhanced speed, the speed seems to grow more as I focus more on the battle.
Personality: I'm a complete raver, and live by P.L.U.R.(Peace, love, unity, respect.). I'm anti-violence in the way that I'll never start a fight, but if you do I'll sure as hell finish it. I'll never hate or dislike someone without reason, if you include bad vibes as a reason of course, but normally I like anyone until I have a reason not to. I also believe that there are way too many people just in it for themselves these days, and strive not to be one of those people, by helping anyone who needs it without expecting them to do anything in return. I sees animals on the same plane of existence as humans, and believe that hurting them for no reason is wrong, people can survive without eating meat and I'm one to prove it. I'm also something of a skirt chaser, I'll stop almost anything he's doing for a pretty girl, but I can admit it, that's makes it just a little better...right? I'm a kid who's been through a lot in my life, but I don't let it show, I expresses my emotions through glowstringing and glowsticking, I feels there is no better outlet for your emotions than dancing and in my personal opinion creating works of art while you do it is all the better. Since the loss of my parents I've been actually more laid back than ever, feeling I now know first hand how fragile human life is, and how easily it can be snatched away. Which is just all the more reason to enjoy the time you have.
Bio: I was born in a big city, introduced to electronic, trance, and techno music at a very early age. From the day I was born they knew something was different about me, but I never had the chance to really use my powers, so no one noticed anything for quite some time. In fact, no one did until I was invited to this school. My parents were always working to keep our home, so I spent most of my time at home, listening to electronic music, and at the age of just five I was already playing with glowsticks, by eight I had moved onto glowsticks on strings. Though I had been doing it for a long time, I never felt I did it well enough until after one fateful day when I was nine. It was a regular day, someone knocked at the door when my parents normally would, but it wasn't them, it was a police officer. He informed me that my parents were killed, an old mans brakes snapped, he skidded out of control and kill both my parents, along with three pedestrians and himself. Austin would have to move in with his aunt. It was after this event that Austin learned that his dancing was a perfect way to express himself and let his emotions flow, doing so daily helped him feel a lot better. It also made him realize his powers, he could manipulate the light emitted by his glow sticks to do what he wanted, and even act as a solid object. He could actually walk on the tracers he created, for a second at first, but as he got more skilled he could use them as platforms for hours. Also, he has enhanced speed, allowing him to move his lights for freely, and create longer tracers to manipulate. Regardless of the violent potential of his powers, whenever he fights he does it solely hand to hand, as he doesn't like the idea of unfair advantages.

Powers: Emmett Can change the molecular structure of his body to that of any earthy material, such as, sand, rock, crystals, metal, etc.
Personality: Emmett is laid and reserved. He'll be friendly to people and greet them if her passes them but he'd much rather be alone reading or daydreaming. He doesn't like to pick too many fights and his sister irritates him with her constant recklessness every day. But he likes to hang out and have fun every now and then although he isn't as polite as his sister when it comes to rude people.
Bio: Emmett grew up with his mother, father, and twin sister Caden. His parent ran a animal rehabilitation clinic so they were always surrounded by various animals. He was never a big fan of all the creatures his parents brought home, but his sister was and it made him rather jealous when Caden first told him about her gift. They were only 10 then, and Emmett didn't realize his gift until he was 12. Their parents didn't know, they had promised each other it was their little secret. But it didn't stay secret for long, with Caden dressing up as a super hero and using her powers when ever she had the chance. They finally came clean about their powers when they were 14. Their parents weren't shocked or worried, but they figured they better find them some help before something happened. They were always the cautious type, their parents so at 15 they started their Freshman year at Avacyn's and have come back every year since then.

Personality: Mark is kind and caring towards his students, but if they step out of line he's not afraid to be strict with him. He hardly ever raises his voice unless the need arises.
Bio: Every since Mark was young he had a dream of becoming a teacher. His mother and father had both been teachers. His mother had been an English teacher and his father a math teacher, but he lost them both in a fatal car accident. While he lived in the orphanage he started realizing that he had special abilities he'd never even heard of until researching them. It didn't stop him though. So, deciding he would continue chasing his dream he researched the different teaching positions and found out his passion lay in music and psychology. Thus he applied for a psychology teacher position at a school that had teachers as well as kids that shared in having special gifts.
Other: British Accent, Plays piano. Often gets mistaken as another student for how young he looks.
